I heard him cry,
Even as harsh and terrible the fry,
He is nothing but to me a fly,
A fly whose blood must dry,
Whose hope is dashed,
Since the moments my conscience went rash.
Pulling the trigger was harsh,
I tried holding back but weakness isn't a match,
So far you don't want to end up in marsh,
And u become history unmatched.
He must die!
And indeed, casted is the die,
Rivers thus flow with his blood as dye,
Coz he had wronged the highs,
And surely, he had paid the price

A bygone
A time gone
Moments that cannot be undone
So long they've occur like barrel of gun
Yet they itch the ears as sounds of gong
Marks they left, no man can scorn
Pressures they mount, no where to run
'coz they are the sound of time gone
Echoes of past runs
Today, they ring in our head
In our hearts, they roll like storms
Our feet, they hurt like thorns
History! Who can deny your cons
For they beat high like Swahili drums

Dead they are, yet they bellow
Gone, but not left to rest and lie low
Its voices so loud and high as eye brow
Like ceaseless streams it flow
Today, they cause a row
Tomorrow, they give a role
To some, they give coal
As a boost for their strolls
To others, they give a stroke
Making them as rigid and glued as a pole
'coz it is history
And that is what it knows to do
History! Who can deny your dooms
For they echoe as voices in empty rooms

Oracle, I know for a fact that you didn't write this for humor, but I found the poem - the first stanza especially - terribly hilarious. It probably was caused by the funny way that 'surugede' sounds. Well, the hilarity faded as I read on, though, but I really should tell you that this is one of the most enjoyable poem I've read in some while.

I put brackets some words I thought were supposed to be substituted for the ones employed. And, Oracle, have you ever given it a thought to punctuate poetry?

The head of a python
Surugede!
The fang of a cobra
Surugede!
The mane of a lion
Surugede!
The claw of a leopard
Surugede!
The egg of an ostrich
Surugede!
A child that dances to the sweet melody of surugede
Surely forgets that surugede is a song of the spirits

Suddenly they broke loose as dogs from kernel
Their shouts ring as in tunnels
All had fallen apart and nothing left to funnel
Cries rent the air
Shouts deafen the ears
Crowds pull at hairs
Hypocrisy had taken the year
The hen had finally come to roast
And relationships have gone to frost
'coz we have come to host
The will and call of Surugede
Indeed, the dance of the spirits

Very soon they stopped the funs
Now to each other, they are nothing but thorns
And following this are scorns
Tears fill the eyes
Pull downs and falls from highs
Someone must pay the price
Hates and curses are on the rise
Fists and blows flying around
Such a twist of event surely astound
Surely, all had fallen to ground
'coz here we have come to sound
