EducationRe: Information On Babcock University Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State by Omolulu(m): 5:55pm On Aug 25, 2006
Babcock is becoming one of the best private universities in Nigeria in terms of Academics as the administration there is placing priority on academics and sports.it's improving in socials with the recent performance of music stars like d'banj,Kc presh and styl plus.Unlike some private universities Babcock allows the use of phones and only suspend/expel when actions threaten the life and property of students eg gang beating, mass fights etc.
Babcock is also engaged in research works in nearly every field of study offered by the university and this is seen as a criteria in the rating of any university in the world.
EducationRe: Between Private And Federal Universities by Omolulu(m): 5:39pm On Aug 25, 2006
I also agree with beyunce.Employers are now more concerned about people who are willing toprove their degree's worth than people willing to prove their universities strengths.
PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi For President In 2007? by Omolulu(m): 4:15pm On Aug 25, 2006
Pat Utomi is a good man.He can however become a credible force in the Nigerian political terrain if he gets some experience at the state level as a governor and understands the workings of the office of the chief administrator(Governor or President)of any polity.A teacher must have been a student and a leader once a follower.
When he gets that experience,he'll be the best man to lead Nigeria forward cheesy
PoliticsRe: Which Zone Should Produce The Next President? by Omolulu(m): 4:00pm On Aug 25, 2006
Although I'm not an exponent of zonal presidency,i would rather suggest in the interest of fairness and contribution to national wealth the zoning of the presidency to the south-south.I hope the people of that region are able to put forward credible candidates like Utomi and Duke rather than thieves like Igbinedion or Attah(i would go blind before i vote him as a president)
PoliticsRe: Worst Performing Nigerian Governor? by Omolulu(m): 3:46pm On Aug 25, 2006
It's a tight contest between igbins and ibori
But a champion must emerge from this contest
Give it up for the new world champion in corruption
LUCKY IGBINEDION cheesy cheesy cheesy grin grin
RomanceRe: Is There Really Anything Unforgiveable In A Relationship? by Omolulu(m): 3:30pm On Aug 25, 2006
From a religious point of view there is nothing unforgivable. For Christians we are all created in the image of God.If God Almighty is able to forgive all sorts of sins(Sodomy, murder, rape, cannibalism to mention a few),We can also forgive our spouses for whatever offence.Betrayal, heartbreak are terrible sins but are not the worst of sins.
Jesus provided a conditional ground for divorce(on grounds of infidelity).Because of it's conditionality he provided room for us to forgive our partners whenever they go the wrong way. What's the difference between an adulterer/adulteress and the partners who does not forgive and goes on to marry another partner. Both are guilty of the same crime(one was caught during the relationship and the other took advantage of the other partner's offence to commit adultery)
Are the bulk of Nairaland users suggesting that they cant forgive and are generally adulterous?!?!?! lipsrsealed
PoliticsRe: Wow! British Muslims Now Want Sharia Law by Omolulu(m): 2:10pm On Aug 25, 2006
Unfortunately for British Muslims,Britain has been a Christian stronghold from the Roman times. This is also evident in the Classic monasteries and churches like Westminster Abbey(built in the 10th century) and Salisbury cathedral. The Irish have been split into catholic and protestant camps and i don't think any Muslim has popped to claim a stake for Islam over there.
If Christianity cannot be legalized in Saudi Arabia or Iran(Islamic run nations),the British Muslims should Go to bed and hope sharia law will be instituted in the next life.Sooner or later they will be asking for the replacement of the British monarch with a Muslim shah or an ayatollah(like the Iranians)
Religion should be separated from politics.Whenever both are intertwined the consequences are underdevelopment, hypocrisy and the people that suffer the most are the common men and women who are meant to benefit from the good of religious and politically positive leaders.
peace. wink
PoliticsRe: President Of Nigeria In 2007: Who? <Poll> by Omolulu(m): 1:36pm On Aug 25, 2006
I think Donald Duke is the most credible candidate for the presidency.what most Nigerians do not understand is that the country needs people who would focus on the primary Job of the presidency which is to develop the country in it's own capacity.Nigeria has had enough of psychophants, soldiers, mallams and farmers who have done their best(or their worst as the case may be) at the Nation's number1 seat.
I visited Cross river state some months back and i was impressed at the rapid developments being implemented by Duke. This man has shown that he has the focus to lead a country like Nigeria and lay a foundation for other leaders to build upon.
Pat Utomi seems to know his onions but he needs to contest at the state level to give him the necessary experience on administrating the common man(not students or Volkswagen ltd). When he gets the necessary experience.he would be a strong candidate in conteesting the presidency come 2011).
I would rather drink the Atlantic ocean than to vote Babangida(Maradona)or Buhari(General Fight corruption)as presidents. We know what they can do once they get to the rock of aso. grin
RomanceRe: Is This How To Ask A Girl Out? by Omolulu(m): 10:32pm On Aug 24, 2006
It's really a very funny way to get a girl's interest.Relationships that start up this way last for a very long time. wink smiley
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Serie A, Premiership, La Liga Or Bundesliga? by Omolulu(m): 10:17pm On Aug 24, 2006
It's really a big shame that some so called watchers of football can wake up in the morning and think that the premiership is one of the worst in Europe.Although i do not deny the fact that the premiership has it's flaws,I would argue even with the most Myopic of Serie A and La liga lovers that the premiership has the pace, excitement and attractiveness which makes it the most watched football league in the world.
Thank God for Memory,When did they start showing live coverage of every La liga Match in Nigeria.80%of you Hypocrites who claim to be La liga lovers can't even mention all the terms that play in the La liga.this also applies to the serie a lovers(why do we like hypocrisy more than heaven).
I agree the two leagues are amongst the best in Europe-La liga for it's entertaining attacking style of play and the serie a for it's concentration on rock solid defence(this was evident in the world cup). But in the interest of rationale let us be fair in our evaluation of the premiership rather than be blinded by Partial illiteracy.
    grin wink
EducationRe: Private Universities In Nigeria by Omolulu(m): 9:49pm On Aug 24, 2006
It is really a shame that Nigerians can be so cynical about the importance of private universities to the growth of our country. Those who lambast Private Universities should rather show the usefulness of the education been received from their public universities by analyzing the achievement of Private Universities in the developed world.

Harvard always tops the lists of best universities in the world but Nigerians never bother to know that Harvard is a privately run University. The same goes for Stanford, Princeton, Yale, Vanderbilt and most of the Top Universities in the US.

I would rather suggest that Nigerians bid their time to watch the growth of private universities in the long run rather than expect a three year old university to become the best in the world. Hey cheesy the most successful enterprises, businesses, and organizations are privately run.

Fees in private universities are high because they are not funded by a Nigerian government that is only to happy to use that as an avenue to increase their wealth by millions. Thank you grin
