As long as the virus started from Lagos, it will circulate everywhere in Nigeria within a month. Coronavirus is coming for all of you wicked corrupt souls in government. We need a hero that will save this country, and maybe Coronavirus is the hero that will do the job very well. Ebola tried to be a hero, but couldn't do the job because it's not airborne. Maybe by the time Coronavirus is done, the one Nigeria scam will be over and every major tribe will forge ahead with their own country. |
SciLab:Because like Nigeria, they failed to do a compulsory quarantine of everyone coming into their country from infected countries. So the virus has already spread silently across their country and now they are just waking up when probably hundreds of thousands have been infected already. Same thing is happening in Nigeria. The virus is silently spreading while the government is still sleeping. The Italian carrier was already mingling with the rest of the population for 2 days before his case was noticed, not to mention the over hundred passengers on the same flight with him, and the other hundreds of other passengers that have used the plane after that. Not to mention the Uber driver that picked him up and the other passengers he has picked up after that before the virus was detected, and the families, friends and neighborhood all these people have exposed the virus too. Not to mention the carriers stay at the hotel, exposing other staff and customers to the virus, then his visit to ogun state, a cough here and there along the journey, at the location, mingling with other people there. And if you put a statistic to that, we are looking at around maybe over 100,000 people and counting have already been exposed to the virus, especially since it's an airborne contagion. Maybe by the time it gets into the national assembly and Aso Rock, the government will wake up. Either ways, Nigeria is f@!k*d, only God can save us now. And may God save his people from pestilence, like as in the days of Moses and David. And may the virus find it's way to evil kidnappers, killer fulani herdsmen, fulani jihadist killer bandits, boko, iswap, and all the evil criminals that have been destroying this country, and their sponsors and helpers in government. |
Bervelyhillz:You married the perfect wife. Stop disturbing yourself. You have no idea how blessed and fortunate you are. Or do you want a woman that will be driving you crazy every 5 minutes, which is what most women are. Yours is the rare exception. Thank your God and enjoy your life with your wife. |

CotenantNIG:How can hand washing kill a virus? We are talking virus here, not bacteria. If you like wash your hand with soap from now till eternity, it won't stop a viral infection, if you have been exposed to it. |
Davido is a real original Yoruba demon. The type they warn you about in movies |
kelvxyn:Same DJ Cuppy that be flirting with Broddashaggi? Smh, forget that she is a billionaire's daughter, this girl no get levels at all. If she wasn't a billionaire's daughter, she might be the community chick every Tom dick and Harry has sampled. It's her sister Temi that behaves exclusive. DJ Cuppy behaves like the kind of girl that falls easily for sweet mouth. She's too friendly. Don't mean it as an insult, no offense to her. She needs to tighten up a bit, no be everybody a woman suppose to dey play with. |
Netanya:Of course, it's very easy for a young very handsome billionaire to friendzone a billionaire's daughter. There's nothing she can intimidate him with. Na she dey rush am ![]() |
englishmart:Mr Oga, Anthony Joshua is a billionaire. He became a legit billionaire under 30 years old, even Otedola, and Otedola's father former governor, and all of them Otedola ancestors put together, none of them was a billionaire at under 30 years of age. You better put some solid respekt on the name of this man called AJ. What AJ has accomplished, very few can claim to walk in the same shoes ever! |
SniperSmurf:AJ will defeat him and become undisputed. Watch out and see |
Chingykay77:Don't mind the hater, he mocked AJ so bad after his 1st and only defeat, then he still mocked AJ after he re-claimed his belts, saying AJ didn't fight like someone that wanted revenge, that he was riding a bicycle all through the fight. But look at him now, his 0 has been taken away and now his mouth has turn to motivational speaker. Fury blows have reset his arrogant brain ![]() |
Sex enhancement drugs induce sustained increased blood flow, thereby causing high blood pressure, couple that with a stressful exercise like sex, na die be that. A living dog is better than a dead lion, and a living 1 minute man is better than a dead borehole digger. If you have the natural stamina, very good, but if you don't, don't kill yourself trying to be something your nature cannot handle. |
