God bless you Doyin. I grew up in Ogun State. I spent all of my childhood days in your state, and I learnt quite a lot from the Egbas and Ijebus in your state.

I can authoritatively tell you that 90% of the gas that will feed Olokola will come from the Niger Delta. I have the facts and figures, but I'm afraid I cannot share it with you.

Ehn, Doyin, please forgive me. I don't like violence of any sort. And if you have been following my entries on this thread, yourself and Laudate will agree with me that I meant no harm to anyone or tribe.

I just put things down the way I see it. But some fools here are hell bent on making us deviate from the main crux of this thread. I have tried (Laudate is my main witness) to calm frayed nerves and redirect our energy to something meaningful without success and even Mazi Ugwumba, whom I have great regard and respect for left us to continue wallowing in the hate that now permeates this thread.

Some people think they can attack my person and get away with it. People like the illiterates (Babyosisi, Xris74) and others before them. I just want to give them a piece of my mind before I refrain from contributing any further on the thread.

But I observe that I can have a meaningful discussion with you, Laudate and others. Maybe I should just hang around a bit longer to hear what you have to say.

Omg,

Now,  this Ono guy is a confirmed ignoramus. Hello Nairaland users, just type in uptenth (time) in google

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=uptenth+time&btnG=Search

and see how the word is used. Uptenth is one of the words beyond Ono's shallow comprehension. I am aware there is a word as umpteenth (time), but as a big boy in English Language and Ono's English teacher (lol), I am at liberty to decide which between the two words to use. The English language is evolving, such that the latest edition of the Webstar dictionary (best in the world, IMHO) has new English vocabularies. Pity, Ono knows nothing order than oil.

In any case, Ono, there is a difference between spelling errors and outright ignorance. And, the worst is failure to accept your mistakes when corrected. It is only a fool who does not know that he does not know
Only a recalcitrant fool will go very far to prove how foolish he is.

That link you have up there has further exposed where you went wrong, my friend! But I believe that you must have looked up that word (a typical mechanic village word) of yours in a dictionary by now and noticed that it's not there. Only a fool like yourself will google up a word and believe the meaning should be in there! Slimy retard! Olodo rapata, oju eja lo mo nje.

Google only helped to expose your type in other fora in the link provided. And even when grafikdon left you in your sinking boat, to cruise in a better ship, you still could not get the drift of his statement. What an interesting world we find ourselves in!

See, when elders are talking, you little children should just sit quietly somewhere and listen, learn and benefit.

Willywilly and babyosisi I should remind you, Uwazuruike is still in detention, while Asari is cruising at a higher altitude. Watch your tongue.

For the uptenth time, let me drum it into your oil-blocked head that in the context of your phrase:
This is the result of getting exposed to Mechanic Village Grammar School at an early age. If indeed you truly made an A1 in English Language, how is it that you cannot spell umpteenth correctly?

I have checked my dictionary for the meaning of the word in bold - uptenth, it wasn't there! I also checked the online dictionary posted in my last entry, it wasn't there. I concluded it must be a Mechanic Village Grammar School word! How did you get your A1 in English Language?

I'm sure your elder brothers wrote your WAEC for you.

So, what I will do is to report your case to WAEC, so that they can withdraw that your certificate.

I think majority of the guys on this post who are niger deltans are the ones who are looking at the problem and proferring the wrong solutions.

Blowing up, kiddnapping etc how does that stop whatever injustice you think might have been done to the niger deltan?

Infact the federal states has help the niger deltan. State government and governors having allocation sent to private accounts and not look after their own people. Someone like Alam being given hero welcome by niger deltans after having stolen the monies that belong to Niger deltans.

The whole of the Nigeria as a country need re -edeucation and re oreintaion especially the niger deltan people. If oil was in Zamfara or Tarba or wherever and we are one country, the whole country should benefit from it.

Oil, gold etc are natural resources given by GOd in his infinite mercies, the fact that leadership both at the federal, state and local govt are misappopriating the monies is another matter.

It makes perfect strategic sense not to site production unit from souce as both will not be buried together where there any problem in the future.

If again tommorow Oil were to go completely dry in Niger delta, would the niger delta expect fundind from the federaton account or not or Oil from Ondo state etc.

