Dame Judith Ameachi bags An Award~'ICON OF HUMANITARIAN SERVICES OF THE YEAR~ BBIGN

The largest and well-structured Pro-APC Political Pressure group, Bridge Builders Initiative for Green Nigeria (BBIGN), honored the Wife of the Minister of Transportation, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dame Judith Ameachi with an Award 'ICON OF THE HUMANITARIAN SERVICES OF THE YEAR', on the 14th of December, 2021, in recognition for her numerous selfless services and support towards the growth and development of Humanity, particularly the women and the younger people in the society.

The National Leadership of BBIGN, led by the National President, Dr. Emmanuel Chigoziri Orgwu, presented the Award and a Portrait of her, during the group's End of the Year thanksgiving, and also to mark her upcoming birthday as one of the major Stakeholders and the 'Matron' of the Organization.

In the same vein, the National Women Leader of the body, Hajia Salamatu Abdulkadir and Mrs. Elizabeth Usani, also presented a well inscriptional Face-Cap tagged "THINK AMEACHI 2023".

In her response, the group's Matron and the Wife of the Former Governor of Rivers State, Dame Judith Ameachi, with a grateful heart, assured the Organisation of her continuous support and willingness to do more for humanity,and enjoined the group to keep praying relentlessly, and always ask God to take full charge and make all things beautiful in His own time.

The National officers that attended the event includes, Dr. Emmanuel Chigoziri Orgwu, National President, National Woman Leader Hajia Salamatu Abdulkadir, the Deputy National Woman Leader Miss Elizabeth Usani, National Vice President (South East) Hon. Austin Okezie, Elder Prince Sunny Opara and Chief Douglas Teineye Tango .

The National President of Bridge Builders Initiative For Green Nigeria, Dr. Emmanuel Orgwu visited Bayelsa State yesterday for a meeting with Bayelsa elders and leaders.
Dr. Orgwu who spoke to the press did not disclose his reason for the visit.

When asked, he said; we must not be talking to the press always. What do you want to know? My visit? Oh! It is private and personal. This is December, so I came to say happy Christmas to my fathers in advance. Just expect a lot of visit this period because it is a Christmas month.

One of the elders who was in the meeting and does not want his name to be mentioned reviewed that it was a fruitful meeting with the young man.
He said; you know he will not tell anything. He is such a young intelligent and smart man.
He is here for Rotimi Amaechi, the Transport Minister. He spoke well and we have agreed with him. He called and said he wants to meet with five prominent elders and leaders from Bayelsa State, we obliged him.
He spoke on support for former Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi by Bayelsa and Ijaw people.
We agreed on what to do. We will mobilize other elders, leaders and stakeholders.
The Minister of Transportation is our son from Niger-Delta who schooled in Bayelsa State. Here is Amaechi's second home.
We will never forget what Amaechi did for Melford Okilo. He built house for him and also buried him when he died.
So majority of Bayelsans are for him come 2023.

The elder who spoke also said Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi needs people like Dr. Emmanuel Orgwu around him.
He said; I think Amaechi needs people like this around him. Those who are passionate to help his ambition and project. The young man we met is organized, intelligent and result-oriented.
These are the kinds of people the Minister needs, and not sycophants.

AKWA IBOM BBIGN PAY COURTESY VISIT TO APC ASSEMBLY MEMBER/ OTHERS, CHARGES THEM ON COLLABORATION.

The last few days in Akwa Ibom State, Bridge Builders Initiative For Green Nigeria (BBIGN), a pro APC group loyal to the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has been very busy with courtesy calls to both APC and non-APC leaders, seeking for their collaboration and support to achieve the group's objective come 2023.
The group is appealing to all stakeholders to join "THINK AMAECHI's PROJECT 2023".

