Business / Re: Cash Swap: Nigerians React Over CBN Fresh Deadline by omoyami: 10:17pm On Jan 29, 2023 |
What CBN ought to do was to print more of ₦100. The new currency policy states that the ₦1000 and ₦500 notes shall be the store of value. That new ₦200 and lower denominations should be loaded unto the ATMs. So, more of lower denominations should have been our alternatives while they mop up the old ₦1000 and ₦500 notes in the circulation. It's going to be difficult for politicians to store lower denominations because of the bulkiness. |

Car Talk / Re: Automatic Transmission And Gear Repairs In Nigeria by omoyami: 12:14am On Nov 06, 2022 |
I took my car (Honda Accord 1999) to mechanic shop for gearbox repair. The car engine rev higher than necessary when changing gear. It also jerk when shifting from low gear to higher one particularly when ascending a hill. He said it's fiber. When he loosen the box, he showed me two other iron that serves as pivot for the gears that they are weak, so I should change them. On completion, the gear couldn't shift into another gear. It will take parƙing or putting the car to a complete stop to accelerate again. So, I returned the car to him. He said he would change certain sensor. He later said it's the valve body that's weak and he doesn't have any for replacement. That I should be managing the car that way until I am able to buy new gearbox. Meanwhile he has packeɗ the fibre and other things he bought into the gearbox. Gurus in the house, what should I do? Gazzuzz, Dozieson, kingrein, nurey, and many other expert I couldn't remember their monicker, help me. |

The buttons for "Delete" and "Edit" appears but they are not responding. I have tried it severally both on phone and laptop, the same results - the buttons not responding. I then clicked "Resolved" since last week. My submission is still pending up till now. Whereas it take maximum of 3 days to get it reviewed and feed back before now. If there is anything I am missing, kindly tell me. |
Romance / Re: What Does She Mean By This? by omoyami: 4:08pm On Oct 02, 2021 |
Similar experience with me. I have this girl, very bright and lively. I proposed, she said we should be friends. I said, I can't be friend with you. I can only love you. She said she has someone. We were on it. She agreed to pay me a visit in my house, which she honoured. We hold hands, we hug and kissed. She left with the plan to visit at a later date. Till today, the "later date" has not come. She kept on with friendship mantra. I refused to accede to it. I stopped chatting her. I stopped putting calls through to her. I haven't visited her in her house before and I am not even interested in doing so yet. Lest I forget, she has never opened her mouth to ask me for a dime up till now. Whatever I give, is on my volition. She always refused but I encourage her to take it. The most confusing thing for me is that she checks on me in my shop at least twice a month. She checked on me up to 4 times in September alone. The last two times she came, she complained I didn't contact her. Up till now, I hold hands with her. With other things we can do in the public. She never objects. And I love this girl, I know I really am. But woman frustration is too expensive an article for me to maintain. I just dey look at her. |

Zabiboy: Mumu. They said toddlers full Nairaland I didn't believe, but now I do. Abeg go home go wash plate. The op need matured minds to advise him. The op is financially down, that is a given. Major thing he need to do is to work on his finance. There has never, according to op's account, been a record of the said wife's misdemeanor before pregnancy. He even confessed she was supportive both in the farm and the home front. When my wife was pregnant, she will eat okra soup this morning. If you want to wash the leftover away, she will said no but keep it for her she will eat it later. Believe me you, the okra will be there till second day when it started growing bacteria, that's when she would request for it. She would eat it with satisfaction. Same thing with akamu. And she is somebody who can't eat leftovers in her normal self o. Things pregnancy does to women, no be here. OP, that's the right way to be a man, real man. You have to be strong for her. Cook. You were eating before you married her. It's just 9months and you have endured 5 already. Don't die on the way like smoke. Except you want to remain single for ever, such things as your wife does will surface from another woman you will marry. As a bonus, expect sleepless night when she put to bed as she may be tired out some nights. So you have to be watchman singing lullabies for your cute bundle of joy all-night long, as newborn babies cry a lot in the night and sleep a lot in the day. At times it take the whole night and it doesn't mean the baby is not healthy. 1 Like |

Food / Re: What's That Worst Mistake You Ever Made While Cooking? by omoyami: 6:28pm On Apr 21, 2020 |
I was remembering this yesterday. While undergoing I.T. training in 2006, I wanted to cook roasted rice (rice + bean cooked together) and I didn't have salt. I went straight to Mama Kafaya room to collect her bottle of salt only to discover that I put detergent in my food when the boiling rice was foaming. I was a terrible experience that night, as I didn't have any other thing to eat and I haven't eaten anything since day break. I brought the rice and beans down from stove, washed and washed and manage to eat it that way. I thank God is has become a story of grass to grace. 11 Likes 1 Share |

thorpido: The bolded refer. Majority, if not all of them don't take advantage of hindsight. They only use you to recover their "had I known(s)" e.g. "had i known I would have made him include my first name and initial on the land papers instead of mr.&mrs.", "had I known I would have formalized my partnership in his business". They also have what I call "knowing what I know now" syndrome. And if you want to be unfortunate, she will have more than one child and they are above six years old. The frustration, if you don't run for your dear life, will send you to your grave too fast ahead of time. I have been there. |
Politics / Re: Malcolm Omirhobo Sues FG, CBN, AGF Over Arabic Inscription On Naira, Army Logo by omoyami: 11:06pm On Jan 10, 2020 |
Lukayly: The inscription is not Hausa. It is arabic. Why using arabic when we have official language? Why can't they include hebrew word for naira values on our currencies? I have been querrying, of recent, the rationale behind prayer (both christian and islamic way) during official gathering and in public schools. Even religious knowledge should be banned in schools. Anybody that need to learn about religion should attend schools establish by religious body. The bane of our national progress is primarily religion. We view the political landscape along religious binocular. If president is a christain, his vice must be muslim, even if he can't deliver. All I know is time is coming, barring breakup, and it may be causal for breakup, religion will be banned in Nigeria. |
