Mscheww.  Ndi-Igbo wetin eeh? Enugu and Anambra are both progressive states.  What Enugu lacks, Anambra has and what Anambra lacks, Enugu has. Neither one is better than the other and its kind of silly una are fighting over this.  Are we not one? mscheww

Isn't a mall or something similar to walmart? I'm getting more of a walmart vibe

What goes around, comes back around. The people in the south let the muslims celebrate their religion festivals with peace in our region but they won't let us celebrate ours. Na lie, God will never let that happen.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria To Buy Electricity From Ghana - Can You Believe It? by OneNaira6: 11:29pm On Dec 18, 2011
Of course I believe it. Nigeria isn't improving, neither is it progressive while Ghana is the other way around. It's a shame actually especially knowing that Nigeria has more potential than Ghana.

Una no dey listen SMH. Of all I said na Ghana you come see?

Why do so many countries define themselves by their interactions with nigerians? huh
huh  undecided SMH. sad They do not define themselves by their interactions with Nigerians. Why would they? Nigerians have very little impact towards their life or country.  They define or judge Nigerians based on their interactions with Nigerians online and offline.

Abi o !!
Are there people that take nairaland ish serious? They must be unemployed and mentally slow cos if they get work and have the sanity to mingle with people then they can get their judgement from human interactions and not interactions from the web where anyone could be anyone,

for me this is an after work experience or if i am just idle, i definitely dont put NL at the top of my list,
Mscheww. I am not even going to bother to reply to una usual insults, I do not have time for it today but I'll bother to correct some stuff Nigerians appear to be slow about.  Una wan have fun abi? Even in the extent of creating misconception of una abi?  I interact with non-Nigerians more than I do with Nigerians especially Ghanaians.  Of all hatred or misconception they have about Nigeria be it Nigerians hate Ghana or their country of choice, Nigerians are racist, etc., Naira land is the place of their choice to support that misconception. I joined this forum disbelieving all the narration I heard about it. My hope was to use it against them anytime their misconception shows up, I’m not just talking about Ghanaians but all Africans and non-Africans I know and are friends with, whom have a dislike or better word distrust towards Nigerians, so far I haven’t found any thread or even a mention I can use to defend Nigerian when their misconception surfaces.  This is why Nigeria is the way it is and this is why so many Africans and non-Africans hate Nigeria and how Nigerians hate themselves among their group.  Where do you think all the Naija kids raised and brought up aboard learn about Nigeria and its group?  If a naija kid who was raised America, having very little interaction with Nigeria and Nigerians but desperately trying to learn about Nigeria or their group as a way to connect him or herself to Nigeria where do you think his or her first visit will be?  An online forum where Nigerians dey plenty.  If all he or she sees is constant bashing towards his or her group, what do you think him or her mindset will shape into about Nigeria and unrelated groups?  You might think this is fun but people judge you by their interaction with you online and offline if una no know this. People learn about you through online as well if una no know this. Go any other forum you do not see the same occurrence now do you unless it is a website made specifically of racism or any other discrimination category.  There were tons of Non-Nigerians on this forum in the beginning, where them dey now?  Them waka commot no be so?  The few wey dey, dem practice tribalism towards Nigerians out of provocation no be so? Psychology 101:  For a human to be tribalistic, racist, sexist, etc. online but yet neutral offline, it means that said person is a closet racist, tribalistic, sexist etc. in reality just too scared to practice their intention offline thus they decided to practice it in a safe environment where no one can judge them or aware of their intention. This is why Nigerian is the way it is because we are yet to learn the moral of life or we do understand but refuses to accept or practice it. Prior to my visit to Naira land I was warned against it by my friends, claiming it will create hatred or dislike and I can attest that their warning became a reality for a while. I've said am oh. Ekwanu eziokwu!!! hmm ge nti na ife kwuru.  I leave una for una fun continue having fun.  I can understand retaliating but fun?  Mscheww.

**I'm not just talking to you igbo boy but everyone else with similar belief such as jason, you, etc.

Shut it. If a crime is commented by someone, so why should not bring it out just because he is from your ethnic group ?

Most people are oblivious to ethnicity when crime is commented until people liek you show your ugly head.

Mumu pesin.
I laugh at you ignorance.  Most people are oblivious of ethnicity to crime?    I might be new to this site but it seems I know more about this forum than members whose being here more than I. Many of your own post destroys that statement completely but since yo pointed to me,  I'll focus on me.  I've only engaged on three threads focusing on crime, one of which was started by you (alj_harem) and I'll post the link for all to see
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=277947.msg9378641#msg9378641
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=739251.msg9395025#msg9395025
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=784773.msg9387489#msg9387489
As anyone with an eye can see noone was oblivious of ethnicity before I joined the conversation especially the third link ( that provides a whole painting on your ignorance) and everything I said I backed it up by facts.  I'll give you an assignment, If you can find more topic where I (one_naira) discussed about crimes in Nigeria and mentioned ethnicity apart from those three then post it.

