Right after Atiku lost the 2019 presidential election, he started preparations to contest the 2023 presidential election.
He was further assured for the 2023 contest the period he played VIP at the wedding of one of president Buhari's kids in 2021. Wike must have known these facts, and threw himself into the contest.
Even without any agreement made, there has not been a time a foremost political party’s presidential candidate and the Party Chairman came from the same region. Must Wike tell Atiku and Ayu the PDP Chairman to do the correct thing?

By the way, Atiku is insulting the vast majority of Nigerians in his race to succeed a fellow northern Fulani Muslim. He also wants to start the history of apex political leadership of Nigeria from 1999, but not from 1960. Between 1960 to 1999, people from Atiku's north ruled Nigeria for nearly 70% of the time.
And it was the most important period during which the fraudulent and lopsided political structure of 19 states in one region - north - but 17 states in 2 regions - south - were created, with unitary government system and a Constitution supervised by the northern military dictators to legitimise the fraud.
Persons like the Amaechi you mentioned don't understand some of these things.

President Buhari needs to act decisively to save his face, save Nigeria from calamity.
Tinubu people have been boasting that Tinubu influenced majority of the Judges of the present Supreme Court. They taunt people and say the voter's PVC will be useless. They believe that after the presidential election, the majority of the Supreme Court judges will award victory to Tinubu. Tinubu and Fashola have never stopped insisting that Tinubu will win the next presidential election. How could they be so sure?

After serving as governor of Edo state and Chairman of APC, Oshiomhole descends to contest for a legislative seat. He wants to do siddon de look in the Senate chamber till he gets retired. Is he the only politician in his constituency or does he suffer inferiority complex?

he knows that if he leaves or mentions any candidate's name, the national nwc of the PDP can dissolve the state PDP and that will affect all his candidates under PDP and he has no other party to go.

But Wike is much more brilliant than Amaechi in political tactics.

According to latest from BBC Africa on Tinubu's drug trafficking investigations:

"He (Bola Tinubu) said he had saved $1.8m (£1.5m) from his wages and other allowances, nearly the same amount found in accounts linked to him in a 1993 dispute with the US authorities.

In documents that are publicly available, the US Department of Justice alleged that from early 1988, accounts opened in the name of Bola Tinubu held the proceeds of sales of white heroin.

Kevin Moss, the special agent that investigated the operation, alleged that Mr Tinubu worked for their prime suspect Adegoboyega Akande.

While the court confirmed it had cause to believe the money in the bank accounts were the proceeds of drug trafficking, Mr Tinubu and the others denied the allegations, and the court never made a final order about the money's origins.
Instead, Mr Tinubu, who was not personally charged over the money, reached a compromise settlement with authorities and forfeited $460,000."

In other words, no final pronouncement was made by the US government on Tinubu's drug trafficking offences.
President Manuel Noriega of Panama was taken from Presidential Palace of Panama by the US, tried in the US and jailed in the US
where he died recently. Noriega was taken because of the drug trafficking offences he committed before he became president of Panama.

Forfeiture of money earned from trafficking in hard drugs is not the punishment for possessing money one knew was earned through trafficking in hard drugs. Punishment for offence of drugs trafficking is never wiped off in any country's books because of the severity of the offence.
