Beckyhopeful: Pls someone should respond to me pls.Good morning fam - I just received an email from CIC to complete a schedule A form. I'm wondering why I have been asked to complete this......, is this normal? Or something to worry about? They have given 7 days to complete this. Please anyone who has completed a schedule A form should help answer the following questions - do I have to print the form out, fill it by hand, sign it and then scan it to them via my CIC account? Or am I meant to fill it out electronically? Yes you can fill it electronically, If I may ask, where you ever refused a visa and did you state it in your application? |

Hey People,
On the issue of Schedule A, I will like chip in something, as I also submitted upfront because my madam was once rejected a yankee visa.
Riding on the snaps sent by @optionese earlier, notice that the two questions clearly asked if you have been refused a visa somewhere in the question, in which case a YES will suffice for both questions.
However, a Schedule A, distinguishes between the two questions by making 1 just about visa refusal (6d) while the 2nd is clearly about refused admission at POE or ordered to leave (6e)...so you get the chance to say Yes and No in this case as the questions are clearly now different.
I hope this helps.
Gracias

Once upon a time this thread was at 200 and it will take ages for even 1 page to be added. People were down on morale and the Ancestors kept encouraging everyone not to give up. But now the thread adds 6-7pages on the average daily (I am finding it hard to keep up). This ministry is moving to the permanent site soon and very soon.
Thanks to everyone coming back to share their timeline, its refreshing and also giving those of us in waiting more hope.
Thanks y'all |

Afamdi12: Please house, can someome confirm that treasury bills is accepted for POF? If yes, why do people still do fixed deposit when they know they will get better returns from Treasury bills. Please answers needed
Secondly, someone printed her bank statement, submitted and withdrew the money dats after. Because according to her, banks don't gve CIC exact amount in ur acc, they only confirm to CIC its ur acc and that indeed you had that amount of money on that said date. Said her friend did that n got PR. Bankers and experienced fam members in the house, please kindly confirm this. Treasury Bills is as okay as FD, I used TBills as part of my POF...I understand your concern about returns, but i believe people are concerned with what has been working and more popular which is FD. As per your second question, Yes your bank will confirm the authenticity of your statement if CC request for it...but they will never confirm your current balance beyond what you supplied CIC (i doubt the CIC will even ask for your current balance)...However, CIC can call for your updated POF at any point during the process...which is where you will enter 1chance. Ditto for @bigbroda |

oddysey: Hello good people of Nigeria and beyond. Please I have a question.
I plan to do the medical checks on Friday and the hospital said CIC wil get the result in about 10 days time. The challenge is that I don't want to submit the eAPR until mid July because of POF.
So, is it a problem if CIC gets our medical result before I submit the eAPR at all or must we submit all our documents before the medical result gets to them?
Kindly assist anyone please. No it is not a problem...However, why would you want to do your medicals in May, when you intend submitting your app in July...It is generally advised that because your Medical is valid for 1year and your Visa will be issued to expire at the expiry date of your medicals (or passport whichever is closer), always do your medical last or as close as possible to your submission date. |

Boss13: Hi guys, nice job you are doing.
I'm excepting ITA. My score is 453 and I'm gradually gathering my documents. In order not to make any mistake. I wish to ask the following questions
- Do the primary applicant submit birth certificate? My birth certificate is really old
- What documents do I need for the Medicals
- What address do I stipulate for my previous employers in view of my reference
- What are the other requirements and documents to gather in order to submit
- How long will the process take and is there a way to request that my application be process in London because I read London is faster
- My wife was initially denied US Visa but later given, do I need to state that when applying
Thanks in anticipation You obviously have not done any homework...Read page 0 to 50 only, half of your concerns have been addressed. As for this question 1, you do not need your birth certificate, only your kids will need (assuming you have kids)...other questions read the thread, pretend its a novel. |

damidamsel: Hi.......pls i read somewhere on here about filling a schedule A form if you ticked that you had previously been refused visa. Is this true as it wasn't one of the documents requested? If so where do we add this document?
Thanks Well, I submitted the Schedule A in advance too...its said that you will be requested to submit it later in the process, once you have answered Yes to any of those statutory questions. So why not just submit it under your LOE bar and save yourself sometime. |

obitee69: Pls i just got married and my wife's passport is in her maiden name which will soon expire by july. We are putting in for ielts. Pls should she renew in her maiden name and we back it up with marraige documents? Cos i heard change of name is a very long process and it requires you going to abuja and waiting for more than one month. Its also costly too Both @bbaby84 and @Dammiehair were spot on. However, If you guys wanna change the name. It has now been decentralized, you can go do it at Ikoyi...it takes abit longer than the regular passports and cost more, but you don't have to go to Abuja. My wife did same cause we were in a similar situation as you are and panicked only to find out later its no biggie once documents are in place to prove the marriage. |