However the body's is currently on its Geo-Political Zones Town Hall meeting accross the six zones in Nigeria, tittle: THE ROLES AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF H E, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi AS A LEADER AND POLITICIAN . The National President, Dr. Orgwu Emmanuel Chigoziri had also directed the Leadership accross the 36 States and 774 LGA'S to embarked on courtesy visit/ consultations with Leaders accross boards, preaching, garvanising more supports base for her Principal, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Setting up other committees to take care of pressing needs of the members most of who are decampees or returning members.
Speaking during the courtesy to Arch. Chief Otu Ita Toyo, very senior citizen with a strong Political acumen of Akwa Ibom State , on Thursday 2 Dec., 2021, at his Shelter Afrique housing Estate. Hon. Emmanuel Bassey Aks, the Akwa Ibom State Coordinator ,said "we express our profound gratitude to you for deeming it important granting us this audience . We are most grateful for this reception, and we pray that the outcome will be far-reaching and beneficial to not BBIGN , the the generality of Akwa Ibomites .

He further reterates the NGO visions and purpose of the visit . He also outlined some of the achievements and programs so far.

Delivering the message from the National President, Dr. Orgwu Emmanuel Chigoziri, Hon. Bassey appealed for his collaborations and implored of his Political wealth of knowledge and experience behind BBIGN and the Party for a sort landing during 2023 Elections. He particularly, solicit his supports for the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Ameachi and the visitation of the National President.

Responding to the group demand, Arch. Chief Ita Toyo , express happiness to have the group as grassroot politicians coming together to work for the good of the party.

" I am Happy with your principal , now our Principal. I foresee our principal, His Excellency Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi becoming the most favoured for Aso Rock in 2023", he said .

" I am Very ready to receive the National President and his team, he added.

Chief Ita also used the Medium to expressed his dissatisfaction toward the last congress inthe State .
His words " I am Very angry based on the way the last congresses were conducted in Akwa Ibom State. How can someone from nowhere pick a ward chairman from my ward and I don't know the person ?.
He further stressed that if things are not put in place APC in Akwa Ibom State may experience serious problem in 2023 election

He charged the group to speaks out and tell their Leaders the true position of things in Akwa Ibom State.
He finally , Spoke about the controversial planned relocation of lbom deep seaport at Mbo to another place and called for relevant government agencies to be properly guided in decisions to maintain peace in all areas of the state. He then approved and Promised to open his doors anytime the bodys want to meet him for further discussions on our principal.

In another development, the group on Friday 3, Dec. 2021 also paid a courtesy visit to the only APC Assembly member in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chief Effiong Johnson, representing the Mbo Constituency.

Leader of the delegation, Hon. Emmanuel Bassey Aks (BBIGN Akwa Ibom Coordinator) said it was a visit of solidarity as the only APC member in spite of ‘intimidation’ by the state government. And are on the visit to assured their Loyalty to the Party's Leadership.

He encouraged the Legislator to hold steadfast to his schedule till 2023 when the current administration would vacate office.

Hon. Bassey said Hon. Chief Johnson had showed a sign of commitment towards effective service delivery for improved welfare of the people of the state.

“We are in your office to felicitate with as our only APC Assembly member.

“You have shown the spirit of a statesman, God bless you,” the team leader told the Legislator .

He also assured Hon. Johnson of the team’s support and determination to reposition governance in the state,comes 2023.

“We have to make time to officially pay a solidarity visit to you and support you in our efforts to move Akwa Ibom forward. We are proud of you and happy that we have you,” Hon. Bassey stresse

He also told the legislator that they are carrying the message of the National President, as directed , which is ; preaching / carvising for Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi ahead of 2023.

Appealing to him to work with Elders to resolve the crises in the Party cause by the Congress so they can win 2023 and take over Akwa Ibom State.

And, Seeking his collaboration and support to work for our Principal.

Welcoming the delegation, the legislator commended the BBIGN caucus members for the solidarity visit even in the face of challenged to the party at the different parts of the state.

He stated that the people of the state must begin to think beyond their limitations to greater heights.

He said the Leadership of the group, are refined gentleman with a good heart to take the state to a greater level.

According to him, “one does not need to be a PhD holder to lead effectively.”

What is needed, he said, “is a good heart, listening ear and ability to be proactive which is found in the APC , especially , the Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi”.

He described the unity of the body stakeholders as a good omen for the state and its people.