sarrki:Boko Haram don't attack their own people, if you know you know. Didn't Buhari visit that place and boko boys let him be? Only to warn him not to come again. Same boko haram that listed Buhari among those to negotiate for them with GEJ government. Let a SS, SW or SE governor try this in Borno, you will see Commando action film All these type of show can only deceive the gullible. Let a Christian Northern governor try this in any Boko theatre zones without any security and let's see if he will make it back alive |
rationalmind:No sir, it is not a broad way to compare, neither is it wrong. You compare full-size with full-size, mid-size with mid-size, compact with compact and so on. Just like you compare a 150cl Eva bottle water with a 150 cl Nestlé Bottle water, you compare sachet with sachet, you compare dispenser with dispenser, you compare 3 bedroom flat with 3 bedroom flat. You don't compare with price, 2 bedroom studio apartment in Banana island is more expensive than a 5 bedroom duplex in iyana ipaja, so going by price cannot give you a standard comparison. There's a reason car manufacturers themselves created all those different class for vehicles. You can't be comparing Escalade ESV to Rav4, different class, just like you can't compare under 17 eaglets to Super eagles. |
KINGreignn:Spoken like a true dummy. With this level of low IQ, I shouldn't be talking to you. A Benz owner welding ball joints, putting 1k fuel, buying used tyres, dumped car for 7 months etc are those not clearly an indication of a person that bought something he can't afford aka BROKE PERSON, and all that cutting corners just to meet up still proves my point that BENZ is not for BROKE PEOPLE. But in a bid to hurriedly condemn someone else as a fool, you just made a bigger fool of yourself. Please pray tell, I really want to know, and maybe other people here too will like to know, which Toyota brand new car will buy x2 a Mercedes-Benz brand new car in the same vehicle class. Is it a 2020 Rav4 that will buy two 2020 Benz GLE 350 or a 2020 Landcruiser that will buy two 2020 Benz GLS 63 AMG , or is it a 2020 avalon that will buy two 2020 S65 AMG? Please come prove this your point and if you can't prove it, you need to deactivate your account for this kind of abracadabra lie you're telling. The most expensive Toyota today is the brand new 2020 Land Cruiser VXR V8 costs less than $90k for full options, $90k that cannot even buy one brand new 2017 Benz E63 AMG, mtchewwwwwww! In Nigeria, people are buying brand new toyota's back to back like pure water, but how many people buy brand new Benz? Even the rich people, many of them buy low mileage tokunbo that the price has almost reduced by half already. Brand new 2019 Benz GLS63 AMG (same full-size SUV class with landcruiser) costs over $130k for full options (MSRP specs is $126k). Toyota can buy 2 Benz kee you dia, bloody liar! |
maynation:Ooiin, fantabulous Julynation, because April and May people are natural troublemakers na joke oh before someone here mentions me with me a "serious angry post" I won't answer |
rationalmind:You compare them because they both fall into the same class of cars = Mid-size sedans. You compare a c-class with a corolla because they're both compact sedans (all though for the old model c-class because the newer models c-class are now kind of mid-size too, no longer compact), and you compare like the Benz A-class to like hyundai i10, Toyota echo, yaris etc, because they all fall in the subcompact cars category. That's the basis of comparison, their manufacturer category class, NOT PRICE. |
maynation:When the iPhone 4 was made, what was the equivalent android available, maybe the symbian android, then maybe the java blackberry. They're all dead, but the iPhone 4 is still here, could be updated up to ios 7 or 8 I think, and in that era the iphone 4 was "bragging material" just like the V-boot in its era was bragging material etc. But nobody is talking bragging rights here, I don’t know why you have brought that up into this conversation or what exactly you're driving at with it. We're talking the everyday misconceptions about certain brands of cars like the Toyota and Benz etc. Every car manufacturer produces a car in a certain segment, and by so, different cars from different manufacturers fall in the same segment and certain models fall within the same group and this establishes the grounds for comparison. For example, you can't compare an S550 Benz sedan with a camry, even though they are both in the same segment (SEDAN), they are not in the same group or class. But you can compare an E350 Benz with maybe a camry or avalon. Now, it doesn't matter how you look at it or grade it, it doesn't matter which year you consider, let's even say 2001 model, a E350 model of that year is more luxurious than a camry same year, and in that same era the man driving that 2001 camry still falls under the broke people category. If only we had a time machine to go back in time, say, 2001, and let's see the kind of people that "EXCLUSIVELY" own the 2001 E350 compared to those that "exclusively " own the 2001 Camry. Check their thinking, it's the same kind of mindset with the Toyota buyers of today: 'does it chop fuel', 'shey the parts full market', 'can baba Kazeem repair it' etc. But check out those buying benz, their mindset is how many HP on this baby, can it go 0 - 100 in 6 secs, what kind of tech is inside etc. And that's how rich people think when buying cars, they think LUXURY and Performance to guide their choice. But BROKE PEOPLE think fuel efficiency and maintenance costs as their deciding factor in buying a car. And that's why I said before that "MOST" people that own Toyotas and Hondas fall in the broke people category. It's not an insult, it's just an intelligent observation about consistent human behavior. |
