Just because you say so doesnt make it so. You have to prove with verifiable information that this is Langbasa. We are in information age and computer and smart phones have been in use for about 2 decades and longer so you ought to know by now how to collect information, present and support it with facts. Politics / Re: Ikoyi-gate: US Dollar Bills Recovered Had A Print Date Of 2016 by OPCNAIRALAND: 1:09pm On Apr 18, 2017
BlowBack:

Magu will dare not tender the seize notes in any court of law as the bills can easily be traced to the CBN where they were gotten directly from.

Secondly, the mint notes have a print date of 2016 on all of them.

This money was part of statutory forex transfers into the country from oil sales by the CBN.

The monies were originally from CBN vaults which only the Aso Rock cabal, Buhari's family members and crooked APC ministers had direct access to.

Correct! There is no way such huge amount of currency in crisp notes and authenticated in records could ever move without knowledge of the banking channel. The rate at which EFCC is discovering large volume of currencies in private holds, our commercial banks face risks of liquidation.

CBN needs to invoke a protective order and protect banks and people investments and savings.

In a case such as this with such large amount of dollar, US, because its their currency, would be apprehensive and would already have sent down investigators and analyst, outside of public knowledge, to do forensic analysis on the notes and vouch them genuine and verify they are serialised in mint record.

If these were dollars minted in parallel markets, that is $43m of potential weapon that could do substantial damage in a capital market, if....only if...successfully smuggled into an American city.

They are not unaware of currency terrorism.

What I mean by calling it village is because you cannot compare the development there with that of Lekki/VI/Ikoyi etc. Like as I said Epe is fast developing now because of the pressure from Lekki and VI.

Thanks for clarifying.

I have travelled to the East via Lekki-Epe road. Epe is still more or less a village though it is developing fast with buildings coming up due to the effect of Lekki. Epe and Gbagada cannot be considered as core of Lagos because they are both at the periphery of the state.

You dont know what a village is. Epe was urbanized as far back as 1855. Gbagada is what is called "URBAN SPREAD", it is not a village.

Yorubas don't put Oba in village. Consider the etymology and cognates between OBA and URBAN.

You are really dumb. Wetin concern me with the 33 villages? I am only interested in the Awka metropolis. Epe, Gbagada etc are all villages surrounding Lagos but the same way we have those villages here. Whether you want to accept it or not, Anambra has the best road networks in Nigeria and we can do picture comparison with your state if you are game. I am not given to talking too much but I believe in photo display. Stop blabbing and let us start the picture comparison, maybe by the time we are done you would have disappeared in shame. Oya..

When is Epe and Gbagada a village?

Anambra that half your roads have sunk into gulley, you say have best road network...in where?

Thats the mindset of these people. They believe our opposition to them is an opposition to their Allah. They are convinced Allah ordained them to lead and subdue non-believers and for doing just that they are continously blessed with rewards of the oil and everything else. Their creed is rooted in the belief that if they stopped exercising leadership over others then others must exercise leadeship over them and thus they might offend Allah and face an anguish greater than they have capacity to bear. There is no lie this way they reason and reassure each other when meeting to discuss national politics.

Crime / Re: Daughter Of Traditional Ruler In Bauchi By Suspected Ritualists (Graphic Photo) by OPCNAIRALAND: 6:37am On Apr 18, 2017
May her soul rest in peace!

It is said that back in 1984, in the time of Buhari and Idiagbon a law was issued that punished convicted drug barons with death penalty. The highpoint of the penalty is that the convict is executed right infront of his or her family house. Not only is the criminal wasted but the dignity and name of the family is tarnished in the community forever. The goal is that family with name and dignity to protect will be the first to act in reprimanding their children and wards against drug related crimes and offenses.

In trying to be politically correct, a few bad elements have gained notoriety at our collective expense and become landlords in the community, they flash and weave and bling and we on our part hail and ackowledge their fame, never for once questioning the legality and substance of their sudden rise and acquisition into wealth.

An innocent child like this girl has been butchered and decapitated and dismembered for a ritual into the dark side.