“When you are united, it makes the work of the party much easier in the state and l must say, l am impressed with the growing unity in your body in Akwa Ibom State,” Johnson said.

Rt. Johnson said the NGO is growing stronger and uniting faster since after your Inuaguration .

He said there are negotiations still ongoing to foster more unity and cohesion in the party. “I want to assure you that every issues will resolved for a United Party in other to win 2023 ” he assured.
He however pledge his undiluated loyalty, love and support for our principal,the Minister of Transportation. And again, assured the body's of his readiness to meet with the National President and his team whenever he is ready. This meeting is organised at the instance of Bridge Builders Initiative for Green Nigeria (BBIGN) for short. Specifically, we have converge here to sharpen our bridge building process because we are blessed to have a leader in the person of Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, our amiable Minister of Transportation in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. BBIGN BAYELSA APPOINT ANOTHER IJAW LEADER AS PATRON, THROW WEIGHT BEHIND AMEACHI CANDIDATURE.

The Bridge Builders Initiative For Green Nigeria (BBIGN), formerly known and called National Youth Leadership Congress (NYLC) Bayelsa State Chapter, the Pro-APC Political Pressure Group, and ardent supporters of the Honourable Minister for Transportation, His Excellency Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on its Missions to involve more relevants Stakeholders and to thrown their weight behind the candidacy of the Minister of Transportation Federal Republic of Nigeria, to be the next President of Nigeria.
Yesterday, Hon. Iyenimi led a delegations of BBIGN Leadership to paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Cyrill Benjamin, a one time Southern Ijaw LGA Chairmanship aspirants, on Friday 26th Nov. 2021 at yenagoa , the Bayelsa capital, to pledge their loyalty and solicit for supports to enable the Party move forward , and also appoint Hon. Cyril Benjamin as one of her patrons in the state .

The Bayelsa state coordinator of BBIGN, a one time leader Southern Ijaw Legislative Arm, Hon. Iyenimi Sling in his Speech, narrated that the group is structured all over the country, under the Leadership of Dr. Orgwu Emmanuel Chigoziri as it National President. He outlined some of the objectives , aims and Missions of the body , achievements dust far .
He particular told their host and Leader that BBIGN is working for Ameachi and ,he is her Principal. He said the body on her recruitments missions will recruits more than 30 Millions ,and that so far , they had recruited about 16 Millions across the federations , both Men's, women's , youth , Regious Leader, Opinions Leader, business class, Traditional rulers , and non-APC members into the Party . And described the Minister of Transportation Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi as a "detribalised Nigerian with verse political esperance with multitude of followership across Nigeria, BBIGN is in full support of the minister fondly called " Mr Connectivity".

The Group also used the occasion to appointment Hon. Cyril Benjamin as one of the Southern Ijaw Local Government patron .
Recalled that, on Monday 22th Nov. ,2021, the group also paid a visit to Hon. HASSAN EBIKI and were also appointed as patron.
In his response, Hon. Benjamin, encouraged the group to be steadfast and be dedicated, that the Rt. Hon. Chibuike PROJECT is a "PET PROJECT" for the people of the South South that will succeed and Nigerians will glad,
" the projects of H.E Rotimi Amaechi are visible for all to see".

" I hereby accept to be the patron of BBIGN with all of my heart ,and , I am willing to do all within my reach for the pride of Niger Delta to succeed".
He also noted that there is need for the Body and Excos to starts working and galvanize supports to ensure the party and Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is given the tickets and win the 2023 elections.
He further adviced the BBIGN Leadership to deceit from any act of betrayal or anything that will make their Leaders to doubt there Loyalty.
He said , "i am proud of you , your ideas and cause, and I assured you of my support at all time".

Also, ahead of the 2023 Presidential race, The Bridge Builders Initiative for the Green Nigeria (BBIGN) APC Support, formerly known and called National Youth Leadership Congress (NYLC) Bayelsa State Chapter, have thrown their weight behind the candidature of former Governor of Rivers State, now, the Minister of Transportation Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to be the next president.

