This reminds me of something that happened some years back. I had gone to live with a friend's family whose parents are pastors. The woman had a big provision store that was closed for a long time because she was sick. And so one day, she asked me to follow her to her store to sell off some of the items at give away price. We finished the sales, but discovered some of the products has expired. To my surprise, this woman brought out spirit and cotton wool to clean away the expired date and sold the products to carefree Nigerians. I tried to convince her that what she is doing now may cause the death of somebody. She ignored me and went ahead to still sell those products. The next day, I had to pack my things and returned to my family house. Indeed some many people have lost their conscience.
Explorers: On May 28, 2013, divers in the wreckage of theJacson-4 were attempting a triage of the vessel, which 100 feet down off the coast of Nigeria after capsizing. What they didn't expect to find was a survivor.
Harrison Okene was the ship's cook. He was in the bathroom around 4am when the boat capsized upside down, and tried to reach an emergency exit hatch but failed. The boat began to fill with water with Okene trapped inside about 100ft below the ocean surface in complete darkness wearing only boxers. Eventually, he found himself trapped with a four square foot bubble of air with a cocacola. He knew he was running out of oxygen so he found a safe corner of the ship and used mattresses to block out water and created air pocket. After three days, he had given up hope. All the while, Okene heard sharks and barracudas fighting over the remains of his shipmates. Then he heard a knock, it was the hammer of the divers working on the surface of the ship. Okene surviving for 62 hour to the shock of the rescue divers, Okene was given diving gear and he was brought to a decompression chamber, where he had to spend two days. He had been at depths that should have killed him in a situation that took the lives of everyone else on board.
Unsurprisingly, he vowed never to go out to sea again. I read the story of this man, only to meet with the wife few months ago in my new location. She told my brother and I the full story. God indeed is a miracle worker.
MVLOX: Earth Science (Geology opinion)....and yes tank u for the further clarification on the maritime university closure cux I have been wondering how a minister can just wake up and close a sch just like.
OK. I am on leave now. Can you drop your contact, will call you when I resume.
MVLOX: This is wat so many pple want to knw.... Thank you for finally hitting the nail on the head.... Well like its said in a law court '' no further questions my lord''....lol
Lol. You welcome my friend. Which department are you. The reason why Amechi was able to close down the maritime university in okerekoko was because the act establishing the school has not be signed. If it has, he would have not be able to do that easily, reason being that it will still have to go through the National, and believe me, it won't have been easy for him. The maritime university in the eyes of the law, is an illegal university.
MVLOX: Just because u are a staff doesn't make u knw more... Some of use follow up dis issues and write about dem in our personal blogs and threads even b4 u knw abt dem. We have friends who are so close to dis politicians. Beside you couldn't even explain to d teeming odas hw a university already established 8 years ago is suddenly re-established again... Something am sure I just explained... Nw ask urself and be honest abt it, who really handled dis issue very well? Mind u no offense intended
For your information, the school for the past 8years has been operating without a legal framework, what that simply means is that, there is no act establishing it to operate legally even though the school has been operating for these year. So what saraki just did now it to give the school legal backing by signing the act establishing the school. Guess I have been able to school you on this issue. If you are still confused, let me know, I will explain further.
MVLOX: 'Earlier today, I signed the Senate version of S.B. 226 ‘A Bill for an Act for the Establishment of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun; and for Other Matters Connected There with (2016). With the rapid and continuous restructuring of Nigeria’s petroleum industry, this bill was borne out of the need for the legislature to develop long- term strategic ways of encouraging the proper management of our nation’s oil and gas resources. Hence, with the governance framework for the University of Petroleum Resources in place, Nigeria will have the domestic capacity to train skilled graduates with the technical ability to administer and further the demands of our petroleum industry. This is vital to our developmental objectives as a nation. This bill, will now be forwarded on to the House of Representatives for passage into an Act of the National Assembly.'
so u see the university had already been established dis is just a version of the establishment act.......... for crying out laloud am a few weeks from graduating from this sch........ and pls just in case of next time try to be more polite wen u talk to pple u are a lady ...... if I had responded the way u replied my comment am sure I would have said something I might later regret
who is supposed to be more informed, you that is a student or me that a staff. Or you think because you are a student, so you know more than everyone person commenting on this tread.
MVLOX: what he signed was something else and not for the establishment of a sch that has already been there for more than 7 years
if you are not sure of what to say, just sit back and read people's comments. FYI, what he signed was an act establishing the Federal University of Petroleum Resources.
Whatever that is happening now is a well planned out and calculated attempt to flush out Christianity. But a lot of Christians seems to be carried away. These people are carrying out a well scripted write up, and we are just watching them. I heard what is happening now since 2009 when a prophetess came from Borno, to tell us about the islamic agenda of the north. Every one thing that woman told us in that meeting is coming to pass. She told us 2009 that Enugu state will be attacked, and true to what she said, they were indeed attacked. Christians must a raise, because they have declare war against us.
This same thing happened during the flood. I knew a neighbour who happen to be a member of the red cross that came back home with 18 seater bus loaded with rice, groundnut oil, cartoons of noodles, etc. I am sorry to say, we have lost our conscience as human. Tufiakwa.
This is a clarion call for all Christians to protect themselves. This is an unprovoked killing. Christians wherever you are, raise up to protect yourself. These people sure do have an agenda.
