@Nsiman, thank you for your assistance. I have no sympathy for fake drugs and their importers/smugglers. Similarly, I don't have sympathy for importers/smugglers of contrabands. But I have sympathy for the "innocent" goods being condemned to death by consuming fire for no fault of theirs! Its like sparing the mother of a baby while the baby is killed for coming out of her mother's womb at the end of nine months without a known father! I believe such seized goods, if not auctioned, could be exported through accredited export agents at reduced rates. Since the purpose of the seizures is to serve as deterrents, the government should make money out of the exercise and not spend money on burning them. When we burn goods running into billions of naira, its like burning the money used to import them. Fake drugs must however be destroyed. Viewers opinions will be appreciated.

Please, who knows what happens to all contrabands seized by men of customs and excise in the country? Are the contrabands still being burnt?

THE TRAVAIL AND TRIUMPH OF JAMES WATT              Inventor of world-acclaimed Steam                     Engine                                                                                                The mine owners, for instance, refused to pay for the engine which had saved them thousands of dollars. Dishonest persons stole and used Watt's patents. Efforts were even made to get parliament to take away Watt's patents.    WATT declared: "difficulty after difficulty was however battled down. Parliament refused to take away the patents.  Persons who used them without right were punished. The mine owners were forced to pay what they owed. The business after long waiting and untold distress, began to pay."

@Newnikolas, thank you for your post and concern for those who found themselves in situation you pointed out. But you will agree with me that nobody dies without last words. The only problem is that 95% or more of dying words were not recorded. Even those who found themselves in situation you expressed must have said something before their inability to utter any word again. I have witnessed a dying man who was biting his finger for his inability to speak when he was about to give up the ghost. Still, he must have said something before his condition deteriorated.

ENOUGH is ENOUGH                                            Gentlemen and fellow Nairalanders. Enough is enough.  Enough of repetitions. You have all made your points for and against Comandclem.  Your respective submissions since this "debate" started on this thread are enough for viewers to decide  to invest or not to invest in Comandclem.  As for those who have invested, there is nothing the sympathisers can do to assist them again.  I am one of the investors.  Let nobody pity us again.   For instance, before I registered as a patentee in 2008, I read the Comandclem's Frequently Asked Questions boldly typed, on their website.  One of the ANSWERS emphatically confirmed that no patentee would get refund of his or her deposit if Comandclem lost the case against Mobil. That answer is enough to prove Comandclem's integrity and honesty.  Another answer to the question of where to get enough fund to pay "mouth-watering" allowances promised potential patentees. Comandclem did not lie. The only source would be from Royalties on Prof Uwemedimoh's invention IF the case against Mobil  was won by him.  To be forewarned is to be forearmed. If in spite of the aforementioned discouraging but honest answers, many people still invested, how can you without being insane accuse Comandclem of fraud or scam?   This is an Inventor who has publicly told the world several times that he rejected one billion dollars which Mobil allegedly offered him for his invention's patent right. This claim has not been denied by Mobil. What then is silence? Is it not fool-hardy for anybody to call Prof Uwemedimoh, who rejected offer of over 400 billion naira for his patent right, a scammer?   I am sorry if I have stepped on any toes because I don't want to offend anybody. We are all friends now. Let all of us adjourn the debate till December , 2010 when both parties will have fresh publishable materials to work on. Meanwhile, those who have sympathy for Comandclem should stop releasing sensitive materials. After all, neither Mobil nor Comandclem is on trial here. Or the Federal Appeal Court that gave the FINAL RULING has transferred the case to NAIRALAND SUPREME COURT? Enough is enough.   The problem which Prof Uwemedimoh is facing as an inventor is similar to those faced by James Watt when he invented one of the most useful Steam Engines on earth. AND there were other inventors of Steam Engines before him.  You will get details later on my thread, "Comandclem latest: Prof Uwemedimo speaks on payment to patentees".                    From  OMOKEMESI
Nairaland GeneralHow Can Our Lawyers Survive If We All Obey The Laws And Do The Will Of God? by Omokemesi(op): 9:56am On Oct 27, 2010
Those who run foul of the laws of the land are often arraigned before the courts and punished when found guilty. Nobody would pray that his or her children become law breakers. Our religious leaders - Pastors, Imams, etc - always appeal to worshippers in churches and mosques to obey the laws and do the will of God. How can our teeming lawyers and those who will be called to the bar every year survive if all of us obey the laws in Nigeria and do the will of God? ~OMOKEMESI