The group said it resolved to endorse him based on his antecedent as related to his numerous interventions and developmental projects spread across the country, as the then Governor's of Rivers State and now in the Railways sector.

BBIGN BAYELSA CHAPTER PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO APC LEADER , HON. HASSAN EBIKI, APPOINT PATRON, CONVERSED SUPPORTS .

The Pro-APC Political Pressure Group, called Bridge Builders Initiative for Green Nigeria (BBIGN), in its continue Missions to garvanise supports to the Minister of Transportation Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Bayelsa State Chapter had paid a courtesy visit to a former Southern Ijaw LGA Chairman, a former Federal House of Reps candidate in the 2019 General Elections , and a Leader of the All progressives Congress (APC) , Hon. Hassan Ebiki, at his residence Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa, on Monday the 22th Nov., 2021.

The courtesy visit was aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence, involving relevants Stakeholders of the Party and channel a pathway for a better Mobilisations and supports based through a collective efforts.

The visitation was led by the the Bayelsa State Coordinator, a time Leader of the Southern Ijaw Legislative Arm and a two time Assembly attempted, Hon. Iyenimi Sling . The Coordinator seized the opportunity to explain the agenda of body and also seeks the support and blessings of the APC Chieftains, through, throwing his weight behind our leader RT. HON. Hon. Iyenimi Sling further briefed the APC bigwin that BBIGN Structures existed in the 774 LGA and across the 36 states of the federation and accross the units and wards in Bayelsa. Accepting his Patronship , the Ijaw Political Leader ,Hon. Hassan Ebiki, charged the Bayelsa BBIGN Leadership to protect the interest of the body at all times.

Hon. Ebiki expressed happiness that the leadership emerged through a rancour-free and exemplary process after years of others organisation being comatose.

He said, “I am indeed the happiest man that we have a brand new Leader's with Missions drive.

“There is a hand of God in your formations. It was God’s own design using every one of you to ensure the loud silence of the Green Nigeria would no longer be.

“On no account should you compromise the interest of BBIGN.

“I believe very strongly that your demands and voice is going to be heard.
The Brand patron encouraged the group to be steadfast and be dogged in spreading the message of the Minister of Transportation Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi .

“Have it at the back of your mind that your paramount interest should be that of the Green Nigeria.
“You have chosen me to patron you and the cause , I am ready and equal to the tasks ahead .

Hon. Ebiki thanked the delegations for their gestures ,pledge his support and assured them that his leadership would work hard to move the body forward.

when contacted , confirming the moved and adoption of Hon. Hassan Ebiki as the Southern Ijaw LGA BBIGN patron, to the BBIGN Media crew via media chats , Hon. Iyenimi Sling, Bayelsa State Coordinator, expressed how he feels to have the former Ijaw LGA Council Boss, a Leader of the party , as the patron of the body in Bayelsa State, he postulates that his joy knows no bounds.

His words; “It’s a beautiful development to have Hon. Hassan Ebiki, former Local Government Chairman, who was also a Federal House of Representatives Candidate in the 2019 General Elections to supports and to be one of our patron . It shows that God is standing with us. From the way things are going with us ,God is obviously walking with us, it shows that God is taking us to a greater height.”

