Huh?? So I am a closet tribalist and it does not matter what tribe I am from? How can I be a tribalist if you have no clue what tribe I am from ? At least you should be able to tell me that that since persons with tribal alliegiances usually strongly identify with one tribe over others. So either you know what tribe I am or you are just here to type useless statements to waste my time on here. Which one is it?
Now, you are being desperate about it.

Sorry dear, I wont do you that favour by saying it again. I know your tribe just like many other people here do.

You are saying someone else decides what you believe of others? I won't even delve much into that.

Any proof that I am a closet tribalist? First off! What tribe am I from? and what Tribes do I dislike, as you do?
No im saying the person has the perfect name for people like you.

Your tribe and which tribe you dislike? It doesnt matter at all, Doest it?

Let me tell you the kind of people you belong to:

Someone on this thread had a name for you- Closet tribalist. Thats what she calls your kind of people.

Should we be more concerned with his qualifications or consider his accomplishments during his time in office so far in deciding if he should be renewed or not? I guess I am really asking what exactly has this man done during his time as CBN governor to warrant a renewal. I am neither pro obj or pro yar adua, and this has nothing to do with ethnicity. Just a simple straight forward question needing simple straight and to the point answer(s).
how can ethnicity not be a factor when people like you are involved.
PoliticsRe: David Ejoor's View About The Civil War by onyengbu1(m): 3:32pm On Apr 04, 2009
I dont expect old age to change this man's tribalistic views if not I will be amazed at how a man of his age could be such a liar.

His statements are full of hate and bias. More noticeable in this interview is that this man is a complete coward.

He did not even make any mention of the pogrom which is the highlight of the pre war period. He completely avoided saying anything about it. Making it look like the coup failed, the igbos then ran out of options and started attacking from midwest.

Nothing led to nothing.

Igbo people needed to take power and they consulted him and Gowon to help them?

Ironsi was part of the Coup and the best he could do is send him to Enugu 'to hide him there' and then after the coup him to mid west.
Igbo people relied on Ojukwu for the coup and they were able to convince the Yoruba. Ojukwu and Banjo now contacted me and Gowon for a coup.
How did the igbos rely on Ojukwu for the coup he could not say. What role did Ojukwu play in the coup, this old man could still say.

Convincing Banjo now means convincing yoruba. What a man!

This man, I am sorry to say, is full of hatred and lies! Shame on him.

Im sure the pastor did not write the article but the church officials shouldnt have allowed it.

They knew it was going to be written afterall they are the ones who provided Thisday with the accurate information of the plane bargain.
PoliticsRe: Thisday Corrects Self On "Pastor Adeboye's" Jet by onyengbu1(m): 1:53pm On Apr 03, 2009
When I heard the news of the purchase of the plane first like almost everybody, I believed it and was dissapointed because Adeboye is one Pentecostal pastor anyone should respect.

This 'correction' news from thisday to me, seem to have done more damage than the original story because it is either not presented well or lacked merits.

To the people who are outrightly calling Adeboye a thief and other names, my questions is: have you proved it? Its ok to me to say that you dont believe the story but calling him a thief or a gangster will not help you rather it will hurt you.

It doesnt feel right when people call men of God names, even though some of us here who are angry that Adeboye is beign insulted will not see anything wrong if it is the POPE or TB Joshua that is being attacked.

My point is that everyone should watch what he says about any man of God. Even if you dont believe that the person is a man of God.

Much as I would love to be happy that Adeboye is finally not guilty of all these, I still think that this story is full of holes.

How does these church members intend to offset 70% remaining payment of an aircraft and its maintenance by running charters. Again I never knew that a bank can use the same thing you loaned them money to buy as a collateral. I maybe wrong shaa but the transaction details with the 'bank' sounded too good for me to believe.

If you are trying to turn that unfortunate incident into a tribal thing, then you might just be shooting yourself on the foot because the article clearly stated that the woman is an 'ofe mmanu' (yoruba) woman.

So leave igbo out of it. I nula?

I wonder what most of you should have been saying by now if it was said that it was an igbo lady.

I don't know anything about the war cause I was born almost 23yrs after the war begin ( assuming it started 1966). The reason I choose not to know about the war is knowing the kind of person that I am, I'll always pick side and there are too many stories about the war that are teller's bias. But I seriously think Ojukwu should've made better preparation. At least he wasn't arrested in a hole like Saddam Husein (That guy na total fuk up). How come Igbo people didn't vote for him? Because I think if it wasn't for that war, the Hausas would've continued killing until foreign governments interfere or the Gowon government overthrown.
imagine a 'pupil' coming here to comment on biafra war too.

I have been wondering who is the slowpoke with that stupid name, 9jaganja .

It amazes me how people reason here, so when a group of Nigerians(the hausas) mudered in cold blood hundreds of thousands of igbos in pogrom and much more 'genocidally' in the war they wont take the blame for that it will be Ojukwu that will be blamed for
initiating the cold blooded massacres (war) and unwanted killings of his own people
.

The 'cold blood massacres of his people done by WHO?

Why are people so afraid of saying that igbos were massacred, They only keep blaming Ojukwu.

Why not blame the people that did the massacre and not the man that tried to stop it.

Damn Hypocrites!!

People from all tribes engage in illegal trading in Lagos; illegal in the sense that, they are using land/areas to trade that
has not been approved by the government.

The issue here is not who trades the most in Nigeria, that's not what this thread is about, the point I am making is that, every tribe is going through the pains of illegal structure demolition by the lagos state govt, not just the igbos.
so it doesnt appear to you that the people who trade most are most likely to be the ones who mostly inhabit the said markets.

should i use the word slowpoke again?
PoliticsRe: Three Nigerians May Participate In Obama’s Govt by onyengbu1(m): 1:55am On Mar 19, 2009

I have said go and bring your proof that the illegal markets are inhabited mostly by igbos.
maybe you didnt know you used the word 'mostly' if you do then you are obviously deceiving youself or probably another tribalist if you dont agree that there are more igbo traders in lagos.

the proof is all over everywhere so no one will give it to you.

maybe when the arguments about who dominates education in nigeria, you will come out to confess that igbos dominate trading and not schools.

Morons!

if i have not been going through other igbo bashing threads on this site, I would have agreed with some posters here that it is wrong for Afaukwu to have turned this news into igbo news.

But I wont agree with them. they are all closet tribalist (according to asha80)

I did not see any of you coming out to condemn bilymuse when he said that nigeria cannot afford igbo president, and other countless igbo bashings on nairaland.

why is it bad only when it is stated by igbo person.

Sometimes I wonder what an Yoruba guy needs a Main market shop for?  grin grin

But joke apart, What for?

To sell juju materials?

Hell no!! You cant alot 1 million naira + shop at Onitsha main market to a yoruba woman to sell juju materials. Apart from the fact that she cant afford it, It doesn make sense because juju materials are not sold at Main market. She can still be doing that in the nearby OSE market. And there are many yoruba people there.

Alot the same shop for a mallam to sell goats? Why? They are very okay with their shops at head bridge, where everyone knows that goats are sold. Why take him to MAIN market where he can neither afford nor have patronage.

My point in all these is simply that the tribalist here on this thread crying for equal shop allocations are mostly people who know nothing abot trading.

Trading iscan  igbo thing and the few hausa/yoruba people that do it should not complain about unfair competition from the igbos and even if they do. It is understandable that the igbos will be doing better than them.

Just like no sensible igbo man will complain that his hausa neighbour is selling more goats than him. or selling more suya than him.
