Politics › Re: Who Is The Most Sellable Person In The South East If PDP Zones VP To Se? by OnucheAdams: 8:53pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
Historically, the Igbos have always queued behind intellectuals when it comes to occupying very critical political positions -- case in point Ojukwu and Ekwueme. Those that standout from the names mentioned are Soludo and Ojonjo; Okonjo gets the nod in my books because she also has a bit of ND blood in her which makes her acceptable to both the ND and SE.
Bianca is a political neophyte and would be a tough sell; Peter Obi missed an opportunity to cement his legacy by going against Obiano -- now it's clear that he has been demystifyed and has lost significant political ground.
Giving Okonjo the VP slot would ginger not only the SS and SE, but also the female vote bearing in mind that the current occupant has made it clear that women belong in the kitchen and bedroom.
Fayose's litmus test lay in his ability to deliver Ekiti to PDP by next elections; if he fails to do that then he would also be demystified. My thinking is that should the PDP go with Kwankwaso/Fayose, be rest assured that Buhari is toast -- assuming Elections would be free and fair... |

orisa37: Begin from Makarfi: The first detribalised Governor of Kaduna State. From Makarfi City in Kaduna State, so he is not a Fulani immigrant. He is an economist accountant. He recruited N. Sambo for PDP. He restructured Kaduna remarkably to accommodate Christians and Muslim in peace after the Sharia unrest.
David Mark: Very loyal to the Presidency, Authority, PDP and the Society. I don't like Retired Soldiers to keep coming back to rule Nigeria, otherwise OBJ will be eternally right that Soldiers are better Managers of men and materials than civilians. David Mark is good and astute. He is a North Central while Makarfi is a North Westerner.
Dangote is a winner if PDP can make him.
NOI is a winner if PDP can win her.
Wike is good but should do second term as Rivers' Governor.
Fayiose should go to Senate.

Bede2u: Atiku is sellable.
Also they should consider Nuhu Ribadu if Atiku has issues b4 the election. The logic is this... Ribadu is a younger version of Buhari. So anything APC claims Buhari is, Ribadu is as well.
For Running mate, they should go for Prof. Soludo. The logic is this.... Soludo is a younger version of Osinbajo. So anything APC claims Osinbajo is, Soludo is as well.
Make the fight start Is it the same Ribadu that struggles to express himself in public? Ribadu lacks political capital and may struggle to win his home state of Adamawa. |
Politics › Re: 2019: Buhari May Pick Tinubu As VP by OnucheAdams: 7:46am On Dec 13, 2017 |
Osibanjo lacks both political and electoral value, which makes him a liability for 2019. A Tinubu as VP is certainly a desperate move by GMB, but again if he were wise, he'd simply hand over to a much younger and vibrant candidate. |

verygudbadguy: Not true. According to NOI, OBJ left 43.13 billion USD and the amount is a gross total of the CBN external reserve, excess crude account and FG savings. https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/55bn-got-wrong-fg-replies-obasanjo/amp/
Respect to Yar'adua. He is one of the most respected presidents we have had so far. But then, we had so much revenue that the CBN external reserve rose from 31billion USD to 62b USD because oil was selling around 147usd per barrel. What then happened to the reserve after the Yar Adua's demise? What got it deplicted?

Politics › Re: Who Is Watching Gov Nysom Wike Justify South South Bid For PDP Chairmanship by OnucheAdams: 1:15pm On Dec 08, 2017 |
Goke7: Thank God you are facing reality now but ekiti can't give you enough votes to do the magic. You still need to get more votes from the SW to do it and that's where the problem lies again, majority of South westerners just like northerners won't vote for northerner with a running mate from the SE.
Me think the pdp chairmanship going to the SS is a ploy to give The SW the VP slot [the Fayose connection], reason I said the SE will be played again. An APC northern candidate with a running mate gain from the SW will edge it against a PDP northern candidate with a running mate from the SE. Think about it. Indeed; I suspect that PDP would field Kwankwaso/Shekarau with a VP from the SW whom I suspect to be Fayose. The essence of a Secondus as National Chairman is to help broker a deal with the SE/SS in readiness for 2023. |

