They see Omo Igbo as tiger/lion that must be shut from afar.

Upon all we have suffered during the war, having nothing other than penury in 1970, hunger was the other of the day, No shelter,our houses in Igbo land was bombed, No hospital, no education, no Igbo with a car, Igbos were barely empty and was having just £20 in 1970 but fast forward today, these people called Igbo are still feared by those who connived with their masters and slaves to exterminate between 1966 to 1970. Today Igbos are giant in education, giants in all sectors of the economy and envy to others.

God in the next world , if there is, I want to come back as an Igbo man, if you are Igbo be proud of you Igboness and never allow never do wells to weigh you down cos they will try.

when I saw your write up I was just laughing because you don't have knowledge of what you write. Are you better than yoruba in term of education and economy? If you are young and ignorant to know I will tell that yoruba is far better than you in education and economy. You can check google for details on recent economy per state of Nigeria. Check the state with better economy and poverty level then you will be able to know better. In Education, you will just be chasing at us at the back but you will never meet us. In one sentence,we are better than you.

If we check in details somebody like you may come from Ebonyi a dry land,full of poverty,where women are used for hard labour like cutting of grass on the road side but leaving in the south west region to get money so that you can feed your poor people in the village. If you don't know that majority of your people that make it today get there wealth in the south west or northern part of the country. Google will be of your help. Even your biafra lazy leader who ran away when SUPER Nigeria army wanted to kill him become famous outside your region before he led biafra army to the war front. Also somebody like Chinua Achebe etc make his way from south west Nigeria. I challenge you to mention one yoruba man that becomes famous from your region. USELESS set of people.

to me I,he think before actually commenting in the sense that most of our states and federal government were not injecting money into the rice production. Apart from Ebonyi and some other states in the north that were producing rice at low quantity, which cannot even feed 5 percent of the total population ,how do you want rice on the remaining importation of rice to be affordable to ordinary citizen. Sometimes I do buy ebonyi rice and I support developing local manufacturer but it must be a gradual processing. If I may ask,how long have you eating local rice and how many people have you seen eating local rice this year. Customs officers only make money through banned of importation of rice. Government should just find a means of encouraging local rice to compete with foreign rice and on the long run the importatio of rice will be defeated. Thank you

this is how most of you people will just rush to comment on what you don't have the idea about it.. He has said the correct things. I have met many commissioners and ministers that said that he or she knows nothing about the ministry he/she Is managing. They will tell you that they are not a professionals on the assignment or the office that was giving to them. In fact last two weeks I met a commissioner on the course of my job telling us frankly, that he doesn't know anything about the ministry giving to him to supervise but ask for our full support. The civil servant do most of the works due to experience they have and become a professional due to many years of experience and trainings. But the minister take glory of the jobs. For example,how would you expect somebody that study accounting to manage the affairs of ministry of mines and power? Is not possible

I am beginning to hate this Aregbesola. Likewise I'm not saying he should not send away the ghost workers but why paying them half salary when you have enough money to full salary. That is act of wickedness. Instead of verificationof primary school certificate why not borrow from integrated payroll and personnel information system(IPPIS) from the federal Government. Primary school certificate can only bring out the time of retirement for only those that enter school late and those that get employment late. So, use your sense wisely.

Yes this is true as many of the construction companies and quarries workers have lost their job due to delay in appointing ministers and lack of states government to embark on road construction and building construction. I know many that lost their job. Because most of the companies have close down their operation until everything is getting better. But my concern is if federal govt is not awarding due to delay in appointment of ministers what happen to the state govt after receiving their allocations and normal internal generated revenue? If the state govt have embark on project of different kind majority of workers will not loose their job.

To be sincere with you the two jobs are good. But I will advice you to go with federal university job as a non teaching staff. The benefits are are far better than federal ministry of works. Federal university pays with CONTISS which is far better than what federal ministry pays. If you want to continue your study,you will pay half of your school fees as a staff of the university. When your children get admission you will be paying half of the school fees and some other benefit you might not know for now. Also, if you are interested in lecturing you can easily cross than someone from outside. Just my advice.

They are still in existence. I know the case of imo state but I can't talk of other igbo speaking state. The most annoying thing there is that,they are being rejected at this modernize age. As a copper serving in owerri local government then, I saw one beautiful lady in that village on Eke(market) day,I so admire the girl. So I told one guy from that village that I'm well close with that I like the girl. The guy told me that, who will marry her apart from her people or yoruba from outside that he's Osu. That was the first time I know something about osu. Last year, a friend wanted to brake the hatred his people have for the outcast, he vowed to marry one lady from osu family. The family of that guy also vowed that he will be rejected and disown if he goes ahead to marry Osu. The problem became a serious one when the family of the lady has fixed the day of the wedding but the guy later surrender to the wishes of his family and ran away.
