Politics › Re: Herdsmen: Army Tackles TY Danjuma, Warns Nigerians To Be Law Abiding by OnyeOGA(m): 11:50am On Mar 25, 2018 |
imhotep: By Nwafor Sunday
Nigerian military has on Sunday classified the statement credited to a former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, as an unfortunate statement coming out from a highly distinguished statesman especially now the military has embarked on demilitarization of the North Central Region of the Country.
Danjuma The headquarter through its public relations director, Texas Chukwu, Brigadier General also warned Nigerians not to listen to the former chief of Army staff, noting that anyone caught in possession of arms would be dealt with. “The Nigerian Army is constitutionally charged with the responsibility of defending the territorial integrity of Nigeria and to aid the civil authority whenever called upon to do so”, part of its statement read. Recall that Danjuma had asked Nigerians especially Taraba indigenes to protect themselves or risk being killed by herdsmen. A statement he made at the convocation ceremony of the Taraba State University, yesterday that pinched the Nigerian Army. Danjuma said, “You must rise to protect yourselves from these people; if you depend on the armed forces to protect you, you will all die.
Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai “I ask all of you to be on the alert and defend your country, defend your state. “This ethnic cleansing must stop in Taraba, and it must stop in Nigeria. These killers have been protected by the military; they cover them and you must be watchful to guide and protect yourselves because you have no other place to go”, he said.
In view of this therefore, the Nigerian headquarter on Sunday issued a statement warning Nigerians not to listen to the advice of the statesman for they are saddled with the responsibility of protecting the territory. Read its full statement below: “The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to the unfortunate statement made by a former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, during the convocation ceremony of the Taraba State University on Saturday 24 March 2018 in which he categorically asserted that the Armed Forces of Nigeria was colluding with militias and other criminal elements and was unable to provide security for the citizens of Taraba State.
He further called the people of Taraba State to take up arms and defend themselves. “The Nigerian Army views this statement made by the former Chief of Army Staff as most unfortunate at this critical time that the military has embarked upon demilitarisation of the North Central Region of the Country. “While Nigerian Army would not want to join issues with the Elder Statesman, however, certain facts need to be clearly stated in the interest of the Taraba People and the Nigerian public: “The Nigerian Army is constitutionally charged with the responsibility of defending the territorial integrity of Nigeria and to aid the civil authority whenever called upon to do so. In this light, the authorisation for the conduct of Ex AYEM AKPATUMA was authorised and troops deployed to curb menace of the herdsmen-farmers conflict and other criminal activities in the North Central Region amongst others. “
It is on record that the successes so far achieved in Ex AYEM AKPATUMA have been recognised and accepted by Nigerians. “The public is notified that Nigerian Army personnel have had to pay the supreme price for ensuring the sustenance of security in Taraba State. For instance, a gallant non-commission officer of the Nigerian Army was beheaded on 16 March 2018 in Takum Taraba State by criminal elements. “It is noteworthy to state that at the inception of Ex AYEM AKPATUMA, the Taraba State Government, did not cooperate with the Nigerian Army due to the Army’s stance to remain absolutely neutral in the herdsmen-farmers crisis. The Nigerian Army will continue to remain as such. “For avoidance of doubt, the Nigerian Army advises the people of Taraba State and indeed all other Nigerians to continue in their day-to-day activities and be law abiding as anyone caught with arms and ammunition will be dealt with accordance with the laws of the land. Every law-abiding citizen is assured of equal protection and security of their lives and property irrespective of his/her person.”

Of the 20 AIRPORTS in Nigeria, 12 are INTERNATIONAL, 8 are DOMESTIC. The NORTH has 8 Airports designated as “International” by FAAN, The rest of Nigeria has 4 INTERNATIONAL airports. South-South 1 South East 1 South West 2. 7 of the 8 Northern International airports handled less than 2,700 flights in 2016 according to FAAN figures. Calabar is NOT designated as an “International” airport operation wise. Enugu, till date, is still half an international airport. This is your One Nigeria 90% of these Northern International airports are “SEASONAL” airports having passengers ONLY during Hajj periods Even during the seasonal Christian pilgrimage, Southern Christians are made to use the Lagos or Abuja airports. That’s how unfair the whole thing is? The region that actually constitute the international traveling public has far fewer international airports than the region were people rarely travel. This is why there’s an NNAMDI KANU. The injustice in Nigeria is obvious to even the blind. The implication of this is that these so-called ghost international airports get funds and attention like an International hub though nothing practically goes on there. How can Katsina, Yola, Maiduguri and Sokoto be designated international status for God’s sake! Who exactly is flying out of Nigeria from these places? Whenever you dig around for information in Nigeria, what you’ll find will leave you stunned. Please, lets peacefully split along regional lines before we choke to death on sadness. Or, lets properly federate so that people can actually plan and manage things they can actually internally sustain. Now, factor in that majority of Nigerians living in Diaspora or frequent travelers originate from Southern Nigeria. How can it be that it took more than 50 years for an international airport to be built in Enugu, a region whose indigenous people are the highest number of frequent travelers in Nigeria? Even the one now in Enugu functions like a third class International airport. It is too much for a coincidence that a region with unarguably, the highest number of