Bombing, kidnapping in my own humble opinion is not part of the solution and counter productive.

The first part of the soultion is to hold the niger deltans governors and local govt chairman accountable for the allocation they get now and there may be enough facility and job that even if no further income or even no more oil in niger delta, the people there will have more than enough.

Nigeria has a wider issue to address, now that niger delta has VP that is an avenue to lobby and get projects with guarrantee of no violence.

If govt will not site companies or business in the niger delta, the behaviour of the militant will not encourage home grown or foreign based business to site their business in the niger delta as well.

Anger and threat of violence just play into the hands of people who think the problems of niger delta is home grown and from the evidence so far they may just be right.

MEND or any other organisation representing Niger delta should put up credible propostion now that there is a new govt who is equally looking to meet Niger delta and resolve a Man made crises.

May GOd bless all our brothers in the Niger delta and the country as a whole.
Viga,
Don't be scared. I will do no such thing my friend. I'm for the good of all. But I will like to see the FG moving swiftly to complete the Brass project before that of Olokola. Until then, even if I do not blow up the pipes, I'm sure disgruntle elements in my place will do the dirty job.

What as nice idea. Yes ono go and blow up the gas pipeline when it is at maximum capacity filled with gas it'd be fun to watch on NTA.

And record breaking too. I expect two million charred bodies because gas explosions follow to the very source: the communities from which they are extracted. I'm loving this and eagerly dying in anticipation.

There's no point arguing with dafts, or else you might be mistaken for one yourself. But, on a second thought, I felt I should still press ahead and explain, for the benefit of other people reading this.

''Knows'' exists for real as a verb - and it's not the plural form for ''know''. My people, please don't be misguided o!

And also, ''know'' can be used as a noun, verb and in idiomatic expressions as in ''in the know''

ref. these sites:http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/knows; http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/know

Now, some grammar:

''those'' in ''those who knows'' was used as a singular subject in this case, and the rules of syntax simply requires one to use a singular verb for agreement. ''Knows'' in that phrase is a singular verb.

It's just like saying Everybody know Mr Jones, when the right statement should read:

Everybody knows Mr Jones

And the daft Xris74 feels that since Babyosisi did her bit to correct what she doesn't know, I should take her correction hook line and sinker. What a retard, recalcitrant idiot I'm dealing with!

I heard over the news this morning that some arrested kidnappers in the Niger Delta will be paraded soon in Portharcourt. The IGP Okiro said a lot of these people are from other states, and not the Niger Delta.

Very soon, the truth shall be revealed to all.

Ono

Yours is satisfaction in half-measures. For every one ND like you posted up there, there are 100 Igbos and Yorubas doing their thing even outside Nigeria. In the matter of education and personal (not oil-dependent) achievemennts, you can bluff for the North and the disparate sub-tribes of the N Delta not to the Igbo and Yoruba. If oil is so important to you, it is not to me and millions of Igbos and Yorubas who have developed themselves educationally and professionally(I am a proud member of these self-developed individuals) by means other than oil, that accursed resource that has reduced Nigeria, and the so-called owners (like you) to a beggarly sitiation.

Take a look at the JAMB statistics, for a start, then we can talk of those outside of Nigeria. Ok?
All these your rantings will not stop my boys from blowing up any pipeline carrying gas from our lands to an enclave called Olokola. I will personally spearhead the mission to blow up that pipe. As a matter of fact, and in order to make a huge devastation to that project, we will wait until the first volume of gas is piped to that place. Then we will strike.

No one is challenging the fact that a lot (that means not all sha) your people are enlightened or that you're doing well out there. But do you think I give a phuck about that?

What could be more painful than watching your resources used up to better the lot of other people in other areas while you're alive. Dammed silly asses parade themselves saying they are in a democracy. They reason like idiots siting a huge plant in a remote location different to where the resources that would feed the plant and they come here preaching some useless kinds of education about their people. Dammed illiterates.

