I quite agree with Pete Edochie but calling those who do fools. Makes it clear his opinion is largely subjective and myopic! |

THE THREE COMMANDMENTS OF CHRISTMAS: 1. If you can't afford NEW CLOTHES, wear the ones you already have. It's JESUS' birthday and not yours. You mustn't 'out dress' the celebrant. 2. If you can't afford the kind of FOOD you want, eat what you have and move on. If you don't tell people what you ate, no one knows. 'belle no get show glass'. 3. If you don't have the means to TRAVEL, stay where you are. JESUS wasn't born in your village afterall. And your village isn't the appointed place for His birthday celebration either. Any villager who is desperately bent on seeing you, should come look for you where you are. Of all the things he said, "Do in remembrance of me", CHRISTMAS wasn't one of them. Take life easy and don't stress yourself. Just my advice |

ugonna1054:Do you even know how they calculate CGPA ? Or you think you can wake up one morning to get first class. And meant upper not lower! |

Capital NO. I started with 3.71 now and ending with 3.58 My department don't have first class for the past ten years though. Just try your best and go out with upper division. |

Around after nine yesterday pm, 12/12/! i was passing through the school, I decided to take the small gate close to the staff quarters. Approaching the gate, I saw people running and jumping the school fence as if they were being chased by lion or something. At the moment fear gripped me, and ran through the gate, breathing like i loss one of liver. I stopped and began to walk, at this moment i was calm and relaxed After one minute walk, I saw msome police men with guns in front of me. I was wearing a armless polo, and a jeans trouser with my phones in my hands. One of the police men asked me where was i was coming from, i said I'm coming from the school and another said arrest him is one of them. And two others grabbed me at my waist, holding my belt and jeans. One lifted a wood wanting to hit my legs when a shouted am a student. One of my phones fell and the police officer picked it. They asked again what were you doing in school ? i said "I was passing through the school, that went to eat at the resturant" With a loud voice, Why did you didn't you pass through the main road ? The officer asked I said, because of the dust, that the road is dusty! He said; is a lie, that am one the bad boys that they were pursing. He asked me to give him my other phone which l did, where is your ID ? another question, isn't here l replied. Where do you live ? I answered. We are taking you to the station, do you smoke ? Me: no sir (pointing his torch into my eyes) by this time some people have gathered. An elderly man came with crutches and began to beg them, that they should let me go, that am a student (speaking Hausa). They told me to empty my pockets which i did, just 150 naira and my house key, with my two phones with the Officer that was with me. One of them smelled my hands but couldn't find a trace of what they were looking for. I went to eat at a close by resturant, as i normally do whatever i feel lazy to cook anything at home. I ate Egusi soup and semo this faithful evening, bouncing back after satisfying all the worm in my stomach. lol I decided to pass through the school as i normally do because of dust in the main road. (The government aren't trying to be sincere, and her citizens ain't helping either, what a nation!) The officer smelled hands again, l was thinking he'll smell the Egusi soup but his nose wasn't working or my hands was properly cleaned. lol More people joined to plead for my release, at this point the Officers hearts were softened. I wasn't worried before anyway, whether because l thought, l was innocent. The officer with my phones gave me one of the phones and I asked for other one, and he said you own the two?( like he didn't collect both from my hands lol) I said, yes! He said where are the receipts? (lol in my mind, who walk with phone receipt, when am not travelling, even those that travels, do they go about with phone receipts) I didn't not ask, finally he gave me the phone and said thank this people that pleaded for me. I thanked them, speaking the small hausa i know. As they were going i followed them because that's also the way that leads to my house. Lol 15 steps from that point, l made another turn. Smiles Conclusion: Always go out with your ID (Identification Card) whether you're a student or a worker, mostly when you're going out in the night or you're going to a place you haven't been to before. Also that's what learnt. That was my second experience with men on uniform, l hope to share the first someday. lol