diasporans only got an international airport few years ago when places with lesser frequent travelers had airports scattered all over servicing almost no one for years.? How can this not make you reason right? Can you not see the structural marginalization? Will I still be a bigot when I raise these issues? Can we not separate bigots from truth bearers? Why would you tag me a bigot? Do you want me to see all these and keep quiet just to come of as detrbailized? Well, I cannot be your type of detribalized Nigerian. A slave shackle should not be likened to jewelry. Do you now see why I AM FOR UNITED STATES OF BIAFRA? http://radiobiafra.co/why-there-is-nnamdi-kanu-dukobulzaa imhotep. Now we can see why those who fought the civil war and looted Nigeria thereafter are criminally silent over this predicament. The Fulanis claim that Allah gave them our ancestral land to graze. It is clear who the Allah is… Gen. Yakubu Gowon is the Allah that gave our land to the Fulanis. The fact staring us in the face now is that the federal government cannot and will not protect us. Unless we resist this as one robbed people these vampires will suck us dry. They are brutes and experts in fiendish diplomacy, so dialoguing with them or making any pact with them is a waste of time. They understand one language, violence, brute force, like the vampires if you do not overwhelm them with brute force they will never stop coming. Arise people of Nigeria and resist this slavery Gowon signed us into. As for those who felt they defeated Biafra, how far? As for those clamouring for true federalism or restructuring, none will solve this problem. The only solution is to kill Nigeria. Total disintegration will resolve this nonsense as each nation will make its own laws and protect its territorial integrity. LiberaDeum |
Politics › Fulani Herdsmen: Reasons Why Former General Yakubu Gowon Is Tongue-tied by OnyeOGA(op): 9:10pm On Mar 23, 2018 |
The menace of Fulani herdsmen which if not checked would lead to a second civil war in Nigeria should be put into proper perspective. Many are bewildered by the orgy of blood being enjoyed by the Fulani and the federal government in Nigeria. The callousness, the brazen audacity to violate people’s lives and ancestral homes just to graze the cows have forced many to dig into history to find out who these Fulanis are, but this post is not about who they are but about why they have the audacity to carry out such open attacks on people and communities. It must be noted that nothing on earth justifies such attacks, but let me lead you into the window of the cause. THE THREE CARDINAL SINS OF GEN. GOWON In 1967, He thought he could invade Enugu, arrest Ojukwu and place him on trial. A mission he could not accomplish in 3 three years. As soon as Gowon realized that Gen. Ojukwu and his boys were not smiling or easy to conquer, Gowon committed 3 crimes against Nigerians just to win the war. These are the sins of Gowon that are affecting Nigerians today. 1. THE GODOGODO Gowon and his supreme military council thought it would be easy to walk over Biafra and capture Ojukwu so they decided to launch attack on Enugu to capture Ojukwu. That attempt met with stiff resistance from unarmed youths to the surprise of Gowon and his army. Mauritala, that beast and a bigot in his zealousness made 2 attempts to take over Onitsha but was successfully stopped by Ojukwu soldiers. This frustration led to a quick fix that would lead to the worst pact with the devil himself. In other to aid the federal army, Mauritala Mohammed convinced Gowon to bring the foreign militias called the godogodo people to fight Biafra. Those who lived or witnessed and or fought in the civil war are not strange to the atrocities of these people. They were heartless militias paid to kill and praised for their ruthlessness. Although the Godogodo people were not trained professional regular soldiers, their duty was to do the military’s dirty job. Massacre civilians, rape and slaughter the already conquered people with hatchet, axe and other dangerous instruments. They are also experts in torture. Anywhere the federal troop’s conquered, they will bring the godogodo people to finish off the civilians. So in some instances the civilians were warned to flee the cities before the godogodo people would arrive. These Godogodo people were not repatriated after the civil war. Most of them settled in northern Nigeria. The government lost control of them. It is the same Godogodo militias that constitute today’s Fulani herdsmen terrorist group. Those in the east who witnessed the war will testify about the Godogodo people named after a village in Kaduna of today. So The Fulani herdsmen are the offshoot or the continuation of the Godogodo people Gowon brought to Nigeria to kill Biafrans. Today they have become the errant virus that eats what it was supposed to protect. 2. Months into the war, Gowon saw that Biafra could not be conquered unless Port Harcourt fell into federal hands, so he went into pact with the president of Cameron. In the pact, Gowon pledged Bakassi peninsula in exchange if Cameron allowed Nigeria to use its sea route to get to Port Harcourt. We are all aware of how many innocent people that died since the war ended because of this pact. Today the entire people of Bakassi are displaced and no one is talking about them. 3. THE GRAZING ROUTE. When Gowon and his military found out that Biafra is not a pushover, he entered into another contract. This time he went to Niger for the help of the Arabs in Africa. In other for Chad and Niger to give the federal government the help they sought, Niger and its allies, Benin republic and Chad Fulanis stated their conditions. That condition was to grant to the Fulani nomads a grazing route from Niger to the Eastern Nigeria. Again Gowon without brains accepted this demand and signed off the arable land of Nigeria to the Fulanis for grazing. Now if you have been listening or reading what the leaders of Miyatti Allah have been saying you would notice one constant claim. They insist that there is international document that granted them grazing route from Niger to Eastern Nigeria. Of all those banning the open grazing, no one has challenged this claim. Did such document exist? Who are the signatories? Was it rectified after the war in which Gown and the supreme military council was in charge for 6 years after the war? Lzaa imhotep |
