You are incorrigibly ignorant and obstinate. Despite telling you the same thing before the press release, you still want to argue. And the name of the person who made the video clearly stated.
I will continue to say Nigerians don't deserve good medical personnel. You lots are ingrates.

See the tweets below for those of you quoting and insulting me. I know what the hospital settings is like in Nigeria and UK. So without being there, after making careful assessment of the situation, I can easily draw an inference.

There are bad eggs but it's not as bad as it's being propagated. We have good doctors and nurses in Nigeria who are highly professional. Professionalism is also accessed before they are accepted abroad. Please let's try reduce the condemnation and be sure we get the true story first. The poor pay is enough headache and frustration, let's not add to it.
Thanks

Please shut up, you can say this if you have not been to hospital here in Nigeria, am a living witness . in 2015 a friend was rush into the Randle hospital or so at surulere, coughing out blood , you need to see how carefree the act when the guy was dying . with my very eye a woman rush in a child seriously burnt , the where telling the woman to shot up and stop crying, that where was she when the baby pour hot water. I begin to beg them to save a boyfriend and the child. My dear the where just minding their business . early morning 20th July 2015. My boyfriend almost past out, I had to run out looking for a cap to take him to luth , and that was his serving grace, if not he would have been a ghost by now.

So my friend shot up, if u don't know, most Nigerians r so careless working in Nigeria, go to different companies see non chalant attitude . that same Nigeria will be so dedicated to wash ditches abroad.
there are always two sides to a story, infact nowadays three. If you hear the hospital side now, we will all be mute. And you will never mention that they were the ones that referred you to Luth.
Sometimes some of you want hospital to do magic. Once they refer you, you start getting angry. Every hospital has limits.
For the woman crying, most of you will not answer the doctors questions which is very important for diagnosis but u will be quick to resort to tears.
When you order an ambulance for an emergency situation abroad, he ready to answer loads of questions before they release their ambulance. All boxes must be checked. You can't just disturb people and they arrive and discover it's not an emergency worthy of ambulance service.
Nigerians need to have sense and I will recommend the sense starting from you

There is a civil duty of care by civilians under the civil code.....even if its not the person's duty they are still bound to act.... Nigerians are naturally lackadaisical people who believe everything is a joke or party...

But I don't blame you, you lot love defending the indefensible.....so continue....here's how Nigerians are: defend the indefensible, turn around and blame government, plan to Japa (without shame)....

Bu
The problem with you is that you are blinded not to see the positivity that's why you didn't note that he was not neglected, he was on oxygen and they needed to go do scan as the nurses mentioned.
The two nurses from the video were ready and already gloved. The third person was on mufti and most likely the person who chuckled also and making video must be mufti and most likely the rescuers.
So why blame the health professionals in this case? Look at the facial expression of the nurses and tell me what it means.
But you people just love blaming doctors and nurses.
It's even worst abroad, people will be dying and videos will be made. They don't even touch accident victims for fear of excessive questioning. A Nigerian was wrestled to death in Italy 3 months ago and passers by were making video while he died.

The video was also too short to make concrete decision. But Na the health personnel go suffer the hasty generalisation. Not that you( behind this moniker) are a good person.

I will only pardon your ignorance if you have not gone to any government hospital in Nigeria before.
If you haven't, just shut up and ask those that have the experience.
Take someone to the hospital with any sickness and you will see the doctors and nurses blaming the victim for being the cause,
Especially if the victim na poor person.
you would be the one to shut up because you know nothing. Patients in Nigeria present very late and you hear probably the parents saying they first took the child to the chemist or were giving herbal medicine. And you want them to be praised? They only start blaming after the patients have been stabilised of probably the patient died on arrival.
Even abroad, it's worse, they won't blame you but report you. Before you know it, police have arrested you for questioning especially if the victim is a minor.
I'm not saying there are no bad eggs, but the way you guys condemn our health professionals, you need to take it slow.
On Instagram, they said the only doctors left are quacks, the good ones have left. Give those quacks few years and you will see them abroad. If you can't appreciate what you have, you will lose it. That's what's happening. Continue, visitor of the year to government hospital.

