Nigerians indeed deserve all manner of treatments thrown at them by the Government. No one, not a single person have shown us what law the man contravened to warrant denying him a right he even paid for. Except there exist a law that says he shouldn't be married (which will be an absurd law), this is plainly discrimination and abuse of fundamental human rights.

The Registrar should be sued and it is very heart breaking that from page 1-5, only a scanty number of post actually condemned the abuse

Well... Someone posted my mind up there. I've been thinking about this lately. I'm hustling my butt out in a strange land, my wife and kid are at home and the boy will probably be imagining that I am not a responsible father. . Whereas, all I'm doing is to give him a good pedestal in life, while trying to see how they will join me. He won't talk to me on phone and will probably be seeing the mom as the provider


My own submission, take care of your family as a responsible husband and father. But, don't sleep on it o... Prepare for ur old age. I never wish or pray to be dependent on any kid or wife in my old age. God take me instead of such.

I go with the guy that recommended USA. If you really have penchant for studying BIOCHEMISTRY, come to the US. It's easier than you think. I can put you through, if ONLY you will be serious about it. I dislike people who will want to cut corners.

I can put ANYONE through also. However here are my "personal" requirements:

- Be ready to put in some hours/weeks/months of heavy STUDY
- You will have to make some personal payments by yourself (GRE, application fees to school, SEVIS etc). All shouldn't take you upto 1m, and you don't need to have the money all at once. I won't help you with any money
- The moment you suggest or display lack of academic willingness, I am out!

I'm doing this to help as many academic inclined "STEM" students as I could.

it depends on what you want after your studies. If you want graduate studies scholarship, chemistry is heavily funded. If you want to work in Food industry, production line then food science.

OP, Olamitide gives you a great advise. I will advise that you go for Chemistry (you have a greater opportunity ahead of you in research in Western world). Chemistry programmes in the US are well funded and they sought after bright African students. I believe, if you know what you are doing, a Chemist can find his feet, even in a food manufacturing company. But if you will put in for chemistry, DON'T make less than a 2:1. My guys in Chemistry here are getting Post Docs and Internships uo and down, while the rest departments are not having it rosy. If you will be a serious student, I can guide you through.

@The guy arguing that Chemistry and Chemical Engineering are the same... That is far from true. They aren't same. They are 2 different disciplines with scopes widely apart! Same applies to Electrical Engineering and Physics Electronics. Geology and Minning Engineering aren't even the same (lol). Please, don't argue such again and be humble enough to seek knowledge.
