That is wat mucus plug looks like, it does not necessarily have to be accompanied with blood

i do remember that alphahandmaiden has discussed extensively on this issue with reference to witch hazel spray, sitz baths, etc. she might be able to provide more detailed suggestion on how to relieve the pain.

Sorry about the pain dearie. You birthed three days ago right? Be religious with your sitz bath but please do not sit in or over hot water as it may dissolve ur stitches and lead to a breakdown. With time, you will feel much better. Pele dear. Welcome to motherhood.

Nne, please get vitamin C.
White vitamin C. You have to. Take it 2 times daily - 2 tablets.

That place, are you sure water reaches there?
Make sure water is touching that place.

Use warm water, not hot water biko. then add savlon (NOT DETTOL - Dettol is mostly harsh for the skin there. Savlon is a milder antiseptic).
Add salt too, but not too much salt o. then sit inside the water. Just sit there.

I haven't heard of cefuroxine. But Augmentin as an antibiotic seems more effective.

That method of sitting on bucket and letting the smoke enter the hoohaa is not really okay, especially if you use dettol. It is better to that style when you want to combat infection, that is, if your wound has healed well.

Also, If you pee or poo, please make sure you rinse well.

What did they prescribe for you?
Have you been stressing yourself a lot?
How many months now?
Do you do sitz bath?
How do you do it?

It is just few days paracetamol, flaggl and cefuroxine

For my 1st son, I sat in hot water bowl mixed with salt and dettol. I first sit ontop and let the steam from the hotwater go up to the site, when the water seems to be getting warm, I then sit on it afterwhich I clean with a towel and I was healed in less than 5days. Before a week, I alrdy abandoned d hotwater steam cuz I was fine.
I did it every morning, afternoon and evening.

The Lord has delivered me of a bouncing baby boy this morning. He came around 5am weighing 3kg with tear. Bs later.

Baby is here to God alone be the glory.

I am new here,just registering...I am 5weeks and some days now. Went to the private hospital I use for pt and it was confirmed. Doctor prescribed folic acid which I have been taking for some days now. Thing is, I went yesterday hoping to register for antenatal classes but the woman in charge of registration advised I shldnt till the baby is fully established (say 12wks).
Pls all,what do you suggest? This is my first normal pregnancy,had an ectopic few months back which was evacuated.

Your doctor suppose to monitor you. maybe you talk to him and let him know your history. In the mean time be positive as this pregnancy has come to stay. You will carry to term.