Not every one of these rituals result in a rewarding outcome but not every drug carrier is caught by Indonesian customs either, there are still those that make it through successfully. For these criminals that use humans for their selfish needs, some are similarly convinced that out of three or five murders they might succeed hitting jackpot with one. Can you imagine the depth of their cruel mind and how twisted their thoughts are!

So I am pleading this early morning, on the innocent soul of this little girl that someone please pass this message, who have access to the Presidency, share with the Legislature, circulate to the Judiciary, send copies to the BBOG Movement, put in hands of State Governors, we need all voices of every ethnic, every gender, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, if we ever find a national consensus in anything let this be it, if we find commonality of purpose in any cause let this be the trigger... We, the dignified and responsible members of society must take our communities back from those that prey on little children, whether for rituals or for sex.

We must call for the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary to fast track a bill to be passed into law for perpetrators of atrocities like this to face firing squad and their execution must occur right at the door step of their family home.

Such law, when passed, should be named in memory of this innocent child.

Again, may God rest her soul in peace.

By the glory of the powerful sun when it shines forth and reveal that which was before hidden from sight, may the light of day reveal into open those in whose posession this girls sight was taken, Ase!

May these words spread far and wide...!

He later made me the military administrator of Aba providence. I went to Aba because Ngwa people were eating human beings. Yes! I am saying this because I want to prepare the minds of my readers on what I am about to say; to what is going to come. I am going to advise our people against a lot of things they are doing.

They have not sought my advice but I am going to give it to them without asking for any gain. I went to Aba to stop cannibalism, eating of human beings, it is just as bad as our people here today kidnapping our own people.

When a housewife is murdered the first suspect is always the husband. Why? Because by tracking "cause and effect" intimately tied to the victim you can quickly narrow events and unfold the mystery before a case goes cold. This is a standard approach in solving murder mysteries.

This Adam case is past cold, it is chilled, I pray justice is found for the boy but it doesnt appear so because detectives and specialists jumped to pre-emptive conclusions and followed a curve to nowhere. The investigation should have started in the family, rather they focused on Osun, the deity of fertility and childbirth. What a bungle!

Contrast that with the case of a Ibo that destroyed the womb that gave life to him, then collected her blood for rituals. A great abomination of the first order!

Politics / Re: Ohaneze Unveils Biafra Land 50 Year Development Plan by OPCNAIRALAND: 11:46pm On Apr 02, 2017
Youngadvocate:
THE President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, Saturday, presided over a meeting of prominent Igbo leaders in a bid to produce a 50- year development plan for Ndigbo.

The Igbo leaders converged on the sleepy and serene Gregory University, Uturu, Abia State, which serves as the headquarters of the World Igbo Summit Group, WISG, under the auspices of the Igbo Leaders, Elders and Collectives. Among other issues, the meeting brainstormed on how to kick-start the implementation of the resolutions adopted during the last summit of the World Igbo, WISG, on the 50-year development plan.

The resolutions addressed an all-encompassing development plan that would cover economic, political, cultural, educational as well as proper mentoring of the youths. Proper mentoring of the youths Among those present at the occasion were the former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, Chief Ike Nwachukwu, Chief Achuzie, former Governor of the Central Bank, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Prof. Joe Irukwu, Prof. George Obiozor and Dr. Greg Ibe. Others included a former Minister of Health, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu, the former Economic Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr Osita Ogbu, Mrs. Josephine Aneni, Prof Viola Onwuliri, Dr Ifedi Okwenna, Mrs. Chidinma Uwajumogu and Prof. Ihechukwu Madubuike as well as several traditional rulers and professionals in various walks of life among others.

The Ndigbo Development Plan 2066 is aimed at comprehensively tackling the development of Igbo land and would entail persuading Igbo entrepreneurs and investors all over the country and in Diaspora to think-home by bringing part of their investments and wealth home to ensure a prosperous home land.

It was a collective opinion of all the speakers that Ndigbo have had enough talks over the problems bedevilling the race even as it was now time for collective action. Addressing the meeting, the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Achebe canvassed for strategic system that would propel the development of future leaders for Ndigbo to effectively execute the 50 year vision programme.

President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo adressing the summit. “We should start implementation, not just talking; we need good leaders to carry on with the programme. Nnamdi Kanu has a vision and he has the courage to ask questions on why an Igbo person is institutionally disadvantaged in the country.

