Smells and look like scam! So pathetic!

I got my OAU BSc transcript this month, I ordered via ETX since October, 2019. That's 3 years interval. I was almost sent away from my programme here due to a lack of BSc transcript. However, my UNILAG MSc transcript took approximately 2 weeks to get here.

PS: It was a thug of war, before I finally got the transcript. Prayer mountains in US sef know that a Nigerian dey look for his transcript

On sighting this, I said "oh, Chrisjane (or whatever) must be an authority in this field to be cited as a definite source of a definition". It's most unfortunate that the lecturer can't even acknowledge that "Chrisjane (or whatever) is a faceless entity - anyone can be Chrisjane".

The lecturer failed at "basic reasoning" and I can imagine how he would COMPEL his students to buy his evidence of failure.

Transcript request has now been made easy, as you there is a platform which works directly with your institution on your behalf. Ext.ng. I paid 8,880 online ( you can only get such deal in OAU) and my payment was confirmed immediately.

I hope they attend to it fast, as I just learnt that NASU are currently on strike. You guys can google

Thank you o. Really?! I can't believe ALL I'm reading here. The situation in this country has mis-configured many people's brain. CONSENT IS EVERYTHING! Going to a Teaching hospital doesn't mean you are a guinea pig. It is the right of a patient to be informed that students will be brought over to examine you. Now, you can't even compel the patient to accept. It is against his/her fundamental rights. Infact, before ANY Doctor examines you, he should seek your consent to touch you.

Why are we so lackadaisical about these things? Here in the US, I am required to inform my students that I am going to be recording the Teaching sessions. If any of them objects, I dare not record. That is even a recording that is for their own benefit o.

Now, I am not in anyway demeaning Drs... And asking for consent doesn't in any way diminish learning. It only mean that we recognise and respect our rights as human.

Is the sale of admission form deadline the same for the screening exercise.

Please I need someone to explain the American voting system to me and other ignorant nairalanders who may not understand.

Let me try to explain as much as I can in very SIMPLE terms. I hope you will understand:

1. The USA voters have 3 choices of voting: (a) receiving & sending their ballot paper via Post office (b) going early to the voting place (polling unit) to cast vote before election day (d) in-person voting on the LAST election day (November 3)

2. The REAL date for presidential election is NOVEMBER 3rd. However, each States opened option for people to vote early and avoid rushing on that day. So, early voting for some state is between October 6 - October 30. Where u can run to the polling center and cast ur vote early enough.

3. Similarly, some people requested for their ballot papers to be sent to them via post office. These people must fill the ballot and return them through the post mail. These are collated in each State.

4. Currently, the vote counting have started. However, until November 3, which will be the last day of election, no one can predict the winner

5. In USA, you don't win the election because you have the highest number of people's vote (popular vote). Hillary won Trump by over 3m votes, yet still lost the election because Trump won by electoral college votes.

6. For example, let's say BUHARI the popular votes because of the high population in Northern Nigeria, but he did not win in more than 18 states. He will loose the election. He must win IN more than 18 states before he can be declared winner in the USA. However, USA doesn't use only number of state. Each State have different numbers of electorate votes due to their sizes.

7. Some state may have 15 slots, while some will have just 3 slots. So, some states are more important than others.

8. USA have 538 electoral college votes across all the States. Winner of the election must have over 270 of these votes. Hillary, though was voted for by many people, did not have a well spread victory. So Trump won.

I didn't request for emergency o. I just sent a mail to them asking if emailed i-20 is accepted, as against their previous mail.

My school DSO actually asked me to send the mail to the embassy

Guys, I can't seem to be able to fill a new ds160 form. The page keeps bouncing back. Am I the only one experiencing this? It is so annoying especially since I cannot schedule an appointment with the old ds160 form. Can someone try this from their end? I had that issue last week also. I wasted more than 5hours both on PC and phone. I used VPN (orbot) and it was sooooo smooth.

My school insisted on not mailing the i-20 to me, as the DSO insisted she had spoken with Homeland Security and the DHS has communicated the Nigerian embassy to accept emailed i-20.

She now requested that I mail the embassy and send their response to her. I mailed them on Wednesday and they replied this morning. Please check the response below:

NB: There is emergency Lagos appointment dates, even if you don't have any appointment at all. I was mailed on that also.

I understand from your view but you realize this is Nigeria and the US embassy does not trust Nigerians when it comes to issues like these where fraud/forgery can easily take place. I will advise you insist that your schoo sends the original (agree to pay) so save yourself from outward denial. Thou the cost must not be smiling but it worth it

My people, I have a question and I will appreciate answers. The "tensed" mail sent by the embassy spoke about emailed and mailed i-20. I want us to discuss what is really meant about it.

Now, I have a former i-20 reflecting FALL, 2020 which was sent to me in hardcopy form. However, my uni have sent a new one to me (soft copy) reflecting SPRING 2020. Both still possess SAME SEVIS number. Meaning that they only updated my SEVIS record.

My school even sent a mail asking us to go to the embassy with a downloaded and printed copy of DHS COVID-19 guidelines asking embassies to admit Emailed i-20.

MY QUESTION: Looking at the content of the mail sent by the embassy, to what extent does it affect my situation?

As long as you've not scheduled an appointment with the old one, I think you can fill a new one. You just need to change the confirmation number on cgi to the new one before scheduling an appointment. And... if it's not yet up to a year that you made the MRV fee payment, it's still valid

This is not so true sir. You can fill another ds160 even after scheduling appointment. It must just be done before 72 prior to interview date. This is from their website:

"If you made a new DS-160 after scheduling an appointment, please log in to your profile and update your DS-160 confirmation number on the “Update Profile” page at least two business days prior to your visa interview appointment. ... Note that your visa application will be processed based on this DS-160 confirmation number."
