I absolutely love Goapele!!!! She is like my idol. My mom bought me these earrings that are similar to hers which I absolutely adore and let no one borrow.

She is just a free spirit and optimistic and just herself.

I don't know how many times I have went out with my mother to buy gifts for the workers in my Dad's office and what does he get back you ask?? Lawd have mercy.

Oka each year he buys five gifts. Three out of those five are to Nigerians of different tribes. {Igbo, Yoruba, and Edo} And the other two go to one Philippine and one White.

The by far best gifts definitely comes from the White man. This year he gave my father this beautiful quilt his wife made.

Then comes the Philippine man who always gives cooking utensils which I don't mind. He gave my father a steel wok. Which my mother absolutely loves because it is perfect for fried rice.

Now the Nigerians.  *sigh* *deep breath* You know sometimes these people act as if they can't afford simple Hallmark Card. Sometimes they give my father a mug or something worthless that get stashed in some cabinet.

I'm not saying that you know it is all about the quality but the thought put behind it.

you thinks crap sells?
What a load of hogwash. . . . what you deem as crap doesn't necessarily mean it won't sell.
For example, Phat Girls. That movie was absolute crap but sold in the millions.

Spike Lee is truely an amazing Director. I mean from "Do the Right thing" to "School Daze". Don't forget "Jungle Fever" "Mo' Betta Blues". And is best movie I think is "Malcolm X" with Denzel Washington.

GINI!!!! I absolutely love Spike Lee movies.  I have tried to atleast see all his big and small productions once.  They are very moving.

Not to mention one of my favorite movies is New Jack City. Mayne o Mayne is that the movie to see. It has it all include. The romance, action, deceit, and not to forget the violence. I loved it.

Wale E was boring as hell. For like the first half hour, no body was talking so I slumbered of.  I only went to see the movie cause of my baby cousins, other than that, it was really BORING.

KarmaMod:
Oyinye, don't make me puke
Hehehehehe. . . . . Titanic is the best. Not even the Passion of Christ (God forgive me) can compare. You certainly can't watch a movie with me cause I'm into those romance movies like a addict with crack.  I have seen The Notebook like over 32 times and it still has the same effect like it did in the beginning.

The Titanic is the Best movie ever, then comes Passion of Christ. And maybe The Last King of Scotland.
TV/MoviesRe: Time's Top 10 Movies of 2008 by onyinye2(f): 1:52am On Dec 21, 2008
Titanic is Number 1 in my book. I have seen that movie over 57 times and counting. My favorite part of the movie is when at the end the two lover rejoin eachother.  Just puts the icing on the cake. I swear I go through a box of tissues over that movie. It is absolutely the upmost best. I have seen it in english and spanish.

This explains ALOT!!! So much that I'm typing in a frenzy. Yep Yep Yep. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. Well you see. . . . Nigerian men and medical wives are like mineral oil and natural hair. . . . they aint supposed to be with eachother. Or even stay in the same area.

@ Karmamod, That is my fear 'he will kill you'
When I lay on the floor gasping for breath as i recovered from the blow he stood over me and told me, if I did it again (He'd been calling mr names in front of the kids and I spoke back) he would kill me! That was it, I aint never looking back, I will do all I need to to keep me and the kids out of his nasty way. The police came and interviewed me and went through all I have been through over last 2 years and at the end the police guy said he was a control freak and advises me never to see him again as he has seen things like this so many times turn very bad. I don't need be told twice, no matter how much I love him my kids rely on me to look after them, to have him back puts us all at risk and I will not do that.
Thank God you are sensible. I have seen so many cases with Nigerian men being abusive. Esp. the ones where the wife makes a bigger income so they stupid idiotic not worth the scum on a bear claw waste of sperm and lizard eggs self see that they must some how "make up" for the fake they are not the breadwinner.

Men are really the weakest creatures of/on earth when it comes to mental/emotional things.