In my opinion you are the biggest bigot found on this forum and I honestly do not understand why anyone takes you seriously.  You've displayed bigotry on daily basis on this site. You have multiple monikers pretending to be something you are not just to spread your hatred on Igbo people and when caught you deny it even when its obvious.  My friend out of the bigots on this website, you are the worst and it irritates me on how two-faced you are and this belief of yours that you are neutral despite your name appearing multiple times when asked whose the biggest tribalistic on this forum.  Take a look at the closet nwoke.   Even this thread on hand,  Point_B and Afameva offense was laughing at OPC and of course Afameva claim and somehow it turned into a bash Igbo thread rather than advising people to sheath their sword especially having no reason to draw it out, no of course you praised the attack on and when Point_B and afameva retaliated back, of course they become the culprits rather than victims.  The third link provided by above, the topic at hand was about an Igbo man opening a mall in South Africa, someone turned into Igbo are criminals thread, rather than advising the destroyer to stop, you praised him on and when Igbo started retaliating you saw something wrong with us pointing the crimes of Yoruba.  I do remember every single Ojukwu thread opened up  and all the insult Yoruba descended on there even when Igbo did not say anything about other Nigerian group,  and when they started defending themselves against their attack, you found something wrong with the Igbo retaliating.  Even the Eze of NL, I honestly did not understand why some Yoruba group insulted igbo in a playful topic and yet again you saw nothing wrong with that.  Just as how you accused Igbo of being the writers in moderghana despite having  no proof.  Of any non-Igbo that defend Igbo upon the attackers, either you insult them or accuse them of being Igbo. I can go on and on and on of your bigotry,  I can post links upon links of your bigotry but I need not to, someone watching you and your account replies from afar can see what you are without I exposing you.  As I’ve stated before I’ve being through this site as far back as I can and I’ve noticed majority of the Igbo you all accuse of bigotry began such crusade after witnessing the attack descended upon our group by your group.  Being blamed of any attack thread written about Yoruba even if the OP said he wasn’t Igbo.  I, myself, can attest to that.  Upon joining this forum, I was neutral about Yoruba after all I have very little experience with such group, my first ever reply was the beauty of South Eastern women but then I decided to branch out, let me recover what I came upon this website to do hence read topics, read replies and from what I read I got irritated and decided to revenge back and I’ve gladly accepted that as my mistake and I even said it upon that first reply to king.  Many more Igbo have re-narrated of having such encounter such as Eze_uche, Onlytruth, freewilly, arysexy, Blisslyfe, etc and many Igbo have left this site because of it.  All I know is this website opened my eyes about Nigerians and their groups.  I now know which nigerian group I can and cannot trust.  I do not have access to Nigerians on daily basis except online thus I thank Seun for opening this site,  It shows me to true color of people.  As they say you know who your true friends are by their discussion of you when you are not around.

eGuerrilla:
This is not a particularly difficult task if you are prepared to spend time trawling through earlier revisions of his web site: http://wayback.archive.org/web/*/http://www.emeagwali.com/

The simple truth is, Brother Philip was never awarded a PhD, and certainly does not hold a Professorship at any college
He was/is an exceptional brilliant scientist, and this is not in dispute. But it is also true to say he has displayed a penchant for stretching credulity or at the very least, allowing others to do so, on his behalf, over the years.

A friend of mine who authored a book on black inventors wrote to him ahead of publication, to verify facts concerning his public biography several years ago.
Did he see fit to issue any clarification on the points that have since maligned his otherwise scholarly reputation? No!
Just think about the number of similar opportunities not seized, to clear up erroneous assumptions which were later to take on a life form. . .

At a certain level, I actually do feel sorry for him.
Our quest for heroes often creates personality cults that eventually subsume the very object of affection, so I understand how he might also have missed some of the warning signs.
The internet was markedly different back in the 90s, that he possibly might not have foreseen the era of drive-by critics (detractors) who, for good or bad, leave no stone unturned.

Still, it needs to be said that posterity would probably have been less ambivalent in its appraisal if only he had he adopted a clearer road map  – motivational speaking and/or academia and/or author and/or poet – in earlier years.