You see, Nigerians are very foolish and always trying to pull down their own. They never see anything good in their own until it's lost. It's so obvious from the video that the nursing staff was seeking the assistance of those that brought him to the hospital to assist in lifting him. From her facial expressions, she showed seriousness and empathy but the people(most likely passers by, that assisted him to the hospital ) were interested in videoing. This happens a lot in the hospital. Relatives or people who bring patients to the hospital often resort to making videos and the hospital staff telling them not to. The nurse was also explaining to them that he needed to be scanned, I don't think she would explain to fellow nurses if she was talking to her colleagues.

From the video, there was someone in mufti, which means not everyone in that room is a hospital staff. And it seems someone was saying they just assisted him to the hospital, but it wasn't clear.
And someone chuckled not laugher because he probably perceived the assignment as tedious or not his duty. Whoever did that cannot be judged until who he/she is or what position he/she holds is revealed.

On Instagram, the Nigerian health system, doctors, nurses have been dragged to the muds and there were people cursing Nigeria nurses and doctors. Some already ascribed his death to medical negligence and calling the doctors quacks.

By the time these doctors and nurses are done leaving the country, Nigerians will understand. This same people are underpaid by the government and never appreciated by the masses.

Good evening house.
my wife got a skilled worker visa. COS sent on 15th of May. We booked for flexi on the 17 and got a date for 24th of this month.

Her resumption date was stated to be May 30 on the COS letter. Is it possible to get a response before May 30? Will the visa not stand a chance of denial if the officers start reviewing on a later date and discover resumption date has passed or too close.

How can one go about this issue if it's a problem?
Thanks in anticipation.

Trust me, this is not hasty generalisation. While I have experienced this with two different account officers, my wife also is facing the same problem..
The account officers numbers are either on DND always or it's never going through.
A colleague just told me her experience likewise. What sort of unprofessional act is this?

Just to be clear, do you mean half brothers where you share a parent biologically OR do you mean step brothers whether you are not related biologically but your parents are married to each other?

There is obviously no issue with half siblings (i.e. you share the same mother or father biologically), just provide docs in the link below (search for relative in Canada). For step siblings, in addition to the docs in the link, the parents (Ayo's biological mum and Olamide's biological dad) must still be married to each other.

OLAMIDE DAD DOES NOT NEED TO ADOPT AYO.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html
Thanks for this.. Went through the link you provided and I'm highlighting the statement below for clarification.
If the applicant claims a stepbrother or stepsister, there should be NO evidence in the application that the marriage or common-law relationship between the parents of the stepbrother or stepsister has broken down.
Does this mean they do not have to prove anything, as it's actually difficult to prove but make sure the application form does not contradict their claim?
And I forgot to add that Olamide's father is late..
Thanks for your anticipated response

Hi guys, A friend (Ayo) was born outside wedlock. His step father also had a child (Olamide) outside wedlock.
Meaning Ayo and Olamide are step brothers
Olamide is currently in Canada; can Ayo file Olamide as a sibling in Canada?
Is it permissible?

(Edit: Apologies! Just realised we also had points for sibling in Canada which of course made a big difference. By all means evaluate your wife's degree if you need the extra points. The rest of the advice still stands though, especially this - start bit by bit if funds are tight. Good luck)

I guess you've simulated your scores already? I'm in the same position as you are, albeit a bit ahead in the process - applied at the end of last year, aged 30, medical doctor. My IELTS score was high (LRSW 9,9,8.5,8 ). After simulating scores we realised we would need only either IELTS or WES evaluation for hubby's certificate, not both. So he wrote only IELTS and we had a score of 482. Something to consider when funds are tight and you need to save whatever you can, as was the case with us. You should get high enough points, no need for your wife to be PA as others have said. Funds were really tight for us esp with the high cost of MCC evaluation. Funds were tight, was gift deed 100% (no issues with this as per GCMS notes). So start with the bare minimum you need to create a profile ie your own IELTS and ECA from MCC, then add the rest as time goes on. Good luck!
Thanks so much for this. I was just a step away from requesting my transcript from school before seeing this. That would have cost me #40,000. I have my certificate already and would send that to MCC through my physician apply file.

