How many people has ever heard the point of view of Abacha's family?

If somebody can come here and say I have seen Mohamed Abacha frequenting his private jet, or I have seen their palatial home in Abuja, or the families fleet of brand new lexus motors, then it would be a good point to start concluding that Abacha was a looter.

But all people are going by, is the news reports that have been engineered by Obasanjo and Babangida to discredit and label Abacha as a looter.

Anambra tribunal nullifies Ekwunife's election

The Election Petitions Tribunal in Awka has nullified the election of Mrs Uche Ekwunife as member of the House of Representatives representing Anaocha, Njikoka, Dunukofia Federal Constituency of Anambra.

In the judgment read by Justice Yushai Mukhtar (member), the tribunal held that Ekwunife was not duly returned by INEC.

The tribunal also cancelled all the votes allocated to the parties in Nimo Wards 1 and 2, Enugwu-Ukwu Ward 1 in Njikoka Area and Ezemezu Square Polling Unit in Umunachi in Dunukofia Area.

The Onajite Kuejubola-led tribunal ordered INEC to conduct a fresh election in the affected areas within three months from the date of judgment.

Mukhtar, however, discountenanced the allegation of malpractice levelled against the respondents during the election by the petitioner.

He also dismissed the evidence adduced by the petitioner's forensic expert, pointing out that the so called expert failed under cross examination by the respondents' counsel.

``The petitioner's forensic expert failed under cross examination to state the instrument he used to calculate the results of the contestants in the election.

``We are in agreement with the respondents that the submission of the petitioner that the election was inconclusive by reason of electoral malpractice in the entire Anaocha council area could not hold water."

The petition was filed against Ekwunife by Mr Dozie Nwankwo of ACN.

Ekwunife, who contested the election on the platform of APGA, garnered 32,785 votes to beat her closest rival, Nwankwo, who scored 20, 213 votes.

All of them should just pray that Ngige will not declare intention to run because if he does . . . . . .

I have challenged you to post pictures from awka because i live there too and will be here to post my own.
I have resisted the urge to embark on campaign of posting images of rapidly decaying infrastructures in awka and other parts of anambra simply because nairaland aburo ebe m ga eme udi ihe ahu because of udi ndorondoro di na etiti anyi na ndi Yoruba.

People of the state are running out of patience! Promises everyday. Initially, he was blaming Andy Uba for his dullness and people hated the guy more than they do his brother. Andy realised what is happening and removed himself from anambra and that left peter with no other person to blame and he suddenly embarked on campaign of lies and deceit. That one went a long way in buying him a second tenure. Though i didnt vote him, but most people who did were hoping he has something in store for his second tenure. Look where that got everybody.
What people now HEAR in anambra is about projects going on in part of anambra where they dont live. Or, stories that one multinational is coming to do one thing or the other.
I really wonder how far he thought all that will take him cos people now know who is deceiving who. You dont need the media to experience good governance, you experience it!
It is because of him that andy uba (a hated person) won convincingly in a free and fair election in anambra. People are just fed up with him and his apga tricks.

Don't mind that rascal onye-ngbu, he has been so jealousy of Anambra and its souring height in the physical and economic realms. Anambra remains the light for the SE and Nigeria at large, not even mere imo state can attempt to compete with Anambra in terms of any ramification. Imo state has continued to churn out visionless and focuseless govts from Udenwa to Ohakim and now Rachas. Imo state is one empty state with little or nothing to offer its citizens, it is one state that lack infrastructural development through out the state senatorial districts, its one state that think that area which is not up to 20 hectares of land called owerri is its glory, its quite a shame. Come to Onitsha, the 1/3 of the people living and trading/working in the city are all imo citizens because there govt has failed them over the years they all ran to Anambra. At the drug market at the Head Bridge the 2/3 of the people domiciled in that market are all imo citizen especially Orlu/Ideato people. I have kept asking them does Imos state starts and ends with owerri otokoto? Entire owerri is not up to 1/3 of Onitsha. With all these I wonder why imo people will not be happy with themselves and their neighbours for once.

GEJ (my man) bought over APGA through Peter Obi. Thats why somebody like Ken Nnamani was refused APGA presidential ticket and all we heard is that nobody bought APGA ticket and thats why APGA supported Jonathan.

If Petr Obi did something that big why wont he make him VP sef.
