You only need to see it in real life and know its simply a sleek 4 door sports-liner.

Like I noted, the shape of the trunk cover is the same in any sports, those terms are not practicals, they are only terms used by one manufacturer to make a same model seem to have more "features" than the exact competing model by another manufacturer.

For me its simply a 4 door sports. And its a very cool thing to integrate up to 4 doors and still keep that sports-line shape.

I'll take the jaguar still though.

Thats a comparison between the Jaguar XF and the Audi S6 engines. This post compares a different set of vehicle models.

By the way, Jaguar has a matching model with equal torque. The top car manufacturers make models to match a competitors'. Thats been my view from the onset. BUT Im with Jag, all day everyday.
Car TalkRe: Jaguar Xf Or Audi by Onwan: 12:58am On Dec 22, 2009
My wife likes the design too anyway, BUT she prefers the Jag for me anyday anytime
Car TalkRe: Jaguar Xf Or Audi by Onwan: 12:56am On Dec 22, 2009
OK then that seals it.

Audi for ladies AND,

JAGUAR for R.E.A.L. MEN - but of course it is.

Its called engineering.

Mr. Platinumnk, This one no be gold again, na PLATINUM
Car TalkRe: Jaguar Xf Or Audi by Onwan: 12:25am On Dec 22, 2009
Take a good look at this; Its a 4 door AND its still sleeker than than the Audi coupe and most coupes PLUS its a Jaguar,

You were saying ??

Car TalkRe: Jaguar Xf Or Audi by Onwan: 12:01am On Dec 22, 2009
@ Platinumnk

Question well asked BUT for an analogy?, I dont see it.

Maybe like; would you want to take pure water or bottled EVA water??

Well to answer your question, I am married to a unique beautiful woman - her manners suits me and my lifestyle. That formed a basis for my life, AND Audi is a name too small for me to hand a jag over. The coupe looks like a coupe A4. And I am sure I will be bored over that in a month.

BUT a Jag will be like a gold chain or a gold ring, if its faulty, I'll keep it till its fixed and put it back on the road again.
Car TalkRe: Jaguar Xf Or Audi by Onwan: 11:34pm On Dec 21, 2009
@ Adrenaline

Then your garage will be a big boxing ring for that hot competition. For me they are the same vehicles with different badges and I'll go with the Jaguar badge because something about Audi makes the design boring after months of looking at it everyday while for a Jaguar it only gets classier.

@ Siena

Sorry for your misunderstanding of my view point; That "5 door sportsback" to me is simply a "5 door" sport-liner sedan or crossover if you will. I cant actually squeeze any of my kids' bicycle in the "Hatchback" can i? Just looking at the pictures and seeing it real life, its a 4 door sport-liner. Just look at it.

Also talking about build quality;

For new models generally; build qualities are being compromised with the cheaper lighter "metals" being developed BUT some manufacturers FOR SOME OF THEIR MODELS keep the real things; thats why some models are extremely expensive - just like these two above.

And talking about build quality; how many of us would keep any of these cars for more than 10 yearshuh?? - I would the Jag though - Its appearance improves with time. Audi bores me after a while, they are sooooooo the same

This is just my view though.

Cheers

That's it sitting in a car lot; not in an assembly line; its 2009 model.

That car up there is labeled A5 2.0

Check it out yourself.

The Audi A5 has a 4 door variant as you can see in the rear pic. view above, ALSO the Jaguar XF has a coupe variant as you can see in the last pic above.

Just to let you know.

You see, considering the fact that we'll spend about the same buying spare parts, doing diagnostics AND have the same worries about scratches, etc; IF I have to pick between one of these two, I'll be this one below;

Car TalkRe: Jaguar Xf Or Audi by Onwan: 10:19pm On Dec 21, 2009
There is just something you cant take away from the Jaguar; The Jaguar. Its straight luxurious and better build quality. The Audi is trying to image up as the luxury arm of VW, they are of very strong quality and unique designs though, BUT this is a tough choice.

I'll take the Jaguar, because at this level of pricing and design, they will end up having almost the same problems and non-problems. BUT I will simply think of it as you asking me to pick between a JAGUAR and an AUDI - Do the maths

For a V8 engine, If two of the spark plugs are not firing, part of the symptoms will be slow speed and jerky movement and idle.

If you discover that two of the spark plugs are not firing, then they should confirm IF the plug wires are okay; IF they are confirmed okay, then you have to let the rewire do the following - Mind you at that point, a mechanic will suggest to open the engine, DO NOT LET THEM! -

1. Let the rewire check and clean the two nuzzles that are corresponding to the two non-firing plugs. IF they are okay, let him clean the throttle idle control and air intake control. He should make sure your air-flow meter is okay and the air hose route is clean and no leakage in the whole system - including the vacuum system.

2. When all this is done, the vehicle will be in very good condition, any more shaky idle, he should reset the brain box / ECU.

I am sure it was a mechanic that "cleaned" the sensor. Please remember and note that sensors are electronic circuits AND should NOT be cleaned like you are cleaning a spark plug, fuel or tinner can cause a short inside it.