Well, since she's younger, she's better off being the PA. I doubt if a 2 weeks course would surfice or pass for a canadian equivalent, I may be wrong though. However that was why I suggested any of the other professional certifications she can give a shot (ACCA, BCS, CIMA). She can take any of these and evaluate as a two or more certificate.

Nb: You ain't sending your certificates, you'd only need to upload a scanned copy on your Wes profile or any other evaluation body you use. And as for the price, it might vary due to dollar rate, I did mine early January and it was about 83k for my two or more certificates evaluation.
Alright, thanks .
Although I'm still at advantage of being the primary applicant, until I become 31 by November, I only want to plan ahead incase of the unforseen.

Thanks guys, I'm very grateful.
One last question. I was surfing the CRS calculator and I discovered my 28 year old wife could also be the leading applicant (incase age catches up on me before the ITA) only if she has 2 or more certificates.

My wife is a radiographer with post graduate certificate in ultrasound scan which was only a 2 weeks course.
Firstly, will this 2 weeks course be evaluated as an additional certificate?
Also, how much will I have to pay WES for this since I will be sending her certificate, transcript and the post graduate certificate?

Don't sell your car yet except you have an investment/business you want to put the money in. Car is a necessity for a family man.

Another option would have been to downgrade to lower end car, but you don't know the history...you might spend more than expected.

So, find a way to raise the 500k and hit the ground running.

All you need for now is WES, Passports and IELTS...if limited on cash, evaluate yours and Wife, then both of you should write IELTS.

You will only need passport for kids after ITA. So, you can pend till then....but remember, passport booklets dey finish for Nigeria- if you have money get Kid's passport earlier sad
Thanks so much, you don't know how this has helped. I went out to the market just now to get foodstuff and trust me, I can't survive without a car.
I will go to school this week, to go start my transcript processing.

Medicine processing is a bit different as evaluation is not done by WES but the medical body. I already opened an account with the medical body for my credentials evaluation for $304. And each credential evaluated costs about $145.
Considering cost, do I need to evaluate my certificate too for the purpose of express entry? Or will only my transcript suffice?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Openedheavens: 2:23pm On May 02, 2021
Abdomox:
First, forget about proof of funds for now. Start the process by evaluating your credentials, renew passports and write IELTS. With that you can enter pool. It will be painful to miss out on a draw cos you are fixated on getting PoF.

Second, how do you plan to grow 2m to 6-7m within 6 months? Don't fall for scams please.

Lastly, push your wife to write IELTS and perhaps start a second degree, as I presume she will be younger than 30. Age is not really on your side, as you will start losing points from next birthday.

In summary, just enter pool even if na 400....you can be adding points as time goes by.

We never can say what FSW draw will be when it starts!
Thanks for your response, your reply is the main reason I am on my toes to get everything done on time. That's why I need about 500k to run the transcripts evaluations and every other thing simultaneously and hit the ground running. I can't even raise this money for now, and I don't wanna delay further. I still have a rent to pay soon. main reason for the wanting the car sale.
I will be 31 by late November and also, I have a sibling in Canada.

Concerning the build up, I'm thinking I can get an additional 1.5 to 2M within this space of time, if God makes my debtors pay me and do a gift deed to round it up.

So I want to be convinced if selling this car will be worth it. Cars are very expensive now and getting another will cost me over 3.5 million.

Hello house,

I'm a medical doctor, with a good side hustle but lately biz has been very bad, from good profit to being in debt. And my salary is not sustainable
I have finally decided to relocate with my spouse and baby.

