Those guys are evil; my personal experience was a bad one, after they removed the catalytic, they now weld the pipe, so, I first notice the gear doesn't change ontime and any long drive I usually return with a leaking/burst exhaust, imaging Lagos Tokunbo car o.

For about six months, I was fixing exhaust, until I met a professional panel beater, who now explain the cause and he get it fix.

Imagine what I have to go through because some people wants to make additional money.

Those saying 450K is more than enough to buy a land and start building do not really understand how expensive things are in Nigeria today. I earn slightly above what the OP mentioned, but believe you me, it's not been easy. If you live in Lagos, Abuja or PH and you are married with kids, you will understand. A 2 bedroom flat in an average neighborhood is over 700K. Cost of fuel and car maintenance is over 60/70K monthly in recent times. School fees for 2/3 children is over 200K per term (600/800K annually). Feeding takes over 100K monthly. Utilities and other miscellaneous dey ooo. Best thing na just to save enough and japa.

Smile, Baba salary can't just be enough, the funniest thing is wen your salary increases other . So, one needs a multi source of income, This issue depend on individual oh. Out of no way, there is way.

U dnt have to change the rim, changing the rim and tyre will be costly, just get a bigger tyre, u don't have to disturb urself, go with the car to tyre dealer tell him u need a bigger tyre. U will just place the one u want to buy beside the one in ur car, u will notice a little height increase in the tyre.

So, by the time u replace all the 4, u will realize the car is higher than it was.

My car is Matrix and the rim is that follow come Toyota rim, and I used Tokunbo tyre that time, about 2 years now, no issue.

Yes, u can raise your car, if u can be very careful wen speeding; either by changing the tyres to a higher one, or rising the spring.

In my personal opinion buying higher tyres is better, there costly.

Wen u raise your car it violate the technicality behind the weight of the car and amount of air permissible to enter under the car during high speed.

The size of the tyre that comes with the car is perfect for the weight of the car by not allowing plenty air to enter under the car in high speed. Therefore, making it easy to maneuver wen driving

so, wen u raise it the car will become very light in higher speed, therefore, swinging anyhow except wen u are load

With time u will get used to it and take a very good caution wen driving.


Raising it is a better option in our own country, if not for anything, those people wey dey target bumps and stay there, so as to collect money from u.


Ur car will clamp the bumps with ease and u will be able to zoomoff, and that will save u some stress and money
