I'm sick & tired of partners coming over here to fault drivers without revealing who these people really are . What's the point ?
I think with evidence, we can start dealing with issues like this . There are innocent people here whose opportunities have been dented by these ' so called reckless and dishonest drivers' .

And their characters has nothing to do with this forum. It is just a societal abnormalities. Getting a driver outside this forum does not guarantee their good characters. There are bad & good people in every society.

**CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY SNEAK PEEK**

I scratched my head wondering how best to show appreciation to NLers. I didn't want to give something that is quickly consumed. Based on what I see everyday it seems there is a real need for people to be able to do basic code reading to inform/assist their mechanics (and know when they are being had), if I'm to accomplish my goal of changing the auto repair industry in Nigeria.

All 12 of these will be given away in December. I am still thinking of a fun, fair way to accomplish that. Input will be appreciated.

As always, thank you NLers. We may squabble but at the end of the day it is all love cool

Bring it on.

Make una no vex o, as we dey Work from house and less busy na to dey comment on every post for here.
Na politics talk we dey now

Bros, wetin Tinubu don do for me or us in Lagos ? What did he do specially for Yoruba’s ?
1. Apart from Lagos island, other part of Lagos na poverty stricken with bad roads, bad everything. You can’t compare Lagos to any other state in Nigeria. Do you know how much revenue Lagos alone generates compare to the development we see?
2. He empowered touts to be oppressing us in form of lastma, cbd and road union. you will be begging one Ilitrate in uniform with 20k cos of Tinubu.
3. Which leader? Abeg no go there at all, is it Buhari dt is d major problem we have in Nigeria today? Any other person will do better than Buhari. In fact mentioning Buhari has tinubu achievement is enough reason for everyone to dislike him. You didn’t even mention
Fashola, Ambode, or osinbajo? Buhari

Abeg I no mean to derail thread but how can Buhari be achievement

I hates to discuss Nigeria & her politics because majority tend to be emotional rather than factual about issues arising
Let us always be factual in our postulations;
Abgeros have been in existence with their known signature even before the emergence of Tinubu.
How can the founder of a body be blamed for the personal misdeeds of its officials?; you mean the gigantic corruption of our politicians was caused by the founder of Democracy??
Hahaaa, NA WA OOOO.
Thousandths of graduates were being regularly employed by these Lagos state agencies.
Will you blame the apps companies for the bad behaviors of either the drivers or riders?? That's not objective thinking.
Our problems started even before Tinubu came to limelight of Nigerian politics.

Even on our ehailing platforms, when we tried to talk to the apps companies (on issues that affect us all) by way of strikes, majority of drivers refused to comply. Citing different excuses.
Even though our problems are very complicated it is not insurmountable.
" THE CONDITIONS OF A PEOPLE WILL REMAINED UNCHANGED UNTILL THEY(THE PEOPLE) FIRST CHANGED WHAT IS IN THEIR HEARTS"..

The trajectory of discussion has been minimised by your new narrative....the formal is something only one person can't loot or take control over....the new trajectory of 1000dollars in a wallet is something I can fold and throw inside my bag bearing in mind we are not discussing morals..

Gentlemen, Nigeria problems transcends a single man. Are you saying no any problem in Nigeria/Lagos prior to the coming of Buhari/Tinubu?
Our problems are more of collective actions&inactions of this society(us).
There's more i can say but........

We guys have to be extra ordinary careful when driving as Lagos state is really in need of revenue with the lost in this protest, especially lastma and Vio office burnt in different parts of the states, all there operational vehicles gone at ojodu.no more begging na tickets straight. let's be prepared.

I thinks on the contrary, the happenings should make them to be humbled. Fear suppose catch them, so it wont be their turn to taste the concoctions. At least for 2-3 weeks now, our roads should be free of road check points.

And that is not the kind of person Nigeria need as president to move forward.

GEJ is too soft, Buhari is too wicked, OBJ is devilish.......
Then what kind of president will make Nigeria works?......
DON'T BE SURPRISED SHOULD AN ANGEL BE BROUGHT FORWARD TO GOVERN NG WITH HER CURRENT SYSTEM HE WILL SURELY FAILED AS WELL.!!!!!!!!
There's a fundamental structural defect about our problems which connotes it was designed to fail. We cannot continue to use sane formula to solves an equation and expect a different solution thereafter.
My personal opinion though i could be wrong

Massive crowd are likely to turn up later in day. I have feelings that this protest might not really yield the desired result everyone is clamouring for. Nigerians thinks we are still in GEJ era. He listened and empathized with the masses. but the naked truth is that we are dealing with a former Military dictator who has shed a lot of blood to get back to power after he was overthrown in 1983 by IBB. He lacks human feeling and his mentality about this protest is that it's been sponsored by opposition. I do not see him compromising and complying with this EndSars protest demand from the youths. And if this protest continues, he might want to deploy the military to protest grounds. No one fuucks with the Soldiers, they are Blood thirsty and trigger happy.

I do not agree with that non compromising part.
Structural revolution is achievable with this kind of energy and participation
Nigeria will be great again

I don't blame some human beings in this life. The person I blame a little is God who keeps on creating "Very useless things" that leave their brain offline before coming online to type, tweet or comment.

I find it funny when people accuse Bolt drivers of taking riders to Sars officers. This is a blatant twist of truth.

What I find even more funnier is that same folks are advising same riders to take Uber or "others" instead of Bolt.

If I will ask, is it not same drivers that are on Uber are on Bolt too?

What changed?

You are extremely insensitive and out of line by blaming our one and only creator!!! HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!!
SO YOU ARE NOW THE ONE TO INSTRUCT GOD WHO & WHAT TO CREATE??

Thanks brother. Is there a specific way of booking for the training or simply booking an appointment as usual is sufficient and i tell them it is for training when I get there.

I want to avoid wasting time as those guys are somewhat haughty. I would like to use my break time within the next week.

Thanks

It is better you attends the morning training and your break time won't be enough because you will spend more than one hour there.
Make sure you go with your driver's license (original)
MODIFY: No need for booking, just get there around 8:30am, 1st training should commence around 9:00am...(not sure)

Nigeria is really messed up!
Though one cannot be careful enough but discretion many times saves ( if Allah wills).
I had one experience last year December. Was still a new driver on Uber then. Around 10pm, this request beeps and i accepted, called rider; said he's going to Lekki or Sangotedo area. In about 5mins, I arrived at PU(Ilaje in Bariga).
Two men and a woman came out with some light loads and was asked to oo3n my trunk.
But I alighted from the car before opening my boot in order to quickly peruse what they are putting in my trunk.
Hmn, i was a broom, wooden box for seating, cutlass and some other stuffs in a sack.
My heart beat immediately accelerated to about 250 counts per minute. I didn't outrightly cancel the trip cos the street self was so deserted.
So i started the trip and on getting to a third street which was still active, i switched off my engine and pretended there was a fault. I ended the trip there. They were somehow disturbed but do i care!!!
They moved away from me and I think they were making another request but me just zoom off.

I have driven exclusively on uber platform for almost a year and only two months thereabout on bolt.
I concurred the former is better in all ramifications except in aspect of trips availability i.e. no of app users(riders); Bolt is far ahead due to reasons known to almost all of us here!
In conclusion, the higher the number of riders, the shorter the wait time for next request, the higher the number of trips and therefore the higher the income at close of business.
