I wanted to refer to her boyfriend but I decided to give every focus on myself as the man of the moment. I decided to give relief a chance as I deliberately noticed her hair which I began to touch slowly, she was blushing and I could see it. I stopped her as we were getting to the front of the hostel and seriously looked directly in her face amidst the darkness. I used my long finger nails to mildly scratch all over her face and was saying, baby, I am not just any guy, a ni.g.ga like me is not common out there''. She was speechless and was also directly look into my face. Girls were passing incessantly and looking at us.
''Is it that you are finding it hard to face rejection?" she asked keenly.
''No, I am not. As a matter of fact if I talk to any random girl out there and she turns me down I'd just walk away, and would take it as fun, knowing fully well that nothing in me is touched... i know myself, but you my dear... are just different''. This is how it all goes. I saw this fine girl in school December at night, and I
asked a friend to call her for me from where we sat. The guy proceeded to call
her. She came and meet me and I talked to her maturely. She later asked me
to stroll her down to her hostel. We got to the front of the hostel and I gave
her my number which she flashed. Throughout December before I went for the
short Christmas break we scheduled several times to meet but none of us had
the chance. I sent her happy new year shoutout. I called her three days later
and we talked fine, she even agreed to my request for us to meet and talk.
To cut the long story short, after several postponement, we finally met tonight
at a boarding house in front of her hostel. Before I reached there she was
already calling that she is sitting a nd waiting for me. I went to school from
town only to see her. Mind u the very first night we talked she already told me
she has a guy. I sat close to her as we exchanged pleasantry. She was
coughing and I used that as a starting point of discussion, urging her to take
sum pills. I must confess that I was skeptical of meeting this girl to night due
to ''what-to-say problem''. After advising her to try cough relieving drugs, she
smiled and showed gratitude for my concern. I then tried as much as possible
to make the discussion flow naturally, without any awkwardness. I showered
her praise at appropriate times. She complained of feeling very cold, that she
came out cos doesn't want to disappoint me. I thanked her. I told her to tell
me about herself. She very briefly did. She then asked me why I sent someone
to call her that first day we met instead of me to have approach her myself,
saying she thought that is kind of old fashioned. I quickly said that after I told
the guy that I've been noticing her for some time, he decided to call her for
me. She coughed again and I patted her on her back softly. Note that before I
even sat down I have touched her in a very obvious manner and she acted
''somehow'', but after sometimes, the ''somehow'' reaction from her stopped.
She asked if I came to school this night just for her and I nodded. She smiled
and appreciated.
Noticing the way I talk, she asked if I have deficiency with speaking well, as in
the sense that is my tongue finding it difficult to move. I explained that the
reason was that my mouth was very dry due to the harmattan. She told me it
was not normal, that she doesn't feels her tongue is dry at all. I insisted the
condition is normal for me, and that she should not forget our body is
different. Since she is studying Chemistry, she began to explain why it is not
normal, why it is obstructing my attempt to be effortless at speaking fluently,
yada yada yadas. She advised me to seek for help, that if possible I should
ask Google before I sleep tonight. SHE was literally begging me to take
medication. I was just playing along, pretending I was taking her serious. She
also asked me a little stuff about myself. She then said she wanted to go
inside cos she was feeling very cold. She told me she can't ''escort'' me. I
nodded sheepishly in agreement.
''I like your cap'', she said.
''Thank you'', I said as I snapped the cap with my fingers. I asked if we could
go on a date, she reply by reminding me she is in a relationship. I protested
that it doesn't matter. She told me it would take some little moment. We
walked a bit to a place with so much light, and told me she was going back.
She asked me to greet that my friend and that I should sleep well,
''Byeeee'' she muttered in a girly voice
''Bye'', replied I enthusiastically,

more words from her. I went to park, picked a cab and went back to town
beginning to feel very bad. I began to wonder why didn't I even shake her

HMMMM! I called her yesterday my good people, and we fixed today for another ''date'' since we both have tests in our various faculties. I wore some high timbaland, just baff up all for her, u need to see me men, to the extent one unknown guy rushed to snapp me immediately I stepped down from the cab, hmmm, who knows what that guy purpose is?... To cut d long story short, around 7 o'clock I called her and she told me she was in Lagos hostel while I informed her I was already on my way to her hostel, where we met the last time. She replied that she was not going straight to her hostel when she leaves Lagos H, I told her that something is delaying me as well and so I can't make it until 8 o'clock. She agreed. I went to look for origin so I can boost my confidence but could only get Heineken around. I gulped all so i would be very high. I called her exactly 7:50 and she said she is almost there,that I should hurry cos she can't stand stand in that cold for long, and that she doesn't have credit to call me when I asked her to give me just one minute. I hurriedly went to buy tom tom so that my mouth would not be reeking of alcohol smell. I rushed there and called her, she appeared. I expected myself to be high already but for where? I wanted to hug her but i read her body. she requested that we go and sit down and we did. I was expecting myself to get high all of a sudden but nothing happened. I even lost what to say. she asked about my welfare, plus my ''tongue-tied'' stuff, she then commented that she also Google it. I desperately tried not to let that awkward silence set in. I asked her about the date I proposed and she said she doesn't have any interest in going out on date with me, I asked her the reason but she said ''nothing''. I then asked her to come to my house but she laughed a bit. in all, she was turning me down and afterward told me to give up hope on any date and that I should say something else.