“It was a great experience, the ex-Chairman is a wonderful man. He is a very easy going person. He is ready to assist us with his wealth of knowledge and experienced . Ladies and gentlemen i greet you all. But please permit me to confess that I am incapable of using this medium and forum to critically and analytically comprehensively state the roles and achievements of this political colossus. Not necessarily because I may not have all the records, but because time and space here may not even be enough to put on records the achievements of this great leader of our time that I can recall. Therefore, I will only make attempts to narrate just a few of his roles and achievements in Rivers State, Nigerian nation and humanity at large.
It is on clear record that the achievements of Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as Governor of Rivers state speaks for itself till date as they are visible to the blind and audible to the deaf and are equal to none.
Ranging from the Educational sector, Healthcare, massive infrastructural developments, power, creation of employment, Agricultural revolution, and security of lives and properties, even in the areas of Arts and other intellectual property development.
Just last week I delivered a lecture on leadership at the NUJ Secretariat on the occasion of the inauguration of the 8th National Executive Council of Rivers state Youth Federation, there i made it abundantly clear that Education is the precursor not just for quality leadership but for meaningful, enduring and sustainable growth and development in our society. As Governor of Rivers state, H E, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi appreciated this fact, hence overhauled this sector by building and equipping over three hundred standard Primary Schools and twenty four model Secondary schools to international best standards. He employed more than thirteen thousand teachers who were adequately trained. He gave bursary to students on regular basis and facilitated scholarship scheme of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency(RSSDA)- an agency backed by law. I will only make references to only three beneficiaries of his Educational policies to show the positive impact it had on our people. "Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi places top priority when it concerns Education. He can sacrifice his last penny when Education issues are raised while he held sway as Governor of Rivers state. To encourage and motivate teachers, he paid the highest salary in Nigeria, including sundry allowances and scholarship to them for quality educational standards. He ensured that teachers were promoted timely. His quest for improved educational standards and the measures he adopted to achieve that, earned Port Harcourt the World Book Capital in 2014, during his administration. Amaechi passionately believes that backgrounds should not be an inhibition to acquiring good education, since education is a major bedrock for lifting people out of poverty. Thus everyone is entitled to education, no matter your financial status. Bearing these circumstances at heart, he declared free education for all public Primary and Secondary schools in Rivers State, including the provision of free uniform and bags for students of such schools. The lecturers were not left behind. He gave scholarship to all indigenous lecturers in Rivers State University of Science and Technology to upgrade to Ph.D. The drive to encourage education further made him pay bursary annually to both undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Rivers origin in Nigerian Universities. I, Mrs Opem Udose was a beneficiary of his benevolence and magnanimity. As a student leader then, I was privy to these facts as i was part of the coordinating processes during my tenure as a member of the NURSS legislative council (Uniport chapter) representing AhoadaWest students and also the former Vice President of the National Union of AhoadaWest students. Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi gave scholarship to over five thousand students in Nigerian Universities and scholarship to over three thousand students for schools overseas spread across the globe. He had a functional scholarship Board. The RSSDA was a very vital agency for providing scholarship for international students. It is interesting to note that scholarship under his watch was awarded purely on merit, giving opportunities for children from even very economically and socially disadvantaged families the leverage to study abroad. Rivers state students as at today do not know what it means to receive bursary. They do not know what it means to be sent abroad on scholarship for studies. Teachers are not paid promptly. Since Amaechi left the state as the Governor, Secondary and Primary school teachers have remained in the salary grade level they were as at then, as the present administration has not deemed it necessary to promote them. Education management in Rivers State as at today is at a very abysmal level. What a sad reality! Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is an excellent performer when it comes to leadership. I choose Rotimi Amaechi for President of Nigeria come 2023 for a greater Nigeria. Mrs Opem Udose".

From Isaiah Thomas, "I had my Secondary education in Lagos. One of the best schools in the country. D-Ivy College. As this may sound, I did this on scholarship under the RSSDA board during Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi administration. We were a total of 123 students on this scholarship. The Greater Horizon Opportunity Program(GHOP) monitored this..... i flew all through my Secondary school days..... the memo was to cover our University abroad. But Wike came on board and scrapped everything...... mind you these were 123 less privilege kids....this man called Wike knocked down like this....... One day j will meet Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and remind him of his great works."