Let us not be ashamed of it, we are all Biafrans in spirit.

We have to create opportunity for our youths to rise,” Achebe said further suggesting that a committee be established to kick-start the 50 -year development agenda.

Also speaking, Prof Soludo suggested the formation of Ohanaeze youth wings in all tertiary institutions in Igbo land saying it would help to inculcate the spirit of Ndigbo as well as help them key into the plan. Soludo said that the vision if well executed would not only ensure a prosperous homeland for the Igbo adding that “economic power is permanent while political power is ephemeral.”

Gen Ike Nwachukwu retd; Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, Col. Joe Achuzia and Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife. Earlier, the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nwodo, urged Ndigbo to be more diplomatic in pursuing their causes even as he warned against pushing Ndigbo to the wall.

“I am here to encourage the people that have been doing this good work. There was a time Ohanaeze was lagging behind which led some patriotic Igbo to form some groups. At the last count, I have 48 groups. For me it is a good thing. We will encourage them to work with the Standing Committee of Ohanaeze so that their ideas would be harnessed for the good of Ndigbo.

“Since I was elected, I have been going round and talking to our people on the need to be one and speak with one voice which would give us greater strength. We will also be tactful and diplomatic in pursuing our cause, we should not be violent. But Igbo should not be pushed to the wall. These were a people given 20 Pounds after the civil war. We went to Lagos empty handed but today we have factories there; Igbo investment in Lagos is huge; half of the buildings in Abuja are owned by Ndigbo, we want them to bring some of them home,” Nwodo said.

Job-for-jobseekers He announced that he had reconciled the South East governors who had resumed their meetings as well as promised to make it regular. He also said he had visited Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and would soon visit Governor Okowa of Delta State in an effort to bring together all Igbo in every state.

“Ohanaeze of today is not Ohanaeze of the past. The Ohanaeze you have today is not Ohanaeze of job-for-job-seekers. The leaders now are tested people whom you should trust. Development of Igbo land is the job for everybody,” he added. Nwodo also condemned the militarization of Igbo land with the attendant mounting of road blocks and extortion of money from motorists, saying he had gone round and did not see such in any other Geopolitical Zone.

Thanks for your response.

[s]Your response shows you have also observed the HATE coming out from your corner of Nigeria; however, the only contention you have is that you think it's a reactionary human nature from your people...according to you because of Igbos' ambition of turning Lagos into a non-Yoruba state hence, you think Igbos deserve all the HATE from your corner of Nigeria.

@fratermathy & others; kindly take note.

Let's address this Igbos ambition of turning Lagos into a non-Yoruba state.

When has Igbos ever voted against Yoruba interest in Lagos State?

I can only remember 2015, if you have contrary evidence please provide it.

Before we look into Igbos desires/ambition in 2015, let's review events of 2013 with respects to the Anambra State governorship elections where Ngige contested under the banner of ACN.

We all saw how ACN and your leaders tried to force Ngige on Anambra in 2013/2014; and when Ngige got defeated, we all saw how ACN and your leaders went on media blitz blasting Igbos for their political choice on TVC, Channels TV SunRise programme & AIT Focus Nigeria...calling us all manner of names and telling us how Ngige was the best Ijebu garri in town. How can people in SW Nigeria know what's best for people in Anambra?

That silly acts of 2013/2014 was what triggered the political consciousness of Igbos in 2015, and we all saw people threatening Igbos with the Lagoon and all what not for exercising our constitutionally guaranteed rights. Igbos are not trees, they are bound to respond...

Have you also noticed how your leaders are always the very first to play dirty politics and when the other parties have finished learning work and starts displaying their new skills, you/your leaders will start shouting nonsense.

We all saw how APC/Lai Mohammed lied bare-face lies and pushed-out HATEFUL narratives in the build-up to 2015 elections, after elections and even as at today...yet, you will never see that cause LIKE I SAID BEFORE, YOUR PARENTS HAVE TAUGHT YOU PEOPLE TO PILE-UP HATE TOWARDS IGBOs as a NATURAL ORDER; hence, you don't understand why IPOB is changing the natural flow of HATE.