The part of the engine that are recommended to be cleaned are Valves (which most people mistake for sensors)

1. Throttle Idle control valve
2. Air intake Valve
3. Air Intake filter (Paper like thing - that is always dusty - you will be suprised to know the effect of cleaning that thing)
4. Air intake hose - that BIG HOSE assembly
5. Air/Fuel ratio valve.

These are controlled by sensors - BUT the valves are to be cleaned NOT THE SENSORS.

Hope this will help

Clean the nuzzles, tune the air/fuel valves and all the other valves and check the vacuum system, then reset the brain box
AutosRe: In Need Of Sensor For 2001 Acura 3.2 Tl by Onwan: 9:44am On Dec 21, 2009
1. Airbag - You are better off ignoring the Airbag light than messing with the sensor - IF they try working on replacing the sensor and you notice the light again, that means the Airbag can actually be deployed ANYDAY, ANYTIME - even if you apply the brakes at a low speed of 10km/h.

BUT If not expensive, replace ONLY the sensor for the airbag - do not let them touch the wiring of the airbag system (They usually mess it up). But its better to ignore it.

2. The Nuzzles set IS NOT a fuel filter, you fuel filter is that cylinder thing you change when servicing; It does not come with a sensor, its just what you buy and fit - interfacing your tank and the fuel pump/injector assembly - IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL - For my lexus, it costs N700.

Just have a rewire service your nuzzles (All six of them - they are the size of spark plugs - and costs about N500 - BUT you dont need to change though), injectors (assembly), THEN he will reset the system by thoroughly tunning the vaccum system, the air/fuel intake system and this will regularise your ECU/Brainbox (They will even reset it manually if needed) IT IS NO BIG DEAL.

Since you are not having a rough idle or vehichle shaking when in idle gear or off Idle gear (D, 2, etc) - Just service and drive.

These vehichles have the same issues - Its just the way it works, you will only help yourself by getting a rewire (A good one) and know what you want him to do.

Its an Acura, not a Kia or Scoda, their mechanical parts are very rugged (Thats why they cost 2 or 3 times a Kia, Scoda brand new) - The only issues on them that need regular ( once a year) attention is;

1. Air Intake system (That big hose and circuit you see on top when you open your bonnet.
2. If someone mistakenly uses the O/D (Overdrive) - you will have to re-tune to get it to stop guzzling fuel and not to have rough idle or high start-up idle speed
3. ECU

And really, for the airbag thing, dont let them mess you up.

Cheers
AutosRe: In Need Of Sensor For 2001 Acura 3.2 Tl by Onwan: 10:28pm On Dec 20, 2009
OK

1. Airbag indicator - Some vehicles (Tokumbos) have had some of the airbags deployed in previous accidents and after replacing the panels, the sensors are either not replaced or most cases not factory set (Optimised), so the result is after a while the sign keeps popping up.

2. For the smell; the fuel filter IS NOT A SENSOR its simply a filter and can be replaced for at most 1k. The real issue here is what you can have taken care of if you will follow my advise;

Get a very good rewire (Not some computer diagnostic person please!!), tell him to service your injector and nuzzles (you dont need to buy or change any of them - just the spray for cleaning N250 per can). After cleaning those things, then he will reset the system by tunning to make sure you have a balanced air/fuel ratio and you can drive happily.

Our problem usually with cars like these (Acura, lexus, Toyota, etc) is that we think its a Mechanic's job to handle injector and Nuzzles, its a rewire's job because thats when they can reset the whole system to be in tune with your vacuum system, air/fuel ratio, etc -

Dont get me wrong, the computer people do some work BUT, they concentrate more on diagnostics than repairs and we also both know what those costs are. They spend more time learning to use the computers than repairs (I know this for a fact)

Hope this helps

Alright, I spoke with the person with the new number and he confirms;

Model: 2000
Best Price: 3.5M huh

Im sure he is not interested in selling it because I'll get that for 1.5M at Berger.
AutosRe: In Need Of Sensor For 2001 Acura 3.2 Tl by Onwan: 8:16pm On Dec 20, 2009
Thats very correct.

If its rough idle or non-rev.ing, its likely to be the Air Intake Valve, there is also the Throttle/Air Intake Idle Valve AND the Idle Speed Control Valve.

Its essential you state the actual problem you are having, so one can recommend and suggest.

Very funny pricing.

If anyone really wants a Range Rover; you are better off strolling into any of those lots around Onipan / Surulere; I actually got an offer for a 2006 Sports for 6.8M.

This poster either made a mistake in the pricing OR wants to learn about pricing.

If you feel concerned about it, just let it off your mind BY telling her; that way you will have a free conscience AND it will not stand against you in the form of guilt.

You might actually be saving a life by doing that considering the diseases that comes with that shameful and cursed lifestyle.

You really dont need to care about what some low-lives will say; you are simply better than they are. Dont even bother about what she will say, JUST TELL HER.

Go ahead and save someone a lifetime imprisonment (or at least try)
