AntiWailer:It's not a question of religion... I'm a Muslim too but i don't wear bomb neither do i carry firearms... |
poshestmina:Do you blame them? I cannot define there problems. These people don't know what is right or wrong, they don't understand what morality is, they don't know what humanity is all about. These are people with very little or no education. They are easily brainwashed. All it takes is for those Godforsaken extremist to misinterpret one surah of the holy book to their hears, they are good to go. |
Frank Nweke Jnr I believe... |
Naive Minds...Perhaps rain fell on the statue. |

However, in Jurisprudence which is the philosophy of law, there is a theory that gives justification for going into war and this is in conformity with both the legal and natural law. It is called the Just War Theory from which we also have 1. Justice in war and 2. Justice for war. Try read it up |
What do you call this, innovation, invention, creativity? Several years after the oyinbos built theirs with perfection. Some people here build shit year in year out even when they have perfect ones to copy from yet we celebrate it. |
Ajimobi has lost popularity in Oyo state, he does nothing but stay in his Oluyole palace. You don't hear anything about/from him, not on the radio, TV, newspapers. |
Mr Gov for don taste them all. Mind you na those profs knack pass |
nwaanambra1:I'm sure those guys didn't follow him from where he was coming from. It is possible they were hired by the organisers of the show or they joined his convoy at the entrance of the town. They know his worth and all they want is their own settlement. Don't blame them. |
adajiboyy:it is better when the media don't report the wrecks and havoc caused by insurgents/terrorist. It weakens them. They gain momentum when they read or hear about their own evil in the media, they push hard to commit more so as to be considered relevant. |
Cooked up story, I do not in anyway support the Shiite movement or its ideology but I believe the plan to silent and destroy these people is just out if and uncalled for. Whoever has planned to destroy them is in real business with them. These are weapons recovered from dead and mortally wounded persons? Brand new cutlasses? God is watching. |
A lot people here paint IB as one uncivilized and backward city like that. You all will have to come down here to see the good things happening in the second largest city in the sub sahara region. Back to the faulty/unverified claim that the wedding took place in IB. Na lie. A big, fat, white lie at that. It never did. This is not IB shoprite, not the one at heritage mall and not the one at the palms. Maybe it is now a new one under construction sha i can't tell. Neither of the two shoprite outlet in IB has a setting like that. Get your facts right next time op before you mislead innocent people. |
OAU management tried Sha,i trust my Unibadan it won't even get to this stage before those bearded cultist face the almighty SDC. LET PEACE REIGN |
Grecian? heard of that. |
I wonder why people are just so tribalistic here, I believe this is an avenue to address pressing issues affecting the growth and the development of the nation and us as individuals in the state. It is high time we get our priorities right, rather than posting tribalistic comments and being apologetic to the plight of some political robbers, the same set that steal our wealth and rub it off faces. We should rise up to the challenges of the Nigerian state, let us rally round ourselves and speak with one voice in the language of truth. |

The exact story the media, the governor the police want us to hear. |
THE BASIS OF RESPONSIBLE CITIZENSHIP Fraternal relationship is not a form of sacrifice, that is, an individual giving up his rights or surrendering his privileges, although, the consequences of it may take these appearances. It actively depends on an accurate perception of individual worth and a projection and generalization of it to the other in the form of respect and sympathy. We see others in ourselves and see ourselves in others. This is the basis of responsible citizenship. If we accept the premises above, then it follows that fraternal relationship eddies up from the family and extends to numerous other groupings including but not limited to workgroup, village, cultural and social associations, political parties, labour unions, ethnic groups, neighbourhood association, cults, and religious group, among others. It forms the bonding force of identities. The capacity for violence and exploitation is proportional to the degree of fraternal relationship in a group. Those who express tribalism, religious hatred, and all forms of violence based on identities have issues with loss of fraternal relationship. In fact, any form of hatred or violence against others no matter how we feel justified about it is evident of degeneracy on our part, not a confirmation of guilt on the part of the victim. NEW IDENTITIES AND CITIZENSHIP Globalization and ICTs are creating new forms of identities and image of self. New forms of relationships are emerging, coupled with new definitions of community, changing expressions of fraternity and loyalty. Old orders on which social fabrics and identities are built are crumbling due to the blurring of private and public space, blurring of morality; wavering boundaries of loyalties and identity, shrinking of space and time. The endangerment and loss of language and culture is complicating the issue of identity. New and transcendental identities generated in form of new forms of religion and fundamentalism are overriding national loyalties, propagating ideologies without “higher thinking” and logic without rationality; humanity without dignity. In the face of global competition, virulent capitalism is redefining individual worth in terms of crass individualism, materialism and consumption. Democracy has assumed the force of legalizing exploitation and dominance of minorities. There is an energizing ideology and conception of morality. There are digital natives, culture communities, communities based on sexual orientation and a global convergence of youth aspirations driven by social media. There is a diminishing influence of geography in defining identity and a fading glory of patrimony in generating network of sociocultural relationships. How these may relate to, override or strengthen patrimony and primordial instincts are still blurred. Nevertheless, the blurring of boundaries and cultural norms of morality has been accentuated by social media to the extent that traditional taboos are no longer off limits. This may not be unconnected to the minimization of “costs” (psychological, social, cultural and economic) and the anonymity which the web provides for unhindered self-expression. The true nature of people are emerging with the minimization of the cost of being different, of capacity to express oneself without group approval. Gossips of yesterday are citizen journalists of today. Immoral conducts of the past makes one a glorified model of today. The body is no longer a sacred and exclusive possession but a product, merchandize for public bargaining or appreciation. The other issue is that laws and institutions tend to imbue identities with permanence (contrary to the dynamic nature of social formation processes), thereby limiting man’s capacity to respond to new realities, besides ascribing normative value to conservative elements and legitimizing claims of prebendalists, cultural entrepreneurs and status quo-opportunist to moral high ground. The bottom-line is that states end up with wrong premises for identity classification, or may sustain anachronistic divisions and in fact fail to be conscious of new identities thereby having within it citizens without status. Such citizens are the new internally displaced individuals in a sociocultural and legal sense. |
Good as it seem, you lack the moral justification to. You are thieve and you should be in prison, have your arm amputated or better still be killed publicly. |
Good invention but is the robot really working, or it is just another locally made toy with crude tools. |
Then it was Tania and Wiz, it is now Korede and Azira whatever. We take our time to celebrate our music, movie and the personalities behind these when they are more pressing issues like that of national development, ethics and morality in governance, deficit in leadership and a plethora of other social issues to be discussed. This is why we don't have a place in governance. |
