PoliticsRe: Ethnic Clashes In Ebonyi, Another Slaughter! by OneNaira6: 11:50pm On Jan 02, 2012
hugafella:
Ebonyi state is generally the most backward state in the south east. And the Ezza tribe are generally very backward, hot tempered and violent species. Ask anyone who has been to that state. It takes just five minutes of conversation with them to see how impossible they are. (this is true for many tribes in the state)
This is an evil thing to say about another Igbo group, no matter how dangerous, unigbo-like, whatever they may be they are still Igbo and deserved to be respected by other Igbo. Rather than other Igbo judging them, shouldn't we intervene and try and help them solve this problem? just a suggestion.

hugafella:
However, it will be interesting to note that many tribes in Ebonyi state do not speak Ibo. I mean ibos don't understand their language. For example, the Ntezi people have Benue ancestry, and speak an entirely different language than Ibo.
True

hugafella:
Finally, Mr. Bluetooth, you should grow up and stop seeing everything through the lens of Ibo/yoruba. I'm sure your parents brought you up with this mentality but you can learn to change. God bless.
Supported so true. A round of applause.

PoliticsRe: Stop Moaning... Petrol Is 326.21 Naira a litre in the UK! by OneNaira6: 11:26pm On Jan 02, 2012
The difference between Nigeria and UK is immense.

Sometimes I wonder do Nigerians aboard realize life aboard isn't the same as life in Nigeria. Nigerians back home are not as privileged as UK citizens neither are they making the same amount of money as Nigerian citizens neither are they as poor as your average Nigerian. That is biggest difference. A UK citizen can avoid the doubled gas price, a Nigerian citizen unfortunately cannot.

Bluetooth, check your first comment, obviously you started the clash. We have clashes everywhere in Nigeria. I think you should see the problem as land dispute. The way you addressed the problem is not good. You started the tribal/ethnic problem. happy new year all
Welcome to NL.  Some people are know for this: they start wahalla, then play the victim card when wahalla kicks off, na so e be.

Welcome oo!.
PoliticsRe: Ethnic Clashes In Ebonyi, Another Slaughter! by OneNaira6: 10:41am On Jan 01, 2012
I think the moderators does this on purpose.

Why is this on the front page?  Even if you wanted to spread the information about the clash, why not put the second thread talking about this clash but without the tribal online argument on the front page instead.

PoliticsRe: Why Have South-East Leaders Remained Silent About Boko Haram? by OneNaira6: 12:04am On Jan 01, 2012
emiye:
The above is the basic reality !

It is way easy to scream come back home, come back home, come back home ,,

If all screaming their igbo compatriots to come back are exposed to the boldened statement above, you will realise that it doesn't come easy as you are making it sound.

A typical igbo is resillient, and it is pure human nature to try to survive, What the igbo political leaders should be more focused about is developing the south east region to a comfortable and secure region that business can thrive, advocating for a sea port, e.t.c

With the risk of sounding heartless, less than 0.1% of igbos residing in the north has been killed
I'm starting to wonder is the northerner ignorance and stupidity, no offense, contagious or what. We blame it on their hatred of western education but after reading this I'm starting to suspect is it an airborne disease affecting everyone up north be it Igbo, Yoruba, Ijo, Hausa, Fulani, etc or what?

What makes you any different from an Igbo businessman in SE that you cannot for once try thriving like do back home even though they have a greater competition than where you reside.   That is if you are an Igbo; I'm suspecting you might not be.

What is comical, at least to me, is that the Igbo business in SE makes alot more money and thriving than those up North which renders a question Is it fear of competition that you all are risking your life for?

I know there is a saying back home at least my hometown that goes like this if you can't make it in Igboland, SS and can't make it in Lagos then your best option is up North where anyone, even a goat, can make it.  If you can't make it up North then you are useless and should stay up there.  I was aware of this saying but I never for once thought people took the last part of the saying to heart.

EzeUche:
It does not concern the South.

You do not see Southerners killing innocent people in the name of religion.

This is a Northern Nigeria problem that can be easily dealt with by dividing this nation.

For too long we in the South have allowed Northern nonsense/aggression and we are tired of it.
This and mikeansy reply I have to say is the best I've read so far.

This is a Northern Nigeria problem that can be easily dealt with by dividing this nation.
I agree with this whole-heartily, Dividing Nigeria is the best way to fix our problem.

