Kobojunkie: See, that is a major problem there. If YOU HAVE NEVER MET ME, you will likely NEVER know anything of me apart from that which you see me post here and what people, who equally may NEVER HAVE MET ME BUT ARE WILLING TO LIE THAT THEY HAVE, have to say of my person. Do you now see how irresponsible it likely is to speak PERSONALLY of people you have never met?
Basing your speak on that which you know for a fact, i.e. his record, you are more likely to be taken more seriously and able to speak factually, than when you speak by pulling facts out of thing air and everyone elses opinion.
I remember a case, sometime ago, where a man was arrested for despoiling so many women, and the murder of about 5 of them, over a period of 17 years. His neighbours rallied around him and swore the man was innocent. There testimony based on their never experiencing the dark side of this man; they had seen him from afar as a loving family man. When DNA proved the man was guilty and a killer, they all ran away like idiots for speaking up for a man wicked enough to despoil, and destroy woman after woman, for over 17 years.
The point - let us focus on that which we know rather than desperately trying to make up positives from thin air !! Positives from thin air? I do not deny the fact that people could be chameleons in nature, it is to be expected, if you had gone through my statement you would have observed that i blended two things together: his attitude in comparison with predecessors and people who i claimed have had reason to deal with him personally, i now put this to you , barring any administrative faults which the man had in abundance is there any observable negative attitude you observed during his tenure? now i stated as many others on this thread ( who probably saw what i saw) what i felt were his positives, you might educate me otherwise if you 've observed any (all humans have though), |

Kobojunkie: But you have NO DEFINITES on his personal attributes. You have NEVER met him, so how can you comment on his personal attributes? true, i never said i met him, but i had met people who had and were pleased with his attitude, i don't have to know you personally to hear about you do i? |

Kobojunkie: Do I need to pull out the dictionary at this point?
When you make an opinion based on other people's opinions, you make an assumption . . . . No deep English required here! You might have to, English could be simple but complicated, No one is denying his administrative records, I only happen to acknowledge his personal attributes My main point is: Let those who want to pay respect pay it, Let those who want to insult the man do it, but dont criticize the desire of every Nigerian to live a better life by insulting people with opposing views |

Kobojunkie: Brilliant !!! a eulogy based on ASSUMPTIONS, and ignoring the glaring facts of the man's actual 11 years in high office position!!! VANDERBA!!!!
Hey!! I can also eulogize Hitler in much the same way, I can assume since he looked really calm, gentle in most of his videos, that he was a wonderful leader and all was good . . . . weeeeeee!!!! You are very free to do that, it's Nairaland you know, you might find people to support you Assumptions you say, read my post, i made it clear--gentle but incompetent try finding better loopholes in my statement |

Kobojunkie: I would rather stick a fork in my eye than run around doing that for you. If you feel your fingers are broken and you choose to live in denial rather than search for the threads yourself, since you feel they are of great importance to your honesty in this case, then goodluck!
Since I am almost 99% sure you NEVER met him, how did you come up with your "POSITIVE" SPIN on his life? How were you able to measure his gentility? Just curious! I wish you could do that, you are also free to blame Yaradua, or Goodluck for that happening to you, You made a claim, i said provide proof, you've not done dat and it's your can of coke! hmmm how did i assume he was a gentle man? Well the way he carried himself in office and reports from people that worked with him (whom i have met 100%) formed my opinion, In comparison with past Nigerian leaders we've had, he was a gentleman, i am sure that accounted for his incompetency |

Kobojunkie: Is that a joke? You mean you have not seen the many threads honoring Abacha here on Nairaland? ROFLMAO!!! i'd be glad if you can show me a thread where 20% of the posters supported Abacha Death comes to every man, great or small, saint or sinner, but there are always 2 sides to a coin, that i choose to look at his positive side as a gentle person and you view him as grossly incompetent (which i don't deny) doesn't make me any less a lover of my country than you are |

pheonixChi: i dont have to and if you actually mean what you say then i feel nothing but pity for you, if you live in NIgeria, then look all around you, i mean beyond any plush setting, or are you going to make your self look ignorant to suffering and our history ? a hstory yar'adua and co play a huge part in, i really do feel sorry for your lack of vision. I try not to judge ppl on here but a few lines shows your mentality and i am sorry if i come across rude right now, i assure its not personal. i refuse to keep stush about this kind of foolishness being displayed a simple statement i asked you, prove it, please read my previous post as regards insults, nothing personal, since you have vision, the best you can do is to celebrate his death, while he was alive what were you doing? unfortunately i fear my mentality is a little bit higher but i wont trade words with you, that yaradua is dead doesn't mean i don't have issues with him, but if he did one thing right i would acknowledge it, save your anger and pray for worse people to die |

Kobojunkie: Even Germany refuses to praise Hitler, yet in Nigeria, as soon as death shows up, people COWER in fear, and resort to praising, and looking for positives in the obscene. If this is not a cowardly act, or hypocritical, I don't know what else is. did people mourn abacha? what positives did abacha have? |

userlist: What is all these you don't speak ill of the dead. So if Ibori, adonkey, Turai, babangida and the rest of them dies tomorrow I should fill pity. Nigeria is a joke. This country will never move ahead if this how her citizens think. No one said u shouldn't speak ill of the dead, however let those who want to speak well of the man speak and those who want to speak ill do likewise, that u speak well of him doesn't make you any less a patriot, this also goes out to those people insulting everyone of being cowardly, in matters of death like every other issue people should act matured.insult or praise the man and save energy for other important issues |

naijaking1: ^^^^ The most appropriate question I have ever heard about Nigeria's development problems so far! Sharing the national cake 2 million barrels of oil a day amongst our population of 150 million is the reason why we're in this mess in the first place. For one thing, you will never make a sharing formular that will be acceptable to everybody, secondly, how do we even know that the 150 million number is accurate and not designed to maximize a regions share of the so-called cake? There're more questions about sharing the wealth. Very important observation, our stats are just quite unreliable KunleOshob: The real source of gwoth for any economy lies in productivity, i.e human resources. For us to develpoe w need to be much more productive than we currently are. Real wealth lies in productivity of the people. so many things have to be put in place for this to be achieved, i don't foresee us achieving this in the next 7-10 years with the kind of politics we play |

Brother, you have a problem on your hand, but everything has a solution, truth is if you cant afford the standard you've set, u had better prepare for a cheaper alternative unless you want a situation where your children would be playing video games during exams, I guess its too late for your wife to go to school but have you discussed the idea of setting up a small business she can run? Maybe food or small provisions stock? believe me it's not funny having a wife at home do nothing, an idle mind you know is the devil's workshop, besides what investments have you opened for her?