Back to the HATE propagated through the use of movies.

Please go and check the YEARS OF PRODUCTION OF MOST 'REDEEMED' 'church/christian' movies; afterwards, come back and tell us how Igbos were ascertaining their political influence in Lagos as far as mid/late 1990s & early 2000s that most of those useless HATEFUL Movies were made.
Also, find a new NARRATIVE of how IGBOs deserves such UNCOUNTABLE QUANTUM AMOUNT OF HATE from your people on media cause this 'your how Igbos deserves it' is dead already; yet, in all this, the NIGERIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION allowed it all to air and go into circulations.

For the records, the amount of HATE in Nigeria (and ANTI-IGBO SENTIMENTS) didn't start recently, it's has always been there as a NIGERIAN STATE policy since 1970 and some sections of Nigeria simply latched-onto to the NIGERIAN 'HATEFUL' STATE POLICIES to propagate their HATE TOWARDS IGBOs to their heart content for 50+ years; guess what, IGBOs endured all these HATE given that them/their PARENTS LOST A WAR.

The question then is, "For How Long Will all These HATE go Unchallenged"?

What's NEW in Nigeria is that the young Igbos are saying ENOUGH is ENOUGH to the one-sided HATE.

The Internet & Social Media gave Igbos a platform, in the recent past, to challenge the UNCOUNTABLE QUANTUM AMOUNT OF HATE coming out from a section of Nigeria and your people CAN'T HANDLE WHAT YOU/YOUR PARENTS have been dishing out these past 50+ years to Igbos.

[/s]

I dont have time for your wailing. The ethnic struggle in Nigeria is competition for political supremacy. You loose some, you gain some.

If Yoruba block your gains its not because of hatred, devise a way to outsmart Yoruba next time. Stop the whining and complain, and if outsmarting Yoruba is not possible then accept your losses, and if thats still unbearable then separate from Yoruba completely.

You cannot evangelize for biafran referendum with mouth but everyday pack your people into bus and wagons and migrate out of biafra into Yorubaland....that's self-hate, and that's the root of your many problems .....but you mis-diagnosed it a Yoruba hatred!

80% of Yuroba radio presenters particularly on Smooth FM & Classic FM go live on air to deride and make mockery of Igbos and their way of live on live radio consistently. They didn't start doing that today...They young ones learnt the HATE from their parents who taught them that is was OK to pile up HATE on Igbos, hence, they see such nonsense as a way of life. When we point out these HATE to them, they see it as we being too sensitive...
This is the reason an Oba threatened the Igbo Nation, APC chairman called the Igbo Nation "Political Immature People", Buhari promised Igbos 5% rule, plus others. To them, it's not HATE...It's just a way of life.
Did you also noticed how some people came here to defend such nonsense...Cause HATING Igbos for the past 50+ years has always been a Nigerian State policy. To all of them, it's a WAY OF LIFE, SO THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IPOB IS DISHING IT BACK TO THEM.
TO THEM, IT'S NOT THE NATURAL COURSE. THEY CAN'T HANDLE WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN DISHING TO IGBOs FOR THIS PAST 50+ YEARS AND MORE.

Check most Nollywood movies produced by Yoruba producers and see how they portray Igbos and Igbo families in their movies...
Check "Lekki Wives" and see how they portray Igbos and Igbo families in their TV production.
Check most movie production by 'Redeemed' and see the HATEFUL ways they constantly portray Igbos and Igbo families, yet, their GO will allow such HATE in his media only to come out to the public putting his face like the most righteous man on earth. But their heart are all filled with HATE.

@KhSteel,
Im responding here because you included Yoruba in your broad brush accusations of anti-Ibo sentiments across the country. Apparently it suits you to attribute hatred as the causative that makes Ibo subject of ridicule in Yoruba society. You don't believe its deserving, inspite the ambition of your people to turn Lagos into a non-Yoruba state. Were you expecting a sponsorship from us?

President Boni yaya :- I am yoruba

President of Benin Republic, Dr Thomas Boni Yayi, on Saturday shocked prominent Yoruba Obas and leaders when he announced in impeccable Yoruba language at Ile-Ife that he was happy to be back home.