BigJoe19:No need for emotional outbursts please. We're just having a normal conversation, and there's plenty of sense in what I said for those that have enough sense to properly interpret it. There are many people that own the iPhone XS Max that still use one cheap small phone like itel or even Nokia 3310 on the side, doesn't change the fact of who they are. They are not in the BROKE PEOPLE category. Because the average person buying iPhone XS Max is buying what they love, not buying after ticking through 1000 factor point or reasons why it is economical to buy it or whether it can talk to Jesus directly for it to be worth the amount it's been sold. But you see those using them techo, infinix etc androids, BROKE PEOPLE. No offense oh, i'm not insulting anyone, i'm not Bill Gates or Dangote. Being a RICH PERSON goes beyond having plenty money in your account. Being a rich person is a way of thinking, a way of life, people that are able to think in a certain way, and consistently behave in a certain type of character. That you have millions in your account doesn’t make you rich. If you don't have the mindset to it, or the character that follows it, forget it, you're still in the BROKE PEOPLE category. Check out wealthy people, see how they raise their children, it's not just about giving them access to money, they give their children the mindset and character that rich people have. That's why just compare them, rich people and broke people don't think alike or behave the same way. There's always a huge difference. Again, no offense or insult to anyone. |
maynation:Who told you rich people that buy luxury cars are not on Nairaland? Besides, that doesn't even relate to this discussion, we're not talking about Nairaland. Then FYI, those Benz vehicles you listed, are all luxury cars. And let me tell you, Benz owners are not broke people. People that buy Benz don't think about mpg, smh, most Benz cars don't even have good mpg, the average Benz car is a V6, with city mpg around 13mpg or less, they don’t worry about resale value, they buy it because they love its luxury features and performance capabilities. Do you know a brand new S-class, let's say 2017 S550 AMG costs around $220k brand new and within a year or 2 after purchase the value drops by half, around 3 years, you can buy it for like $70k but rich people still buy it because they don't care about the second hand value, they are buying a car they love. The typical or average Benz owner is not a BROKE PERSON, no matter the year you consider. Even if you go back to the past, like in the 60s and 70s in Nigeria, check out the people driving Benz and check out those driving Toyota, Honda and Peugeot ![]() |
maynation:Yeah, I have seen them, and they are "BROKE PEOPLE". If cost of maintenance is a serious criteria for you before buying a car, then you are in the BROKE PEOPLE category. Even if you have millions in your account, forget it, you're still broke, because being broke is not just lack of money, it's also a way of thinking. When rich people buy cars, they buy the cars they love to buy, cost of maintenance is not and never a factor in their consideration at all. That's why it's rich people that buy Ferraris, Bugattis, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Roll Royces, Land Rovers, Mercedes Benz etc. They don't care about mpg, they don’t care about parts availability, they don’t care if there's no dealership or workshop for it in town, they don’t care if they have to ship it to another country for servicing, they don’t care about nothing. They love the car for the luxury and performance it provides and they buy it. That's what they care about. But CHECK OUT people buying Toyotas and Hondas. They care about mpg, you always see them vibrating like hot oil that was splashed with water, vibrating over whether it is V4 or V6, whether the 4 plugs can drive 1000km with 1 liter of fuel, whether Kabiru his neighborhood mechanic can fix it, whether Uche Obi in Ladipo has the parts, whether the parts are everywhere in lagos and along the forests of interstate roads, they worry about resale value, whether they can buy the car for N2m, use it for 10 years and still re-sell it with a banged up body, 650k miles covered, vandalized interior, gearbox on ICU and an engine on life support at N1.5m. They worry about everything. I'm not being rude, and apologies to anyone that feels offended. But the truth is, it's "BROKE PEOPLE" that drive (own) Toyotas and Hondas etc! |