And to your wife, our Mommy, who sat with us and welcomed us, we are indebted to you Ma. You will always be loved, cherished and adored for the motherly role you played in our lives. Before you, there was none, after you, we are yet to see another father who understood just what his children needed and gave to them".
Then Barinedum Mbee concluded by saying "My greatest joy is the fact that despite all, most of his seeds continued to grow. I mean, look at the quality of children he raised!. If only he knew! If only people knew!. I have had to convert my pain, hurt and bitterness into endurance and strength. The disappointment that hit us isn't really my problem. But the sh**ty mud smashed on the image of a father, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, is what burns my soul. A father who did not wait for his babies to cry before feeding them. Even when we had not finished the one he gave to us he would come back asking to be sure we were satisfied. A father who had the life of innocent poor children planned out for them, implemented it and gave them a taste of the kind of life every child deserves, hoping to give a life to hopeless children which he did until all his efforts to accomplish his vision were thwarted, j laugh in pain because.......I don't know how long the remaining 121(we lost Chukwuemela Johnson) of us can keep their calm. Mine is....I be given an opportunity to tell my father "thank you in a very concise manner" because until I show my gratitude a big part of me won't find peace. I have become the woman I am today first because of God, my parents and my father Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. My story will never be told without him in it. Wherever he is, I hope he realizes that a tiny little child he pulled out of the dust and groomed into a fine desirable young woman is itching to express her gratitude. It doesn't matter how hard they try to rub the mud on him, my father is my father, regardless and he deserves all the gratitude there is in the world to be expressed. One day people will rise, people will talk. People whose future were ruined will murmur. There has only been some level of decorum because our father, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi raised us well. He raised us to be Kings and Queens amongst Kings and Queens. It'll be a shame to trade our values for what's not worth it. Wherever you are father, your children are grateful. We never stopped loving you".
This is a man you want me to use just an hour to describe his roles to humanity? No. But we must forge ahead.
Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi's performance on security as the Governor of Rivers state was superlative. The residents of Rivers state were living in fear before he assumed office in 2007, as Cultism, gangsterism, kidnapping, all sorts of crimes and criminalities were at there peak, hampering free movements, night lives, businesses and all that. But he took the bull by the horn, frontally confronting the situation, chased out militants and robbers and brought back absolute peace, tranquility, sanity and security to the state. Rivers residents then slept with their two eyes closed, night lives restored, businesses boomed and confidence and a huge fresh air restored.
Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was not just a friend of the Health Sector, but a father of it. Apart from employing and training qualified Medical Doctors, he built one hundred and sixty health centres and three ultra modern hospitals.
His government invested massively in infrastructural developments, construction and reconstruction of roads and bridges adhering to the vision of connecting all parts of the state by road. He expanded and reconstructed many major roads in and outside Port Harcourt metropolis. His administration also embarked on internal roads in rural areas and land reclamation in some coastal parts.
The administration of H E, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi created lots of jobs through aggressive Agricultural development as an alternative economy to crude oil. He did this by establishing Songhai Rivers Initiative Farm modelled after the Songhai Farm in Porto Novo, Benin Republic. It is on record that the 314 hectare farm is twenty times bigger than the Songhai farm in Porto Novo. This farm employed and trained lots of young Rivers men and women in new farming methods, boosting productivity with innovative technologies in Agriculture.
In area of Power generation, a target of 715 megawatts of power was set as to ensure adequate power supply in the state. Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi successfully completed 460 megawatts: 130MW at Oginigba(T/Amadi), 150MW at Omoku, 180MW at Afam and 75MW at Onne. He kick- started another 180MW at Afam before his tenure expired and also began talks with the Federal Government to allow Rivers state distribute its power as to ensure regular power supply to the people.
H E, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi brought the Greater Port Harcourt City Master Plan into actuality not just by constructing Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium but by constructive launching and well-developed planning which includes the planned new Rivers state University of Science and Technology.
In the area of Arts, he adopted the Garden City Literary Festival and made it an internationally yearly event, hence encouraging convergence of intellectuals from different parts of globe and improving the society using Literature as a tool at the same time encouraging book reading amongst our people. This act also is a pragmatic means of information and education.
Culture was not left behind as the Port Harcourt Carnival popularly referred to as CARNIRIV was revived and held annually at Christmas periods, giving Rivers residents an opportunity to relax and have fun.
