D@s probly what u saw, avocado pears. Just open up, spoon out the content, mash it up, apply, rinse after some minutes. 17 months! Wow! I relax my hair twice a year, wish I could leave it longer :-( I jst decided to stay away from weaves for a while and pay more attention to my hair. It's about time lol! |
December? D@s odd cos I even spotted some today! Check the markets as well. D@ must have given great results @ sheabutter + eggs. Do u know?of late I'v been toying with the idea of going natural.....havnt made my mind up yet. Well, I may or may not go au naturel, but I'm liking the fact that women of colour in different parts of the world are trying it out. |
Ur absolutely ryt feryntorlah, eggs are awesome for protein treatments. Avocado as well. |
Pls do,u won't regret it. If however black tea makes ur hair hard, then u can switch to green tea. Ald best! |
Yeah, breakage is caused by a number of things including improper hair care and nutrition n even stress.weigth loss n dieting but shedding/breakage is something we all experience and have to remedy. On the average women could loose 50-100 hairs daily Tea rinses are a sure treatment/remedy. Try it out. You could still get a trim to eliminate split ends. |
Coconut oil is great for hair wet or dry, and doesn't have side effects, what you should be using to stop breakage is doing tea rinses. Ppl use tea or coffee but tea is better I.e green or black tea. Boil some water like 2 or 3 glasses, put in about 4 teabags and brew. Allow to cool, and rinse uR hair by pouring and repouring(u could use a pitcher or jug to catch the tea). Wear a shower cap and leave on for 45mins to an hour DO NOT GO UNDER A DRYER! Jst do ur regular biz around d house. When time elapses, rinse off, moisturize. Constant heat aint gud fr hair n air drying is normally better so u cld try air drying some times. Tea rinses stop breakage perfectly. Ps- u don't have to wash off coconut oil frm ur hair. When u apply, leave it in. Other oils to try are castor oil and olive oil. They do wonders and don't exclude shea butter (ori). U could even put ur ori in a plastic bottle n place in a bowl of hot water so it melts, and u apply as oil. |
He also created statues of Kate n William's unborn baby as well as Kimye's! Kimye's the one without the crown

She's never been one to shy away from showing her body. But an LA artist's new creation may be a step too far for even fame-hungry Kim Kardashian. The pregnant reality star's nude form has been preserved in all it's glory by celebrity artist Daniel......

@twingirls u could still join in if you want to, it's only a matter of posting photos of you dress at chosen intervals and of course the finished work. I'm not yet done with mine as I took a trip and hope to do so when I return. O! N u welcome here! @jada nice, n u still owing us a clearer pic for us to drool over ![]() |
EFOSA VAL: Ok, another way to go about this is to not cut out the underlining the same legnth as the under skirt area, this way you dont need to garther the under lining as you would on the waist line of the underskirt ,thus you would reduce the volume on the finnished outfit.Normally, underlining shouldn't be cut same length as the actual garment. And for Jada not to apply gathers at all, she would only have to cut her underlining in an a-line silhouette or flare. If she however wants to cut her underlining 'straight' she would hav to make some scanty pleats or gathers on it for it to seat well. |
Cool! N don't forget to post those photos when u rock urs, I plan to compile some participant photos and post. I love ur dress! |
@ jadareese- underlining alone can't make ur dress bulky especially as this dress requires a full skirt. though the photo isn't clear enuff to really c, I'l say take it in @ the sides to reduce bulk, and iron out. Iron out your main dress and underlining from top to bottom. If u havnt got a steam iron, always sprinkle water and then iron. The difference is very noticeable |
And this..
|
@efosa nice work! @jadareese- can't wait to see and why on earth would anyone laugh? Me...been so busy with work and havnt finished mine. However,I'm uploading some wrap dresses I made in the past, the last two were made far back in 2008 I should do my sew-along post by next weekend hopefully!
|
yes u'r right. but add seam allowance i.e 1'' or even 1.5'' n f0r d frnt,u'l have 14'' f0r each piece (i calculated with 1'' seam all0wance) |
No dear- seeing d@ ts a wrap dress, make a wrap allowance in front with 4''. So you place ur back piece on d 4'' mark I.e 4'' frm the center of ur front piece. Pls try to edit ur pics by resizing so dey become smaller for u to upload. Wld like to have a look |
@favour- it dpends on what u refer to 'normal'...use cotton linning(not Poplin). Silk linning is heat inducing... |
@girlsupersonic- u tried! It looks nice. I think u posted on d wrong thread :-) it looks like d sew along dress so u might want t post it here : www.nairaland.com/1273492/sew-along-thread-tailors-fashion |
