My problem with form A in my region here in Nigeria is the longer time it takes, my tuition deposit took 2 weeks, so I'm looking for an instant payment medium

Yea this thing has been giving me concern as well. I just spoke to an Eco bank staff and he said we can actually use Form A to make such payments. That form A is not just for tuition. That we will need to get the necessary documents to prove why we are making the payments, just like how we provided while making tuition deposit.

If only this thing is something we can even pay in advance sef, lol. Pending when we really need it.

All experienced people online and offline, please I need guide on how to pay IHS and Visa fee by myself, Dollar card is my last resort, was told paga used to do it, after verification, I asked their customer service and they said it's on hold for now as their merchant is having some constraint, please which other way apart from dollar card and third party?

Well said, now understood what he meant by what he meant by paying balance tuition to school to reduce what needs to be shown as POF, but the thing go hard for this our country o, because if you con decide to pay balance tuition and you con go use lazy branch wen won still take 3 weeks to process, not to mention that most schools will only issue CAS after 28days POF, This country hard o

It is very simple. Take for example, if your maintenance fee is £5,000 and balance of your tuition fee is £3,000, this means you are expected to show £8,000 in your POF before the school issue your CAS right. If you have converted this amount (£8,000) to Naira using the prevailing exchange rate on day 1 and deposit it into your account but along the line before the end of the 28 days exchange rate moved up which means that your POF won't be sufficient anymore and you will be required to deposit additional funds to meet up with the new rate and start counting your 28 days over again.
Instead of doing this, you have the option of looking for funds elsewhere and pay part of your tuition balance to your school. Let say you paid £2,000 to your school. You will now be required to show proof of funds for £8,000 -£2,0000= £6,000 and your school would have updated your records to reflect the additional payment. In this case you will not need to add additional funds to your existing POF and your existing 28 days will still stands.

But the same logic might not hold for visa application if your CAS has already been issued by your school.

Please fellow Nairalanders and other experienced Nigerian UK student, is this correct, because I doubt it is, the purpose of the POF is to show that you've the means to pay your balance tuition and money for your maintenance when you require it, not to be paid yet as per tuition balance, also, when you say it is easier to pay the difference to the school, though you said as part of your fee, but don't forget that at the end of your 28days, you're expected to have £.... In your account, so if your account balance isn't up to £...., No one is sitting around for you to show them the balance or pay it to school as part of your tuition, I think that's wrong, because this same money comprises of your maintenance money which is not to be paid to anyone or school, in light of the above that I know, I don't think your statement is correct, I stand to be corrected though

I believe it is branch dependent, thouzgh they all send the request to HQ for processing, but you know how things are in Nigeria, because I ran from pillar to post on this very issue, I did mine with zenith bank, when I heard UBA was fast, I ran there and also did and after 3 days nothing, I also visited wema bank, they told me point blank it's 3 weeks, GTBANK same 3 weeks, stanbic ibtc said 3 weeks, so I thought of it, zenith was already running for almost a week, so I decided to wait on zenith.

I used zenith bank for my form A payment and it took exactly 2 weeks for them to buy the fx and make the payment, it was on the 15th day including weekend that I went to the bank to pick up my Telex, but note that I kept on checking and reminding the customer service agent and the rate as at then was 570/£

Pray your CAS comes before 30days after maturity, if it comes before 30 days after maturity, print it from the first day to when price was still within your benchmark

So what happens in this case. Does it mean the POF that has matured already and awaiting application before this spike has been invalidated ?? Or can we still use the the matured POF for application if the rates falls back within our benchmark ?? I used 560 for my benchmark and it got matured about 2wks ago. The school requested for it and I v been awaiting my CAS issuance since then.

I hope it won't affect that the CAS issuance sef like this.. This is not good o

If your last benchmark was 560 and it's not around 567, then you have to deposit more and start counting from day 1 again

In my case, you will go to the bank to pick it up, as zenith Bank claims customer doesn't have the access needed to print the Telex

Yes it is, but if at any point in time along the 28days count your money went below the required amount in pounds due to naira fluctuations, then, you need to restart counting from the day you decided to top up the money

Good day fellow Nairalanders, please all those counting 28days should endeavor to go through all the dates making up their 28days on oanda before going for Biometrics, because as of today the pounds to naira rate has gone up with almost 10 naira as compare to what it was on may 1st, bottom line, always check through all the days you kept the money especially if you didn't give enough room for fluctuations

Between one week to three weeks depending on the bank, first you will be debited the equivalent in naira for buying the fx, after which they will make the payment on your behalf, when done, a Telex will be printed for you with the beneficiary details

Prepare your POF assuming no discount was giving to you, if in the end you were giving discount, good, you will be well above the amount needed for POF, but if you can't come up with that amount yet, then wait for your CAS to know exactly what you need in your account for POF

Below are my calculations:

£15,500 - £2,000 discount = £13,500

£13,500 - £3,000 deposit = £10,500

£10,500 + £9,207 maintenance

= £19,707
I am so disturbed because the offer did not state the discount, I don't want to make mistakes putting my POF together wrongly. Please check it for me. But the university assured me that the discount will be deducted

First I will say if you're trying to beat a deadline, then make more enquires here regarding banks that does their payment within 24-48hrs and also ask the location, because it seem that it's their branches in major cities or HQ that processes the payment faster, with that said, I used Zenith bank, they charged 570/£ but it took 2 weeks with alot of calling and bugging them

I didn't move the money, I left the money there while I filled another form A at UBA, I left both open since zenith own has been more than a week now, I kept both funded, first to debit me, I will transfer the other one fund and then go to the bank to pull the plug

Please do not use Zenith bank. They are a complete nightmare. I applied for FORM A from them since last week Tuesday and till now nothing. I was even told it could take months.

Thank you, i used zenith since last week Tuesday, no show till now, I was constraint to use them, as at then, only them agree to use statement of result and nysc discharge certificate alongside passport, but now that I have a copy of my certificate and they still haven't debited me, I am thinking of moving the money to either wema or union bank, those are the other two place I have active account

Most banks will process it within 3days. But someone used UBA and it was processed within 3hrs. I used Eco bank last week Tuesday and on Wednesday i was debited. I will advise you check Stanbic, Eco, UBA, Wema, Access and Keystone.

Their respective exchange rates will help you decide