Here is the question you need to ponder over: at what point are you prepared to call a spade a spade?
I went through that link from all pages highlighted.  It is basically the same thing repeated over and over again just in case you weren't aware of that but I need to ask what does that proof?  Everything written up there was either a quote from an article written about him by CNN, Time, FOX,  a history book, etc. or a speech on how Africa should improve itself, how is that emeagwali taking credit of something he has no factor in. Is Emegwali the founder of those media?  Is he a writer in any of that news media,  is he the writer f book highlighted in his blog so I dare to ask again where did he actually claim any of the accusation written upon him by bad belle Nigerians. The one I'm extremely interested in is the PHD accusation? Where is it? I'll wait for an answer.

My opinion on why Emeagwali haven't bothered to address accusation upon him is that I highly doubt he cares what Nigerians think of him. Despite this accusation circulating for years by self-proclaimed Nigerian scholars, no one else apart from this group have ever accused him of such hence why bother addressing such people, he grew up in Nigeria, he knows how Nigerians are and what drives Nigerians. As we can see, Nigerian has no saying in the scientific world after all Nigerians having pushing this fraud business for so many years now yet it hasn't penetrated the scientific world beliefs on emeagwali.  People still regard him as one of the founders of the internet, his name is still written in history books, he's still labeled as a black scientist and creator so why should he waste his time addressing irrelevant people?  If I'm him I'll repeat the exact same behavior as he's doing. I won't even bother addressing my accusers especially since everything written by my accusers cannot be backed up by facts,  I'll wait until relevant people start accusing me as well.

This is seriously sad. All this tribalism and hate. This past weekend, at a friend's party, her former boyfriend proposed to her right there in the club. Everywhere erupted. THE GUY IS IGBO AND HIS FIANCEE IS YORUBA. He's well to do, she's from a wealthy family. He's Christian, She's Muslim. But, her parents didn't see all of that. All they saw was a young man trying to take over the world on his own. They saw the ambition. They see the drive. They see the determination. And most of all, THEY SAW THE LOVE HE HAS FOR THEIR DAUGHTER. They did not see him as Igbo or Christian. Why can't y'all be the same? Why can't all you sick tribalists see people for what they are and not what you perceive them to be just because you have an unwarranted bias and unjustified assumptions about a whole ethnic group? I love to play neutral but the constant culprits ON THIS FORUM are surprisingly the ones that claim to be marginalized in that hell hole called Nigeria. Whats the point instigating people all the time then getting upset when they retaliate?

I don't get to hang around a lot of Nigerians and I thought joining this forum would at least help me get a sense of whats happening in a land I left as a child; you lot sicken me. Its so sad. The impression this gives me is that a certain group, even in real life, probably hates me "just because" . . . . they don't have a reason, they don't even know why. But, even though I know this is not true, thats the impression you warlords are brandishing up here. A man can come here with an open mind and leave the worst of bigots; thats the magical ability you ignorants have. My friend that introduced me to this forum pointed out a *few names to me and asked me to read their before/after posts. He's right; these people came in as neutrals and ended up sounding just like the tribalists just because they had to defend their race from the constant bashing they were receiving. They were pushed to the wall. When you push a goat to the wall it either scales it, or turns around and bites you. Don't be surprised if said goat even pulls out some Jet-Li moves and Kung-Fus your tribal ignorant as*s to the pavement.

Whats the point in trying to put others down through lies and misinformation when you have other very serious problems afflicting the country? The politicians don't see you as Igbo or Yoruba---until  they need your help in covering their thieving tracks. If you go through my posts you will see that I have even been attacked out of the blues by one of the usual Internet Ninjas. But me, get in an on-line battle with someone thats probably not eaten all day and is using his last penny to browse at an internet cafe? Nah, Mba, Tufiakwa, Olorun Maje, No way!!!!

This is pretty sad and if this is the hate that truly emanates from your hearts, then I can only shake my head and wonder about the future of that country.

P.S: *Ileke-Idi, Aigbofa, Chinenye, Ekt_Bear, Jason123 et al
GBAM!!!!! My friend it’s like you are narrating my mind. I've read as far back as I can trying to understand where it all went wrong on Naira land and what you said on the bolded speaks volume even I have been guilty of such in one or two threads.  Most of my friends are non-Nigerians, before joining this forum they warned me against it.  A South African once gave the same advice to Nigerians on this forum but rather than some individuals heeding his advice instead his country and his people were bashed.  Where is the South African now? He left this site.  A Ghanaian member once an open-minded person turned tribalistic to Nigerians all because of this forum. African-American and other African diaspora are bashed daily on this forum, sometimes I understand out of retaliation but most times it is not. Most of my non-Nigerians friends have a misconception that there are more bigots and racist in Nigerian than not and their only support of this misconception is this forum.  I used to defend Nigerians, I even joined this website hoping to change their misconception but it pains me to conclude they were right.  Shame.  It just shows you the image Nigerians are creating of themselves

What did Philip lie about ?

