That's exactly my worry. The only man that could have snatched Lagos from Tinubu was Engr Funsho Williams in 2003. The margin was 200k. Tinubu had 900k votes and Funsho Williams 700k votes. Has there being any raining season before which drains and canals weren't disilted and cleaned? Also sir every year before Ambode a number of school buildings were renovated yearly, how many has he done?

Road construction has always been Lagos turf but NEVER in history has it comes with so much pain like now due to the ineptitude of his contractors and the lack of vision to ensure alternative routes are done to enhance free movement.

FYI am from Epe but i live in alimosho and as an Engineer i know the standard of the ill conceived Agege motor road is the worst i have seen in Lagos, more like the standards we see in backward states outside Lagos. Even the drainage won't serve the road for a year.

I work for both the LGA and the the state.

The main challenge they the LGA and LCDA chairmen and Chairwomen have with Ambode is over allocation and nothing more.

The governor used to be part of the LGA for many years and very conscious of the corruption. LGA chairmeb that can't even fix roads in their wards, yet the governor has been doing it for them, covering their inadequacies. Come and challenge me. I'm talking based in facts.
Ask her how reachable she is to residents in Herbert Macaulay and Yaba environ? All the roads in her LGA are bad, what did she do?

When Ambode came on board in 2015, the assessment of all roads in every LGA/LCDA was done.

They agreed and struck a deal to split LGA funds, with a part going back to the LGA and other part be used to fix roads. But the supervision and execution was to be done by the state government. Salaries of almost N7billion is being paid from Alausa on the 22nd and 23rd of every month and there's no issue, until Tinubu and his cronies came up.

Ask yourselves were the roads done? Is Ambode performing the task as expected? Yes he is. That's the koko

Which road is this one talking about presently now you can't make Egbeda to Isheri, a 5mins drive before Ambode,in less than an hour. Same with Ile-Iwe to council busstop;all major roads because of Ambodes gullies not pot holes again. Last week took me over an hour driving from Egbeda to mosalashi , and otherwise 3mins journey. As a Lagosian, proper one at that, i can boldly tell you we've NEVER had it this bad in 19yrs.

I believe Fashola had over 1 million votes despite that PDP and Jonathan won the state the previous weekend in the presidential election.

Don't count too much on APC's grip on power in Lagos state, especially when the federal APC has failed to effect any positive change even in sectors that do not need a vibrant economy before reforms are implemented, like the police force. The SARS and Fulani Herdsmen being valid examples.

Yes on paper your argument seems valid but also remember that the slight margin of Ambodes victory was a product of GEJ dollar rain in Lagos combined with OPC factor which no longer exist.

Lagosians and Lagos state APC party members are not the same entity.

Lagos state APC members are a subset of Lagosians, but unfortunately the very same subset that Ambode most emerge from first, before seeking the votes of Lagosians.

In 2007 Fashola was an unknown entity, Lagosians voted for him based on someone's recommendation and he performed. In 2015 Ambode was also an unknown entity, His votes was also on same person's recommendation and he hasn't disappointed in terms of performance.

FYI we only vote on the recommendation of the party we trust not the individual. On all the occasion Agbaje contested he had a likeable personality but we aren't sure that his not being presented by the party whose vision for the state we cherish, He will follow their blueprint for Lagos.

In essence what most people don't know is that Lagosians have keyed into APC development plan for Lagos which is a 50yr plan and in every election it's like a recertification of our Faith in that blueprint not in the person being put forward.

Imagine Ameachi saying Awolowo hates igbos and so do Yorubas because they (Igbos) were given £20 each after the civil war irrespective of their balance in the bank before the war.
Kindly consider the following points to prove the foolishness of his assertions
1) In the SS that was an extension of the igbos historically all the properties owned by them (Igbos) were seized by indigine and were not returned to them after the war. 2) THE Biafran pounds wasn't a legal tender internationally apart from Biafra land and hence the values couldn't be determined economically. Infact as of that time it was a generous gift considering the number of people to be giving

3) After the 1959 elections with no party with required number to form the central government Awolowo volunteered to concede the prime ministership seat to an older Zik for igbos and Yorubas to form the central government and for him to be the minister of finance under Zik but while Awolowo was expecting a reply Zik quickly announced a pact with the NPC where he conceded the prime ministership to Tafawa Balewa, a position Awolowo already conceded to him (Zik).
Who then is actually slave of the fulanis? One who is ready to be a ceremonial president without any executive power just to be in the fulanis good book or one thinking of Nigeria as a whole by conceding the no1 seat for a mere ministerial appointment?