Transparency and Accountability became the watchword of this great leader of our century. He demystified the office of the Governor making it to be easily accessible and approachable as never was, with a participatory style of governance and also keeping constant touch and communication with the people through Town Hall meetings. His demystification of Government was also very visible and conspicuous in the expenditure of Government funds. He initiated the passage of bills, setting up of the Rivers State Due Process Commission for the exercise of due process on all Rivers state Government procurement and contracts. Institution of Public Private Partnership and many other developmental policies and programmes were also achieved by Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as Governor of Rivers state.
Our amiable Leader as the current Minister of Transportation has become the pride and face of the administration of our dear father and National leader, President Muhammadu Buhari. H E, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has completely revamped the Railway sector with the modernisation of Nigeria's railway. His Ministry is building standard gauge rail lines while reconstructing the existing narrow gauge lines. At same time modern and faster locomotive trains , coaches and wagons are being introduced. The Pride of the Niger Delta supervised the completion of the Abuja-Kaduna rail line. He secured the contract for the Lagos- Ibadan- Kano rail line of which Lagos- Ibadan section has been delivered with massive state-of-the-art train stations with an extension of the line into the Seaport in Apapa. Our dynamic leader has completed the Warri- Itakpe rail line, and is on track to deliver the Lekki deep seaport by 2022. He has kick-started the Kano- Maradi rail line, Port Harcourt- Maiduguri rail line, Bonny Deep Seaport and Railway Industrial Park in Port Harcourt. Work on the contract for the Lagos- Calabar coastal rail line is in progress.
Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi persuaded the Chinese rail company CCECC to establish a Wagon Assembly plant in Kajola in order to make our nation selfsufficient in the production of wagons, locomotives and other rail rolling stocks. He used his goodwill to negotiate and secure the establishment of a Transportation University in Katsina state, a multi- disciplinary University in Rivers state and the training of three hundred Nigerian students in Chinese Universities on Railway Engineering.
The wonder Minister had just launched the Integrated National Maritime Surveillance and Security Infrastructure Project also known as the Deep Blue Project that would ensure safety and security of Nigeria's territorial waters and protect Maritime trade in the Gulf of Guinea.
The workaholic Minister is also overseeing the construction of Inland dry Ports in different parts of the Country, deep seaports, and ensuring that all agencies under the ministry of Transportation are performing optimally.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the perfect model of leadership that all of us aspire to emulate. In this direction, our leader, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has become an epitome of leadership by being a good follower of Jesus, hence has shown exemplary and selfless service. As our Philosophers have individually and collectively outlined the qualities of a good leader: a good leader should possess great knowledge, abilities, virtues, wisdom, openness, intelligence, action, high sense of morality, character and ethics. Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi possesses all these qualities coupled with deep knowledge of himself. No wonder he is focused, humble, empathic and discharges his duties selflessly with love.
He had a very humble beginning, endowed and well tutored on how political parties should be run from Local level to the national where he has held several positions.
He has been Directors of Boards of Companies. He has served and adequately followed leaders as Special Assistants and Personal Assistants. He served for twoterms as a legislature and was Speaker for the two terms as well as Chairman Conference of Speakers- which gave him an opportunity to establish a Secretariat in August 2003 at 12 Zaire Crescent, Maitama Abuja for the Conference of Speakers. This is one of the numerous opportunities that launched him into National politics. Recall that in 2003, when the National Assembly moved to hijack the legislative functions of state
Houses of Assembly as enshrined in the constitution, he led his members in the famous Supreme Court judgment, that the control and supervision of local government is the prerogative of the state House of Assembly. Isn't this pragmatic leadership?
Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was a two-term Governor and won election twice as Chairman of Nigerian Governor's Forum(NGF), though some undemocratic elements then refused him to exercise that responsibility during the second-term bid as the Chairman of NGF.
Alongside with Four other Governors, he formed the nPDP that later collaborated with the Legacy parties to form the ruling APC.
He was twice the Director General of the President Muhammadu Buhari Presidential campaign(2015, 2019) that led APC to Aso Rock, winning the then ruling PDP and sustaining the victory respectively. He is currently serving as a two-term Minister of Transportation where he is also showing capacity and leadership. Nigerians are beckoning on this two-term speaker, two-term Governor, twice Presidential Campaign DG and two-term most performing Minister of the Federal Republic to please, in the name of Almighty God, come and lead them come 2023.