He has two Masters but doesn't hold a PhD.

He is not a professor, Dr, nor did he complete his thesis at University of Michigan.

He doesn't hold 41 patents and inventions. He only holds one and that is the website: emeagwali.com

His prize is a cheap student prize won in 1989 and should never be compared with the Nobel prize.

He was never nominated for a nobel prize, who would nominate a loser who has never in his life published a peer-reviewed article,

His claim on bringing 35 members of his family abroad is a lie.

He never fought in the Biafran army. He's a bloody liar.

People who quoted him never cited a second source, only culled information from his website.

Philip is a sick and deluded man. He needs mental help.
Just like many have asked and noone has yet responded. I'll add my own, can anyone please provide one link even several links where he claimed ANY of this. Once that is proven then you all win. Just one link of any of the accusation

My friends are right, NL must be a site for jobless ppl whether home or abroad. Instead of coming together to discuss like educated ppl its been degenerating daily into a tribal cursefest. Una no dey shame? Day in day out its okoro this, aboki that, ofeman one thing or the other. My colleague took a look at this page and swore that the ppl here must be cursed with low class mentality. If you all don't know this nonsense will affect you in your real lives if you are all not careful. Dumbazzes
I agree. It is an everyday show in NL. Even this thread I do not even understand how it got to this extent. This turned into an Igbo vs.Yoruba thread all because Igbo were laughing at the display of OPC march in lagos and of course afameva claim of what he claimed GEJ said about igbo being the only nigerian group to practice one nigerian and automatically some ppl are bitching that igbo bashing yoruba hence retaliating despite having nothing to retaliate about.  SMH.  Some people have time,  I do not get why point_B, afameva and igboboy are engaging in this argument.  They should just focus on the topic at hand and ignore the bigots in my opinion.
PoliticsRe: How Philip Emeagwali Lied His Way To Fame by OneNaira6: 11:25am On Dec 13, 2011
SMH.  sad This is why Nigeria is a backward country and will always remain a backward country. We try so hard to put down others without any credible evidence. Someone can write an article claiming so and so happened and automatically it's a fact in the eyes of Nigerians even with or without proof. I've read throughout this entire thread from page 1 to page 22 and from observation of all that was accused of Emeagwali, when asked to provide proof where he claimed everything accused of him, not one single person has done so.  SMH.  What I found odd about all this accusation of Emeagwali is that he's only accusers are NIGERIANS even all the articles posted by superman, all were from Nigerians.  The saddest dilemma about all this is every accusation on him cannot be backed up by facts including the article claiming exon mobile removed Emeagwali from their list.  That is about the only article that can be used as credibility of his fraud yet when I went Googling of maybe another non-nigerian source what I noticed is no one else apart from Nigerians claimed such thing including exon mobile itself.  Not one non-Nigerian has accused him of fraud and it’s a pity what I'm reading today.  Nigeria will never change and that is why this country is the way it is today.  Some deny it’s tribalism but if you look at the names of his accusers and the article authors that paint a whole picture for the entire world to see.   Anyway, bad belles can continue hating, it is not affecting his income and the rest of the world is praising him so hey, I do not think he cares what Nigerians think about him if so he would have defended himself against the self-proclaimed Nigerian scholars.  The entire world is still behind him so continue with the bad belle.  It is just a shame, for years oyinbos have down putted the black community especially African community for having no hand in the development of the world and when we do get one they actually support, Nigerians, I wouldn’t even say blacks, neither will I say Africans they have no hand in this but Nigerians will try so hard to discredit a man whose brought nothing but pride to the black community all because he’s from a specific tribe.  Tufiakwa.   After reading eziachi reply, I recently learned there were more Nigerian scientists and doctors that developed vaccines, etc but yet nigerians labeled them as fraud depsite the rest of the world thinking otherwise. Shame!!!! cry we talk about Achebe and Soyinka.  Achebe and Soyinka wrote books, not even academic books but fictional book and in my opinion books has no factor in human development unless it is an academic book while science on the other hand does.  In my opinion emeagwali is better representation than both Achebe and Soyinka until this accusation upon him is proven, he still remains what many have called him and that is “one of the founders of the internet”.  Tufiakwa for Nigerians ohh.  As they say the enemy of a black man is other black men.  SMH
