Historically, the Igbos have always queued behind intellectuals when it comes to occupying very critical political positions -- case in point Ojukwu and Ekwueme. Those that standout from the names mentioned are Soludo and Ojonjo; Okonjo gets the nod in my books because she also has a bit of ND blood in her which makes her acceptable to both the ND and SE.

Bianca is a political neophyte and would be a tough sell; Peter Obi missed an opportunity to cement his legacy by going against Obiano -- now it's clear that he has been demystifyed and has lost significant political ground.

Giving Okonjo the VP slot would ginger not only the SS and SE, but also the female vote bearing in mind that the current occupant has made it clear that women belong in the kitchen and bedroom.

Fayose's litmus test lay in his ability to deliver Ekiti to PDP by next elections; if he fails to do that then he would also be demystified. My thinking is that should the PDP go with Kwankwaso/Fayose, be rest assured that Buhari is toast -- assuming Elections would be free and fair...

Osibanjo lacks both political and electoral value, which makes him a liability for 2019. A Tinubu as VP is certainly a desperate move by GMB, but again if he were wise, he'd simply hand over to a much younger and vibrant candidate.

Respect to Yar'adua. He is one of the most respected presidents we have had so far. But then, we had so much revenue that the CBN external reserve rose from 31billion USD to 62b USD because oil was selling around 147usd per barrel. What then happened to the reserve after the Yar Adua's demise? What got it deplicted?

Me think the pdp chairmanship going to the SS is a ploy to give The SW the VP slot [the Fayose connection], reason I said the SE will be played again. An APC northern candidate with a running mate gain from the SW will edge it against a PDP northern candidate with a running mate from the SE. Think about it.

Indeed; I suspect that PDP would field Kwankwaso/Shekarau with a VP from the SW whom I suspect to be Fayose. The essence of a Secondus as National Chairman is to help broker a deal with the SE/SS in readiness for 2023.

Forget 2015. Buhari contested three elections prior to that. On two occassions he got over 12 million votes and one just over 6 million votes. On those three occassions, almost 90% of his votes came from the North. Now that his tentacles has spread beyond the North, i will bet with anything, Buhari will defeat anyone with two eyes closed in 2019. The only way he can be defeated is if he choose not to contest. Love him or loathe him, Buhari is an institution.

And cease the poor comparison to the oil sector which has special laws and procedures that govern its activities. The whole issue is simple Intel collects money and pays the money into the TSA, government refunds Intel its money. But insisting Intel holds money belonging to government which it can deliberately underdeclare because it has banks loans to pay is just unconscionable.

If you have transacted with the Nigerian Government, you'd never argue in favor of NPA. The focus of government is on recurrent expenditures hence the reason why salary payment is a priority. Lump sump payments for services rendered by the FGN usually has to be routed via multiple bureaucratic bottlenecks, which all but makes life complicated for the service provider.

I am sure that no one in Kogi would agree with you on your description of Wada. If anything, the fact that no one has been able to attribute any corrupt act to him implies that he is indeed a man of integrity. Kogi's problems are structural and unless you address the root cause, these problems would continue to linger.
