Based on your premise, I expect you to champion our oduduwa agenda but you mentioned ipob more. what is the connection between ipob and our agenda? tomorrow if we say we could care less about Biafra it will look like we are not a straightforward people. |
Yobabad:pls you guys should always pray for our people. something is wrong with our youths. |
ouch! our only city? |
when are my people going to protest? |
my people, why don't we stop rape, ritual and scam? |

we are trying our best as a people but never to be compared to ibos. They own nollywood, dominate sports, business and control a large chunk of music the industry including gospel. There is no need to sound defensive about it. There is no other city one can describe as an entertainment hub here in the west outside Lagos. But in the east, you have Enugu, Owerri, portharcout, Asaba ,Onitsha etc The Lagos I love to reference is half dominated by Ibos and a lot of our people who are doing well in Lagos were inspired by those ibos who live there. Imagine trading and business without them. Most of the brands that that represent our country positively are owned by them. I don't watch the Big brother show but we all know most people who spice it up and eventually win it are ibos, most sponsors are also ibos, most invited celebrities are ibos. ahh! I once asked my self if they remove our people in the entire BB naija stuff, this show would go on well. I repeat remove them and remove the glory of naija. we know it, let's stop sounding defensive about it. |
This could be true after all. |
The section of the mainstream media owned by our people is actually few like the nations, tribune and tvc etc but the difference is that they are owned by alleged corrupt Sw politicians projecting our yoruba ethnic interest unlike Ibo nollywood producers/businessmen whose interest is to make profit. Nonetheless, You hardly see any of those their mainstream nollywood movies glorifying Nigeria as a country and showing our flag like Hollywood does for America. I feel to them, that passes their message that they are not happy being called Nigerians. my opinion though |

Shooyie:when he went to Washington to defend their administration against Christian genocide allegations didn't he know he wasn't in charge of security? bro let's stop defending absurdity. |
ours is a failed state |
Iamgrey5:something is happening. |
I know Ibos are the only genuine businessmen in Nigeria. Otedola once ceased to be a billionaire because naira fell following recession. our brother Obj once told our sister folorunsho alakija "I made you a billionaire' which means she became a billionaire by govt favour not hardworking. Adenuga our brother is also an IBB front Dangote enjoys monopoly Ibos are doing it alone almost dominating every sector through hardwork. They're gifted and must be given credit for that. |
blasted12:the news is legit. |
why are we so disturbed? |
spinna:but the people who wrote this release are our people not our enemies. |
our Christians won't take this. |
no aerial view? |
Many of our politicians are married to ibo women. It simply means that as times goes on Ibo in-road into our corridors of power here in yorubaland will expand. Go to Lagos, most high clout Yoruba MDs, academicians and few and few successful businessmen have half ibo children. The worst is most of the children refuse to identify as omoluabi. they'll say they are half ibo. some will even say they are Ibos with Yoruba fathers. Most are loyal to Ibos instead of we their supposed brothers. Imagine a future were half Ibos or people who secretly identify as Ibos like desmond eliott will steer our affairs. omo I fear o. |
The one that makes me cry is the fact that our future ruling class will all have Ibo blood considering how our high and mighty marry Ibo girls. our leaders in future could end up becoming their mole. |
I'm a Yoruba person but it makes sense to me. |
when he joined without certificate |
fk001:why do we think about Ibos more than ourselves as Yoruba's? |
Anazp:Maybe it's because we think about Ibos more than we think about our tribe. Oluwo and deji fight around, ooni in my state marries around, Oba of Lagos talks around uncontrollably, alaafin bleach around etc in fact we now have baales and oba in every family here in yorubaland. These these are the problems I want us to solve. How we should work harmoniously with our royal fathers to end the scourge of ritual and poverty in our region instead sleeping and waking up thinking only about Ibos. A research came out a month ago linking our ancestors to apes. We should research independently either to validate or denounce the theory. |
ebuka1997:yes. it a sponsored advert. |
A thread made FP some months ago wherein it was claimed our ancestors descended from apes. I don't know how true. |
virtual VP. He's our son but I'm disappointed. |