Which institution of learning did the writer of this gibberish (in bold) attend? It is know and not knows. And, to imagine he even thinks he is correct. Panla head. grin
Xris74:
Please crude oil, refined petroleum, natural gas (ati bebe lo), dry up fast so that those of us who have developed ourselves without a dime from the cursed oil resources will find our levels (even water has its level, as they say). What a cursed people with a contorted sense of logic.
Xris74,
Ok, let's do a bit of analysing that phrase in the context that I have used it up there:

The full statement is: ''If you don't know the right spelling of pia mater, why don't you ask those who knows?''

Now, ''knows'' here is used as an intransitive verb meaning: To possess knowledge, understanding, or information on something

So, for discerning minds, and those who are not blockheads, they will quickly understand that my ''knows'' up there refers to those who know the right spelling for pia mater, as opposed to the wrong spelling previously doled out.

So, you Xris74 and your likes should be asked where you spent the first 16 years of your life. I believe it must have been in a mechanic workshop somewhere at Oshodi.

And on crude oil, it's obvious that you do not understand the natural processes inherent in the formation, migration and trapping of hydrocarbons (crude oil and gas). I will not waste my time trying to enlighten you on this. But I'll let you know that wishful thinking cannot change what's here to stay.

I need all the links to these so called Ibori assets. I for once believe that the EFCCs wings should be clipped - if not roasted and fed to the dogs

If the EFCC cannot bring OBJ to book, cannot bring IBB to book and cannot prosecute previous looters of our treasury, the treasury that was filled with the proceeds of sales of crude oil from Ibori's village and state, then to hell with this monster called EFCC.

I trust Umoru would not dare try anything stupid. He's got to clip the wings of that upstart called Ribadu. Nonsense.

@Seun,
Dr. Iyorchia Ayu was named in that write up as being charged for ''terrorism''. This sounds rather false though, going by the manner of person and reputation Dr Ayu has garnered to himself over the years. But people change. And I will not doubt too much his involvement in some of these shameful acts in order to score some cheap political points against his opponents.

Now, do you think it's only the Ayus of this world that are into this? Jonathan did not mention some names, apparently because their names will generate uproars in some quarters.
PoliticsRe: Niger Delta Violence Sponsored By External Forces by ono(op): 2:05pm On Aug 01, 2007
@TayoD,
Yes. It's true that the two (militancy and their sponsors) are not independent of each other. But you must understand that it's poverty, illiteracy, neglect by successive administrations and utter degradation of the ecosystem of the area that's the manure on which these destrcutive actions of these youths thrive on. I will not blink an eye if the sponsors are from the Delta area only.  But now, we have the high and mighty capitalizing on the chaotic situation in the area to step up the spate of violence there.

My question: What do they stand to achieve by fomenting trouble in the area?

Although much of that link is related to public asset declaration on the part of the VP, however, it's imperative to note some of the statements credited to the VP on militancy in the Delta. It's obvious that there are external forces militating against the progress of the people of the Niger Delta.

Personally, I have been very much disturbed about the spate of attacks on people and facilities in the area, vis a vis the developmental efforts of both the present and past administrations. But now, I know the truth, and it won't be long before this will clearly be revealed to everyone. But, I wonder what mischief makers stand to gain by fomenting trouble in the area.

If you're looking for one who will console you and your ilk, you won't get that from me and I think you need to get that your brain examined by a psychiatrist or a neurosurgeon - and the earlier you do that the better for your type.

Don't you think you are exaggerating? sad I have read a lot of Ono's posts, and I haven't seen anywhere, he has made any remark calling for the annihilation of the Igbo. But then, I stand to be corrected. I do not always agree with his comments, but I don't see the need to attack his person, in order to get him to have a change of heart.

You (along with a few others on this thread), have often called him all kinds of unflattering names, so it is only to be expected that he would retaliate in anger.

He has a lot of views which differ from the mainstream perspective, held by many folks from the South-east. I guess we can't all have an identical opinion on every issue. So if he has a contrary view, then one can only try to educate him on areas where his opinions are wrong. Name-calling and vicious attacks won't do much, in this instance.
Up until the time I read this, I had almost given up on this discourse. And when I read your response to Richyblacks write up before this, I just wonder why he joined ranks with people like Kanto and babyosisi to attack my person. Can't we dicuss issues without resorting to viscious attacks on person and talk like matured people?
