Am I over reacting?
But my trip to Ikeja wouldn't take more than 30mins

Is it too much to ask just for the duration of my trip after which it will be removed cry cry cry

Man, overreacting is an understatement!
Haha, is it too much for you to endure a 30mins ride without diffuser
Don't tell me something bad will happen to you without it!!! EVEN JUST FOR 30mins.....

Anyways, new drivers can't register without it so once your 90 days grace is up, you will be forced to get it
I registered on bolt just about 4 weeks ago, only with driver's license and the normal vehicle papers.
To date, am yet to get any of the new documents; lasdr etc.

Good evening bosses, I want to take my Camry 2004 for inspection, the engine is making a funny noise that's because I ringed it like a week back..its not smoking but it's quite louder than a usual engine but the engine performance is great and the a.c works well too. Would I be able to pass inspection if I go

That should not be a problem.
Good Luck

CULPRIT: Power steering pump got hooked with the belt which made it impossible for the engine to roll and damaged the kick brush thereafter.
Got to Emeka's shop this morning and pump last price was 14k(Tokunbo).
I instead repaired my pump at 6k, the brush was 3k and kazeem+rewire collected 4k5.
I left there this afternoon and just headed home.
I cannot come and kill myself jare. Weekend is another starting point.
MODIFY: The power steering pump has been giving me signals for weeks but man just dey manage.

Abeg blackbishop your expertise is needed here. After working on my shaft and bearing today, I notice that my car dey dance on the road ọ. The tires dey drag for road too. The steering is not going straight again. I managed to drive it home this evening. I have called the mechanic that worked on it. But I'm even afraid to go back to him.
Please what could be the problem?

Your car needs wheel balancing and alignment.

@aunt radu; @gazzuzz, the bolded, copied from a site, best describes my ordeal:

the misfire is only at idle, under no load, and disappears when i press the gas pedal. So to keep the engine alive, l need to constantly keep throttling. However, to prevent this my mech has had to raise the rpm

Below is the solution the site proffered:
the most common issue on older cars is a vacuum leak (or dirty throttle body / idle air control valve). Best first step: clean the throttle body and IAC.

Your input is highly appreciated.

I am not a Mechanic, far from it.
But i experienced similar issue on my Camry 2006 last week; whenever i slow down or stops moving, the car will go off. At a time i had to speed up even where there's pot hole.
Upon trying out some simple stuffs I previously watched on Youtube, the leakage was discovered.
I was lucky, it was a short rubber hose connecting the cumbustion chamber to the air intake(pardon my lack of technical terms)
Na so i rush go buy the hose of 300 naira and 2 metal clips. The damaged hose was replaced by myself.

Am a Uber driver.
I will rather advice you to hold on for now as the biz is having issues; low fare, high cost of maintenance, Lagos poor raod, govt policy.
But some of these issues may be resolved any time soon.
Just visit the thread below. There's more than enough infotherein provided you cn read through patiently. Good luck bro.

Please send the pics to the app company. How can someone be so wicked and the rider will still tell you to put on the A.C.

P.S I have a new driver he can't seem to complete his bolt registration. Is the driver's badge, Lasdri, Lassra, compulsory for new drivers?

No sir, i registered on bolt just last week without of the new documents

The 1 Star ⭐️ rating one evil woman gave me yesterday just showed on my rating because she added stop and I told her I don’t wait.

Before the trip I already profiled the old lady as an extremist and a trouble maker with her fake accent. Picked her from somewhere around Onikan, I started the trip and saw mega plaza Idowu Martins, when I turned at Kofo Abayomi so I can link Idowu Martins from there, naso madam talk from back......

Madam: You’ll need to find somewhere comfortable to park because mega plaza is first stop, from there we’ll go to the bank before you take me to my house.

lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

Me: I don’t wait

Madam: What do you mean you don’t wait? Why didn’t you tell me before starting the trip so I could have canceled and requested for a more reasonable driver shocked , am I not paying for this rider? I have the privilege of three stops shocked

Me: You didn’t mention it to me before now that you’ll be making stops.

Madam: You are such a terrible person, your car is terrible...I knew I was going to regret stepping in to this car. You shouldn’t be working with this company. Nonsense

Me: **No words said** I just they drive go destination
I end trip, saw 500, 200 discount; total 700. Showed it to her, she said she needs to get her receipt before she can pay (in my mind ontop 500). I told she will only get it after I must have confirmed her payment and I can only do that when I get my money.

She paid, when she stepped out of the car she slammed my door so hard I was mad. I immediately got down with the mind to curse her out but a voice quickly told me to remain calm and just let it go.

F*cking riders! Always mad when that can’t have their way.

Many of them are very selfish.

I had a strange experience today. I brought fuel while on a trip this morning and to my suprise, my rider collected money for the six minutes spent therein.
She asked how much and i responded its just 60 naira; she exclaimed what( with that expression as in too small)
But lo&behold, she collected the 60 naira cash from me.
It is well o.

In the uber app under "earnings", what does it mean to have a negative balance?
Thats the amount you are owing Uber.
Since you have had more cash than card trips.

Pls do we have any moove drivers in here? Let's know if they are given preferential treatment "tripwise"

So far nobody has given a strong reason on why drivers shouldn't post their earnings undecided Is there something that I dont know off

I posted my dashboard, so I can get their reaction

It is only unfair to generalize occurence based on the report of just one personality.

Ok guys, make I share this one. Weeks ago I complained about my brake pulsating, that is, it was pushing back under my feet when I applied it. The ABS light came on. After going through the Internet, I read that dirty ABS sensor can cause it. So when I repaired my hubs last week, I asked my KAZEEM to help clean the sensors with just rag. After coupling, the wheels backs, the light disappeared and till now, no more brake pulsating. Everything working well now.
That's the power of the Internet!

"The Power of the internet" indeed have saved me some naira recently.
From changing of break pads to that of tie rod socket and hub.
Kazeem in the making, though my hands suffered for it sha but mission was accomplished.

Amen!! Thanks bros for your motivation and encouragement. God bless you real good.

I lie if I say car is my because there's no way I would have been able to raise money to get a car within the shortest time.

The person contacted me via this thread about 4days after my former partner collected his car and told me where to pick up the car, a 2010 Corolla. Every deal was done and sealed via email. Sent the keys via a UBER ride. I checked for his moniker on NL, registered since 2015 but hasn't made a single comment here on this thread. Doing a weekly rent of 15k to be review as times go on. No phone call, no guarantor, nothing.

Just when you thought you're the only good person left in the world God will always prove to you that there are a thousand more better than you.

The person even added a phone.

Its still like a dream to me I must say.

Thanks to all of my fans for the love.
Pls know I'm your No1 fan.

Am happy for you...whenever a wooden door was shut out on you, a golden one may be opened for you but pls brother dont abuse such rare kindness .
There are always lessons to learn in things that happen to/around us.
We only comes out a better person only when we accept our faults, take corrections and apply the +ve lessons.
IT IS VERY EASY FOR GOD TO MAKE YOU A CAR OWNER AGAIN!!!.....and this is my wish for you.
God bless our hustles
