light004: Let apply simple logical reason to this allegation; let assume that this allegation is true and Tinubu was offered a VP slot and a northern the President slot. Please can these individuals alleging all these answer the following questions:
1. What will Jonathan gain from this arrangement after relinquishing power to the north?
2. The constitution has no provision for interim govt and so, how will it come about?
3. Is Jonathan going to head the interim government and Tinubu the Vice? That's dead on arrival.
4. A greedy man like Tinubu will surely jump at this juicy offers. VP, corner all senatorial seats in southwest with N200billion. I beg check na?
This is a cheap lie from the bottom of hell to blackmail PDP and get more votes from the gullible ones. APC is a shameless party. An association of professional criminals, U too much....a trillion likes 4 u!!! |

Whynotthetruth: First...be sure that I go with individuals not party...But if I must support a party, then I will go with PDP because they seem to accept the crudity of politicians and their corruptibility while APC claim to be saints which is the height of insincerity and deceit...
My advise to you in that post is the ONLY solution and not typing away energy and speaking grammar here...
Ekiti tape didn't plan any rigging if you listened to it; rather they wanted to stop APC thugs from operating by using military to block movements around and also, to stop money released in the government house by Fayemi from getting to the polling stations by blocking targeted politicians from free movement...
Do you see any possibility of PDP rigging election against Fayemi even in his own local government where he lost too
Truth is that if that election is conducted again... Fayose will win Fayemi convincingly again notwithstanding the hate speeches of indigenes like femi falana & co against fayose...
finally, APC and PDP rig elections always...but PDP respect themselves when they are outsmarted by APC but APC cries and insults everybody if PDP outsmarts them...
How can election be ONLY free and fair and a reflection of masses mandate, if only APC wins otherwise PDP or APGA or Labour party will be accused by them of rigging... what hypocrisy, blackmail, and sabotage is that ...I hate hypocrites!!! bro no mind dat guy jare....he is just like buhari and oda APC members who cry foul once it doesn't go deir way. ...he didn't ask dat investigations b made against tinubu or buhari or oda APC warlords....he didn't ask 4 investigations 2 b made again former bayelsa gov timipre sylva who embezzled state funds in bayelsa and emptied d state account....d same man is talking about taking away corruption from 9ja.. ..if 80% of dose in APC were in pdp, imagine wat will happen wen buhari gets elected...am just trying 2 get over deir ill-conceived plan 2 give 5k 2 each youth every month...a business man who attended buhari's baseless economic policy said if deir plan goes tru,9ja in 4yrs will spend 56trillion naira..Dats like 50 times our budget 4 a year..wat a waste...no wonder he doesn't want a debate...smh |

chronique: Spot on! If we go by the analogy of the APC reps, people like Saraki,Remi Tinubu and the likes, shouldn't be in the senate. However, should Obanikoro be found guilty of the accusations against him,it's only logical and ethical that he faces the music. But where a court of law hasn't pronounced him guilty,He should be accorded the rights he deserves as a former minister. Afterall,it is public knowledge that Tinubu is a criminal but if you ask APC folks, they'd ask you which court of law promounced him as one. So whatever is good for the goose,is good for the gander. my bros u much....APC supporters choose 2 abide by d law wen it suits dem....wen its PDP,dey quote d law but wen its APC dey ask 4 proof....hypocrisy and double standards!!! |

Whynotthetruth: My brother, you're wrong. The fact that you aren't aware doesn't mean that nothing is being done...Agencies have to silently do their work and not to advertise daily whenever they cough...When Retired Justice Uwais son left for ISIS fight; that was the point most people knew that security agencies have been on him...Government and governance isn't all about showmanship which most APC governors like Aregbesola; Rochas; Oshiomole etc do...hence pulling wools over the electorates eyes and making them follow sheepishly without questioning...
Finally; on this case, Obanikoro has a case in court. Going by our CONSTITUTION, which we must respect, he remains innocent until convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction. Even the Ekitigate issue isn't enough to stop him until a court of competent jurisdiction says so. NOTE that; if we go by APC mode of reasoning here; staunch APC senators in the house like Senator Danjuma Goje, Senator Saraki and others should also vacate their senate seats because they have cases with EFCC... u also forgot APC minority leader in d senate,"saint" akume...his case is still wit efcc... |

oseo1: I had the pleasure of meeting several olympians during my school days and guess what, when you turn professional YOU pay for your coaches and whoever else you want on your team, Nigerians want the government to do everything for them. Yes I agree we should have a National coach, but to expect the government to pay for individuals is just foolish.
What happens is that when you run for your country you get recognition and international fame thereby making you more relevant to sponsors and companies for endorsements.
The US does NOT pay their athletes, the only pay for transportation and logistics, their athletes compete for national pride. Their sponsors (Nike, Adidas, ....) generally pay them and they pay their individual coaches. The average Nigerian athlete is only loyal to the money they get from Naija, there is next to no National pride. Well said bro...ad infinitum likes 4 ur comment! |

GBTYO: Remi Tinubu and her husband are supposed to be serving long prison terms in a US federal prison.
Remi Tinubu does not in any way belong in that chamber!
Her antics alone showed that she belongs in a market and not in the highest platform of debate. I like d response from the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, Enyinnaya Abaribe...his very words: “There are allegations against Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, but in our law and the constitution of Nigeria, anything that is a mere allegation that is not a court decision is nothing but a mere allegation. “The laws of Nigeria is very clear; you are innocent until proven guilty, so that is what played out on the floor of the Senate. “The Senators who addressed the press conference and spoke otherwise of Senator Obanikoro are enjoying a privilege.
“This is because some of them have EFCC cases, and they are still in the senate because of this privilege of being innocent until proven guilty. So they cannot go to a press conference, and try to convict somebody when the person has not been convicted by a court of law.
“The Senate is not a court of law and even when the Senate conducts its own investigation, it passes it to the appropriate body for prosecution. |