The scream of "one Nigeria", Boko Haram is "Nigerian problem" is another level of ignorance.  Using Boko Haram and how our government handles it tells us Nigeria do not and have never cared of the safety of any Igbo or other south.

We have the Army roaming around SE in attempt to protect Northern against any potential retaliation despite having no threat witnessed on any Northerner in SE but yet the Igbo or any South targeted in North aren't protected despite having threat witnessed on them on daily basis by Boko Haram and the North.

This country is hell and I curse the day it was created

No, you are still logged in your tribal mode, you are so dishonest that you are not even willing to accept the fact what the rest of the world know as facts is real facts and from your view it's an insult.
SMH, unlike you dude I read articles about others beside my own.  I'm going to let you wallow in your ignorance to believe your bigotry is now a world bigotry.

So all the news stations and news papers reporting all the kidnapping stories were all insults and insulting ibo people?
There are tons articles of kidnapping occurring in Lagos and other SW regions.  I wonder if you bigotry blinds you sometimes.  SW is not immune to the Kidnapping occurrence happening in Nigeria as we speak and there are tons of articles to prove such.  That was and still is my point.

How do you even fight  or eliminate the menace called kidnapping when the people afflicted don't see it as anything but an insult to admit that their own people are the unfortunate recipient of kidnapping.
SMH. There are kidnapping in East and no Igbo or any other tribe would deny that but I find your post comical to say the least. Your backward has the exact thing you accuse others of but you are more concern of other people backward.  Of all the kidnapping that happened in Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti, etc that I've read about what have you guys done to fix it?

We both know your problem is tribal loyalty so stop the silly and dishonest charade.
I am loyal to Igbo no doubt about that.  My problem is I don't sugarcoat anything when concerning this Nigeria.  I see the mess on all side because I've seen article supporting the mess on all side. I don't pretend one thing happening at one side isn't happening in other area especially when there articles disproving such.  The only crime I can say that isn't widespread all over Nigeria is religious killing.

Or you just mean the people that are killing your people and kidnapping your school kids are not insulting you, it's the news and the messengers doing the insulting?
Seriously dude what is wrong with you?  Has your tribalism eating your entire brain or what? You have not read articles of the same occurrence in SW before.  Dude, do a google search sometime. See your backward

My sense of reasoning suxs, I are even worse than a day old baby.
Fixed and you got that right, your sense of reasoning sucks.  You are too blinded with your hatred to actually notice what is happening in your backyard.  SMH

CelebritiesRe: Ghanaian Actresses Are Hotter Than Nigerian Actresses by OneNaira6: 4:30pm On Dec 29, 2011
^^^^^You cannot force this Ghana actress are hotter than Nigerian actress assertion on us oh.  Haba, we have eyes too and we disagree with.  Nana Mcbrown is attractive and maybe better looking than some Nigerian actress but the others, not so much. I'm can't even understand what you see in Yvonne Nelson, she's okay looking but as for sexy, she's not even close to that.

Instead of all that rubbish, why not juts go ahead and say what I said wasn't facts? Also how that = Insult. Be a man and say just that.

And if you people want to go at it again, I'm game. Bring it on.
How many people have to say something before you get it.  It is not Fact but an insult and such insult or supposedly in your opinion "fact" occurs in SW as well thus your assertion reflect SW also hence irrelevant to the article or thread.

And if you people want to go at it again, I'm game. Bring it on.
SMH. It's like you are a child.

I know you have selective brains and sense of attention, but the quote below obviously has nothing to do with what you are talking about and your silly paranoia nonsense. You only see what other people post, but never what your people post. It's still called dishonesty.
I read it and I read what he replied to.  You calling an insult a FACT and pretending it is not an insult and he's insulting you back.  Shikena!!! Sometimes I wonder do you even put yourself in other people perspective to try to attest how your comments are viewed outside of your bigotry.  His first post prior to the one you quoted was an insult on the other hand.

I do not feel like you going back and forth with you on this again, all you are going to do is deny it anyway.

@ poster

I understand what you are saying though tone down on the tribalism. You have a good point though,  SE and SS provides what Nigeria use to survive, we all know that as Oil, gas, coal, etc thus the force to keep us in this "one Nigeria". If I can, I'll even cut out all those resources by myself and dash it to them as long as it guarantees a ticket out of Nigeria forever.