unimagin:The proper thing for you to say is There's nothing a full options 2020 Camry can do that a full options 2010 Benz E350 cannot do! Toyota is the real scam! An OVER-PRICED SCAM! Can you imagine them wanting to selling a used 10th body, 15 owners, 350k miles rolled back 5 times to 75k miles, 2003 corolla for 1.2m? Is that not a big SCAM ![]() |
executive12:That's the MYTH people jump on, that they use to deceive them, the MYTH that Toyota is MORE RELIABLE than Benz. Truth is no Toyota product is "More Reliable" than Benz. Let's not even go far, let's just use our own society as an example. Let's take lagos, do you know how many Toyota cars break down on the road every day? A lot. Go to mechanic workshops all over lagos, it's usually full of broken down toyota cars having one problem or another they are fixing. It's so bad that the average lagos mechanic learnt mechanic work with Toyota (or Honda) and it shows how unreliable they are. So there's no doubt about it that Toyota's are unreliable. The average Toyota engine shorts oil by default, you always have to top up with oil or else you risk having an engine knock. There are so many defects here and there, but do you know why people actually still rush it? It boils down to money. Toyota's break down a lot, but they are "cheaper" to fix, the average mechanics here know how to repair is because it has very little complicated technology, so they don't need to be intelligent to fix it, even a dullard mechanic can still fix a Toyota (for example, if Buhari was a mechanic, pretty sure he will be a Toyota mechanic, he can never be a Benz mechanic because only intelligent people with high IQ can be a Benz mechanic without destroying the car ) Toyota parts are cheaper to buy because it's an Asian product, and the Chinese are able to fabricate those parts easily. Do you think it is easy or cheap for them to fabricate parts for Benz products? No, it's not. Takes a lot of experience, expertise, equipment and funding. Any average Chinese parts manufacturer can make Toyota parts, but check those making Benz parts, it can only be the top giant manufacturers. If those average Chinese parts manufacturer try it, they will most likely make substandard and fake parts that are either defective, fail or don't work at all. So everything boils down to money. Our people here rush Toyota because it's easier (every Tom, Dick and road side mechanic can fix it) and cheaper to fix, not because they don't break down because they break down a lot. They break down, they spend not so much and it's back on the road again. But Benz is actually more reliable, because they don’t break down so easily. But when they do, they will cost you "more money" to fix. More money not just in terms of parts alone, but in terms of getting the mechanic with the expertise to fix it, and Benz mechanics (the capable ones) are not cheap, remember these guys are the mechanics that are intelligent and have high IQ, so they know their worth and they charge their worth. So a Benz breaks down, and they do diagnosis, they cost the repair at maybe N120k and the broke owner shouts yay! N120k, I don’t have o, I have N40k, and the Benz mechanic says sorry, it can't be fixed at 40k, we have to replace this or that, do this or that. So the broke owner drives away or tows his car back or abandons it there and then goes around telling people that Benz is not reliable. No the Benz is reliable, but he just can't afford the maintenance. Which still boils down to money. So for me, if you're not a comfortable millionaire, you have no business with Benz unless you're a mechanic yourself with sound experience in repairing it, so you can DIY when it needs repairs and save costs. But Toyota is cheaper to fix and get back on the road again, that why most people tend not to notice the number of times they actually break down. They break down a lot! |
Smartchoiice:Toyota has sold more camry's because it is much more cheaper. Toyota is cheaper to buy that's why people mostly buy it. It's a case of money. Most people that buy Toyota's are middle-class and low-income earners. You have to be wealthy to be able to buy a Benz. How much is a brand new 2020 camry? About $27k msrp, and by the time you add all the options, it can't be up to $40k. An equivalent sedan to the camry would be the E-class. Do you know how much a brand new 2020 E-class is? MSRP for a base trim Benz E350 is around $54k, and now if you decide to go up the E-class ladder and get the AMG variants like the E63 AMG, then you're looking at around $110k MSRP alone, not to mention when you start adding options. Mercedes-Benz is not a car for the middle-class or poor. Only the rich can afford to buy it new, and then you talk of maintenance, of course it's more expensive to maintain than Toyota because it has more luxury technology than Toyota. Mercedes-Benz will always be GREATER than Toyota. You can only be comparing the likes of the Land Rover with a Benz. It is mostly poor people and broke-ass people that own Toyota. Keyword "mostly". |
