Travel › Things You Should Never Buy At The Airport by Opinionated(op): 4:09pm On Jul 20, 2018
There’s an amazing feeling of freedom in being able to fly to your chosen destination. But the time you spend in an airport is anything but free. What you do not know is that your stay at that airport can be expensive if you make the mistake of buying any of these items shared by Jumia Travel, the leading online travel agency, while you’re there.

Wifi

While waiting at the airport lounge you may exhaust your data. You turn to the airport Wi-Fi to continue your browsing. However, you have to pay for it. If this is the case, do not. First off, the Wifi is slow and overpriced.

Electronics

If you’ve decided you can pass up the airport Wi-Fi, then perhaps you’ll be open to passing up the opportunity to impulse-purchase electronics from those overpriced airport kiosks, even those little items like chargers and headsets you may have forgotten to pack. Electronics purchased at the airport will cost you significantly more than if you had bought them ahead of time.

Foreign currency

It’s probably one of the last things you’ll think about when planning a trip, but don’t exchange your money for foreign currency at the airport. It’s well-known that travellers are arriving unprepared, and given the lack of competition among currency exchange booths at the airport, those booths tend to charge high fees and far from the best exchange rates. You should wait until you arrive at your destination and take out money from an ATM there.

Medicine

Whatever Over The Counter medications you think you might need for your trip, don’t buy them at the airport because the prices are always inflated as compared to what you’d pay outside the airport. Try your best to plan ahead, and have what you need on hand in your carry-on.

Souvenirs

Whatever you do, don’t buy souvenirs at the airport. There is a high markup on souvenirs at the airport. So plan ahead, and purchase souvenirs at your destination, rather than while in transit.

Water

Air travel can dehydrate you, among other physical side effects, but know that you do not need to buy water at the airport. Instead, you should keep a water bottle with on you. Since you can’t have liquids during a security check, you just pack an empty bottle water in your carry on. This way, you can just fill it up whenever you can.

Ruggedman Allegedly Switches from #EndSARS to #ReformSARS Amidst Controversy
Celebrities › Ruggedman Allegedly Switches From #endsars To #reformsars Amidst Controversy by Opinionated(op): 11:49am On Jul 19, 2018
Nigerian entertainers tend to have a huge following and influence on social media. Hence, their jumping on the #EndSARS bandwagon gave the campaign a boost. One of the top entertainers pushing the #EndSARS campaign is Ruggedman.

However, he now seems to be working with the police to counter some of the negative perception if we are to go by this tweet from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Abayomi Shogunle:

The rapper is not happy about this portrayal and took to Instagram to denounce the ACP’s tweet, he wrote:

“Officer @yomishogunle I have heard about how incompetent and dubious you are but this disgraceful act of yours takes the cake.
This baseless and fabricated post of yours just goes to show you are a shameless liar and a disgrace to the @nigeriapoliceforce
Since you obviously do not respect the uniform you wear, the innocent people being brutalised daily i never expected you to respect me.
I see your pathetic comments trying to ridicule people who used to come to you for help and I always thought you were a disgrace to that position.
Now I am certain you are.
Do not ever in your life post anything I never said to you about me or on my behalf.
I would have said you take it down but I know my post will reach more people and it will expose you for the lying, decietful and disrespectful man you are.
NIGERIANS I AM ALL FOR #endsars until the force is reformed and reorientated on how to treat people as the humans they are.”

This controversy is definitely not over and we will be expecting the police’s reaction to this PR effort gone bad.

Health › 5 Ways To Get Rid Of Dark Lips by Opinionated(op): 3:08pm On Jul 17, 2018
Dark lips are mostly caused by dehydration, smoking, overexposure to the sun and other unwholesome lifestyle habits. You may even notice dark spots on your lips, which are usually just lip freckles. Whatever may be causing your lips to go dark, Jumia, the online store you can trust, shares tips on how to effectively get rid of them.

Exfoliate with sugar

Dry dead skin can make your lips look dull and dark. Exfoliate regularly to remove dead skin cells from your lips. You can use sugar to make an effective scrub.

Honey

Honey is not only tasty, it can also be used to get rid of dark lips because it can draw moisture to the surface. But that’s not all, honey also has healing properties. It helps repair wounds and promotes healing in sunburns. So, if you have sun damaged or chapped and split lips, honey can be helpful.

Cucumber juice

Chop/ blend cucumber, strain to get the juice and apply the juice all over lips daily. The difference will be obvious after a few weeks of daily use.

Use pink lips cream

https://i.pinimg.com/736x/aa/c1/6c/aac16c661165403e07eacc2a2b2fc244--nyx-matte-lip-cream-matte-lips.jpg

If you really fancy pink lips and want to get rid of those not so good looking dark lips, you can invest in pink lips creams. You know these creams have chemical content. Hence be careful when applying it to your lips.

Olive oil

You may have known about olive oils benefits for your health, skin, and hair, but did you that it can also give you attractive pink lips and moisturize them too? Prepare your own natural scrub by mixing one-half teaspoon of sugar and a few drops of extra virgin olive oil. Scrub your lips gently with this mixture once a week for best results.

Strive Musiyiwa is a billion dollar man and I have been following him for over a decade. One for being an astute businessman, secondly for his incorruptible stance and finally for being a born again Christian doing business in Nigeria (which is very difficult, by the way). These are the reasons why I have been following him. However, trust me, Strive was equally crying like this when he was in Nigeria with his Econet business. The man saw hell and was eventually kicked out (frustrated) just like Arhoms. No truthful, non-corrupt businessman and woman and Nigeria will not cry cos of the system.

Perhaps when Arhoms equally gets to Strive's level, the cry will subsides, but for now, I'm enjoying his rants which are relatable.
