"If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else." -Booker Washington |
@REALITY 101 what I am trying to infer is that corruption is so endemic in the country that you can hardly see a Saint to cast the stone. You will agree with me that where justice prevails, a corrupt person should not be asked to stone a person found guilty of corruption. The problem with us is that we are always glad to point an accusing finger to others whereas the other four fingers unfortunately point to ourselves. |

MY MIND TODAY It is in my mind today to urge the Federal Government to ensure that all unemployed graduates from our tertiary institutions start receiving upkeep allowances before the end of May, 2011. What however crosses my mind is how to ensure that workers who will illegally benefit from the Scheme would not be far above the unemployed graduates! - OMOKEMESI |

Thank you fellow Nairalanders. I appreciate you all. From all indications, inter-tribal marriage has come to stay in Nigeria. It appears the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. But if I may ask, who benefits more from inter-tribal marriage - the wife or the husband? Why? |

QUOTABLE QUOTE OF NEIL ESKELIN: "Every farmer knows that you can't sow and reap on the same day. There is a timetable for your harvest that requires both working and waiting. Patience is a small price to pay for what you will receive." *****Post Your Comment, if Any. -OMOKEMESI |
For years, I have been nursing the ambition to marry at least three wives. Lack of enough fund has all along been the block between me and polygamy. When I revealed my age-long desire to one of my friends recently, he asked: "Do you think money is the source of peace in the homes of polygamists that have no problems in their families?" He bluntly refused to elaborate. As luck would have it, and to my suprise, a Pastor who was passing by saw me yesterday and predicted that God would open the gate of blessing for me come 2011. I am in a fix. -OMOKEMESI |
MY MIND TODAY: I salute Nigeria and Nigerians as we celebrate the 50th year of Independence today. How many Families can afford to celebrate this Anniversary with joy, pomp and pageantry? |
CONGRATULATIONS !!! NIGERIA IS 50 AS AN INDEPENDENT NATION. As we rejoice today, Nigerians should always remember THE GOLDEN ADVICE OF That Great English Evangelist, JOHN WESLEY: "DO all the GOOD you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can." May God bless Nigeria and Nigerians! From OMOKEMESI |