From what I have gathered so far, after my ECA, I should be evaluated as professional degree holder which has a high point. I'm 30 and I'm confident of a good ielt score.

My spouse has a bsc in radiography too but I will be the leading applicant. I have a sound car which I can sell for about 2.5million naira. It's about 6 months of use.

I need about 500k for evaluating our certificates and results, renewing my passport and that of my baby. And opening a physician apply profile.

And the 2 million stash in an account while I grow it gradually to about 6-7 million naira within the next 6 months.

I have not been a foot soldier for over 5 years and it's gonna be stressful moving around in public transport.
Am I making the right decisions?
Will this whole plan work out?
I need experts to help minute on this

Firstly, passing English language comprehension requires good IQ and patience...

You will do well by reading again and note that there's no time I went to the nepa office to make a complaint.
The nepa guy came to inspect, saw the fault, dropped his number ( he wouldn't have dropped his number if he didn't find a fault). I had to call him, explained my case and he asked that I bribe him.
I don't bribe, but most importantly it's a foolish thing to do since there are many officials who come for inspection..
Until I bribe the whole nepa staff who will likely keep calling themselves, pointing my flat to other colleagues for further reaping.

Secondly, don't u think it could backfire and the nepa staff that won't take bribe will come one day. Find the fault and hand me over to the police. Then, I will seek advice on nairaland and your likes will still call me a thief and suggest that I am locked up.

And at that point my landlord exonerated.

I need nairalanders' advice concerning my present predicament.

I rented an apartment late last year and discovered my power wasn't disconnected despite having not made any recharge on the prepaid after 2 weeks.

I called my landlord brother who let the place out to me, to inform him about my findings, but he insisted that I was enjoying the recharge from the previous tenant.

I tried checking the balance through the small box used for recharging but it wasn't connecting and I believed it was a network issue

After about a month, my curiosity heightened and for the fact that I hate to be involved in anything illegal, I decided to make further inquiries concerning the metre.

My neighbor and chief tenant who has been in the house for about 4 years told me that there's debt on the metre which made the previous occupant connect directly while by passing the prepaid metre..

I called a friend who once worked with Nepa and he made findings saying the debt on the metre is 118,000 naira. I got the number of the landlord and decided to put a call to him last December.

He claimed that the house has been on prepaid metre since the erection of the building. And said I should ask Nepa how the debt was accrued..
I agreed with him so I decided to make more findings concerning how debt got on the metre.

During this period, a nepa official came for inspection, he dropped his phone number as I was not at home. I called him and explained everything to him..

He gave me the summary of the transaction which showed that the house owed a debt while on post paid, which was transfered on the prepaid meter when it was installed.
The nepa official indirectly asked me to bribe him so he would leave the metre not disconnected which I didn't oblige to.

He came last week to disconnect the metre and I have called the landlord who refused to find a solution to the problem.

My landlord claims he hasn't lived in the compound for a day and wouldn't be responsible for it. I suggested that I clear the bill and deduct it from my next rent. He refused.

I have been in darkness for over a week now and running on generator without any solution in sight.

What's the best measure I can take towards resolving this issue?

Why would you make a single mistake and not be able to edit. Moreover this said money is going to their account. Fine, it's registered into a different category. Are they saying they do not have the technicalities to put things in place?
It's similar to mistakenly paying for clearance or hostel in a school portal while you want to pay for school fees. When you make complains, the money is reversed and you do the right thing.

The example given is even stricter compared to this case. Why would you choose a wrong answer for the question "Are you above 80?" and everything simply goes sore.
Not forgetting that you had earlier filled your age correctly in an antecedent page.

It's pure evil. This happens to people and they loose the money on a daily basis. If it were to be an organisation that loses customers or a competitive market, they wouldn't ever act that way.

Filling forms online, anyone can make a mistake. Besides, he claimed to not have seen the question because at a point his network was bad and he was automatically logged out of the site before continuing.