Yayi, who was in Ile-Ife to receive an honorary doctorate degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University and a chieftaincy title from the Ooni of Ife, said he was happy to be where his story started.

"Kabiyesi, my being here today is home-coming. It is the water that weaned me that I have come to see. It is the breast that I sucked that I have come to behold. Just continue to pray for me, your son who is the President of Benin Republic," he told the Ooni after he was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Sooko Adimula Obaninuola of Ife.
Yayi, who is from the Yoruba-speaking part of Benin Republic, told his audience which included Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Afenifere leaders - Chiefs Reuben Fasoranti and Ayo Adebanjo – and the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji AbdulMumini Kabir Usman, that his country and Nigeria were inseparable brothers.

"Nigeria and Benin share the same culture, people and history. Indeed, Benin is Nigeria's 37th state while Nigeria is Benin's 7th department," he said.

He added that he was happy that the regional integration started by former President Olusegun Obasanjo was being continued by the Umaru Yar’Adua administration.
He was accompanied by over ten Yoruba Obas from Benin Republic.

Most of you know me I don't hide my feeling. You can hate me as you wish but the more I shine.

We all have read the cook up lies by shameless Yoruba Christian called Fani Kayode concerning the ILe Ifes Yoruba genocide on innocent Hausa Traders at Sabo Area in Ife of Osun State. You can read here https://www.nairaland.com/3685797/hausa-fulani-yoruba-slaughter-ile

In his words:

1. The woman was molested to the point of death: Fani and his hypocrite on Nairaland this is pictorial world give us proof. The woman is still battling with her live. Snap her point of death injuries let's see.

2. The husband was stab to the point of death according to FFK - Show us your proof. Is he not alive? Snap the injuries that almost cause his life.

3. The Hausa's beheaded a young Yoruba man and parade the street with his head on a pole for all to see: Mr FFK and none of you snap the picture of the beheaded head.

Mr hypocrite we all have seen the graphic images of how your people murdered innocent Hausa's and celebrated the genocide on social platforms claiming heros. Instead of you to calm the situation, you're fueling the burning fire with that red substance in your buccal cavity to blame the Hausas for your own atrocities (killing).

Your Nairaland Sympathizers claim victory and at the same play victims. Double Standard.

Hypocrisy is when the Yoruba media can snap the dead bodies of innocent murdered Hausas, but fail to snap a single picture of the so called beheaded Yoruba man with his head hanging on the pole.

Am calling on DSS or SSS or any other security agencies to arrest FFK until he is able to prove those point he raised which are detriment to the peaceful and coexistence of the Nigerian populace.

This is my stand and stand of all well meaning Nigerians except the usual hypocrite. I wonder what this man would have said if the reverse of the case had happen in the north. And not only him but the hypocrite media in general. They will be on top of their voices politicizing it

" Buhari has not condemn it because his brothers are involve and they have his support " Has Buhari condemn it now?

Dr. Obi Bring Back Our Girl will have speak, Reno also and other southern Christian. This thread will serve a record about this unforgiving hypocrisy.

Dude, please let bygone be bygone. You know I respect Hausa people and I have many of them and fulani as friends. When a tragedy befalls them they dont howl much on it they resign to it as the wish of Allah. So this incidence in Ile Ife is the wish of Allah. Let it go, please my brother. Leave it alone. Every ethnic group in Nigeria at one time or the other have been victim of ethnic clash. Why is it when Hausa suffer casualty the law must change?

Swallow it. What ffk reported is true. No one coukd take picture because the situation was volatile and everybody scattered. Thats why, otherwise you will see picture. If you notice the Hausa bodies were taken after everything calmed.

This is the wish of Allah. Shikena

I read it in entirety! Your input is thoroughly precise in identifying the root problem. In the attached, a letter written 1913 to share with Director of Railways that placing Yoruba as head of Hausa gangs (work crew) is resented by the latter and they desert the job.

Compare this with what Sheik Jingir said yesterday to the effect, in the event Buhari dies in office a new election must hold because his statutory successor, VP Osinbajo, Presiding over the country is unacceptable.

What you correctly outlined, Sir, manifests itself in many flavors on the political scene. The counter-action is well addresed with the remedies you proposed.