She is just a cheap olosho who hides under the name "Actress" to prostitute herself among big Lagos men. In person, she's very local and can easily develop a complex when you take her to a decent restaurant. Aside the big hips and ok ass, she really has nothing tangible to offer. My homeboy who used to date her wondered how she became an actress. But after banging a couple of her friends, he now realized that in Nigeria the word actress is simply an avenue to showcase your goods to the preying public. |

Obaze doesn't have electoral value, while Soludo lacks broad based appeal in the SE. The best candidate I reckon would be Okonjo Iweala, as she is perhaps the most prominent South Easterner alive; she would also get the Women to queue behind her in tandem with block votes from the SE. |

sarrki: Forget 2015. Buhari contested three elections prior to that. On two occassions he got over 12 million votes and one just over 6 million votes. On those three occassions, almost 90% of his votes came from the North. Now that his tentacles has spread beyond the North, i will bet with anything, Buhari will defeat anyone with two eyes closed in 2019. The only way he can be defeated is if he choose not to contest. Love him or loathe him, Buhari is an institution.

This is the handwork of Bello whose desperation would end up being his undoing. So it's taking the EFCC two years to trace funds to Wada, despite credible evidence that clearly exempts him from being complicit in the alleged bazar by Dezani. |

vedaxcool: You talk of Bureaucracy like you even understand how government payment system really is when it is the same system that pays civil servants ttheir salary. And cease the poor comparison to the oil sector which has special laws and procedures that govern its activities. The whole issue is simple Intel collects money and pays the money into the TSA, government refunds Intel its money. But insisting Intel holds money belonging to government which it can deliberately underdeclare because it has banks loans to pay is just unconscionable. If you have transacted with the Nigerian Government, you'd never argue in favor of NPA. The focus of government is on recurrent expenditures hence the reason why salary payment is a priority. Lump sump payments for services rendered by the FGN usually has to be routed via multiple bureaucratic bottlenecks, which all but makes life complicated for the service provider. |

...almost four paragraphs just to talk about your China-made transformer projects.. Gosh! Common transformers that many individuals buy these days from a single pocket! If I were a common Councillor, I won't even be proud to publicize such!
You dirty hags scam the people with your dirty and petty projects after depriving them of quality education and literacy. In my part in Kogi for instance, no new public primary, secondary school, clinic or hospital has been built in over 28 years (since the creation of Kogi state). Even the old ones we got from the military regime have continued to deteriorate yet you shameless pigs run to Abuja every weekend to sleep with pros.tit.utes in your gigantic mansions, including those with over 3 wives. Kogi roads, especially those in Dino's senatorial district, have gone from bad to complete comatose..even pedestrians can't walk on them anymore.
Well, nothing can stop the FALEKE movement in the coming election, I mean NOTHING!! We shall take Faleke all the way from Lagos to pursue and overtake you shameless and stagnated pigs from that Lugard house! Enough is Enough abeg! I am sure that no one in Kogi would agree with you on your description of Wada. If anything, the fact that no one has been able to attribute any corrupt act to him implies that he is indeed a man of integrity. Kogi's problems are structural and unless you address the root cause, these problems would continue to linger. |

Shawnnn01: Since this is a copied post I have little to say but OP because Atiku/INTEL is the next new thing to Eldorado is that why Atiku must not be made to render precisely how much is generated by Intel ? Why does your saint have a problem routing Intel generated revenue through TSA ? What does it cost Atiku to keep records and demand for the fraction negotiated after each fiscal year ? Every businesses in Nigeria had been made to go that way so tell me do Atika and his Italian friends own bigger heads than the rest of us ? If the IOCs were mandated to route all revenues from oil into the TSA before deriving their share, be rest assured that they'd all close shop and move on to more favorable and business friendly climate. While on paper it appears simple and sensible for all funds to be routed to the TS, in practice however, the presence of a crumbling bureaucracy makes it a nightmare for a potential investor who's saddled with obligations to lenders etc. |

RoyalUc: This whole idea/strategy sounds cool since one of the reasons for imposing tax is to finance public infrastructure and this is a direct (and maybe, more efficient) way to use taxation for its purpose provided there is fairness and accountability.
But I share MaziOmenuko's sentiments. The NASS should not be allowed to continue like this. If this continues, I foresee a time the NASS will hand-twist and blackmail the Executive into carrying out their biddings. Indeed, the fact that it was done without legislative approval again goes to prove that it's in violation of the constitution. |
