...and its still a big shame that their sharia laws arent targeted to people of influence.
When they (boko boys and the jambites) ask for the hands of their corrupt gov'nors, commissioners and LG chairmen which is the penalty for theft under sharia laws, then they would have my attention.

Blowing up churches cos u cant understand why a church shld exist within "muslim territory" is very petty...aim for the big guns.they exist within ur territory.
if i were a gov'nor for a day,i would send every non-indegine amputated beggar back to his/her home. if ur sharia law cuts ur hand(s) for stealing, then the same sharia law shld provide alternative means for ur sustenance and not expect u to live under the benevolence of people whose religion u call infidels...hhow the fvck do u guys reason?
Politics / Re: JAMBS Claim Responsibility For Soldiers Ambushed In Kogi by oradee: 11:54am On Jan 22, 2013
hmm...a new group called JAMB?

I still wonder why these people dont wanna take their balls in their hands and declare a state of independence in the north like they did in Northern Mali, that way we would have a clear cut picture of their acts cos they still shady bout their actions

And i think its a big shame using Allah as a coverup for ur actions.are u more muslim than the muslims in Dubai and Abu dhabi?

for those clamoring for sharia laws, remember the cartoon called Aladin? His hands wld have been chopped off if not for the intervention of princess Jasmine (a woman)..go figure!!!

ROCKSTAND1:

My dear the man is the head of the home. The head never takes instructions from any part of the body. Any home where the woman reigns or where she dominates the man is not a good home. It will negatively impact the children especially the females because they'd expect their own husbands to be subservient to them as well. I have friends whose marriages are dead today simply because their wives were over bearing. One of them dumped his well paid job here in Nigeria to join his wife who ordered him to come join her raise children and do houseboy work in UK. My friend actually sent this girl to UK just to have their first baby and then she decided to stay, now they are divorced and he is back here in 9ja doing very well and even remarried. Women are just wonderful creatures, if you had your way you would open a thread on why men don't get pregnant and bear children abi?
wink

Have u read The Audacity of Hope by Barrack Obama? The chapter under family? The then serving senator changed the diapers of malia while Michelle slept. No nigerian Man wld ever do that given such a position in this country.
its the little things that increases the bond in a family. Our parents did what they did in their time cos thats all they knew how to do. your cultrue and tradition shld be a living thing that get modified as times and society changes (the world isnt static). If u knw better,do what works for ur marriage.Pride has no place in a marriage.
how many many men today have sat their mothers down to ask her what part of the marriage she felt challenging? many men are so used to seeing women work without complaining and the minute she cries out,its seen as a sign of laziness/weakness.
Truth be told,no matter how much the ladies clamor for equal rights,we know that once the babies start coming, the bulk of the responsibilty wld still rest on the shoulder of the mum. Cos whether the man brings bacon home or not,she knows her family has to eat (or why do u think petty trade started if the men were comfortably taking care of their homes financially as they always claim they do)
Family / Re: Why Men Don't Help-Out With Domestic Chores by oradee: 5:53pm On Jan 15, 2013
many men comment bout protecting and providing financially yet i know quite a number of men whose wife pays partly/fully the rents, takes up either dstv/fuel bills, clothing for the kids sometimes,etc...how much do all men earn that they brag bout their financial role?

yet whether u earn a monthly paycheck or not (salary workers),whether u look for contracts and u find or not, ualways expect a home cooked meal, neat appartment and a home u can go to,yet all she asks for is assistance...not thats shes tranfering her responsibiliies permanatly to u...

Petraman: Beside this, if u continue helping ur wife, and either ur friend or family see u doing such chores, they'll take u as a fool, dat u've been given charms. Whenever dis happens, u feel embarrassed

thats strange,a grown-a$s man is bothered bout people think bout now he runs his home wif his wife? grin grin

do u all know that President Obama changed malia's diapers when michelle slept sometimes, and we all wonder why their love is so enviously strong?

http: You make ur home the way you want it to be, every home is different, so pls leave White people out of this cos when u talk about family, everone here know that they have failed 100%, they have nothing to emulate regard family values and all of those divorce will come out.

There is no equality between a man and a woman, you can't compare a man and woman together, compare a man to another man, likewise woman.
Our roles and responsibilities are different, the day you stick to that rules, the better things work out. May be you should ask yourself why men die before female mostly in marriages.... Its a must men must provide, protect, guide and bear the brunt on the relationship...

if u know this, then why wld he come and nag bout going stuff at home for the benefit of his own family?
he obviously isnt used to doing stuff around the house.

dear mothers, the earlier u integrate ur sons into domestic living from their early childhood, the fewer such posts make front page on NL..

lukaino: To start with, my responsibility as the head of the family is to provide for the family regardless of whatever my wife makes(A woman's money is a woman's money), also, it is my duty to spend time to think about how to ensure that the family as a whole moves forward- i do this when she's busy with the domestic chores. Also, as Africans, domestic chores is meant to be a woman's duty which she does with pride, teaching her daughters also. Growing up, i can't remember seeing my father wash dishes , sweep or wash clothes; the guy spent his time providing for the family to the point of ensuring that my mother does not have anything to do with providing for anyone. This is African and thats what the outside world finds amazing with us.
I am not an advocate of working the woman whom i love to death; thats why i take out some very strong tasks for myself sometimes; for this i deserve nothing but appreciation(for over stepping my boundaries grin)

africa aint nig, speak for ur country!

what type of chores are u afraid of doing?
since farming is almost a thing of the past, what does the son do while the daughter is helping mum?

and when the mum has all sons, she has to hire househelps (human being) to do what her own sons (super humans) shldnt do cos of tradition and culture?

one doesnt have to grow balls to know whats its like to be a man.

a woman's money has never been 100% percent hers and you know this! if she marries u and answers ur last name,by all means pls live up to ur role as the husband. now if shes married to u and she splits the financial cost of running the home wif u,then u shld split the efforts in running your home...

the whites hardly kep domestic helps (unlike nig)cos both the man and woman jointly run the home cos at the end,the home is theirs not the husband's or wife'.

Islam for Muslims / Re: The Blood Qur’an – Written With The Blood Of Saddam Hussein by oradee: 5:43pm On Jan 07, 2013
hmm...im deeply impressed by Hussein's actions but was this done before or after his death?

but whats the islams prerogative on this?
is it because it was blood used or cos its Saddam's blood used to write the qur'an?
if all the muslims here use their blood to re-write the qur'an,wld the news make front page?
is there a law that guides who has the right to re-write the qur'an and with what material? (blood)
is this new qur'an holier than the already existing one or just a reason to make tourist attraction?

well, before i'm abused by the fanatics here, pls answer the questions first..

You don't know anything about me so don't pretend like you do. I will NEVER meet you in real life and could care less about your existence even if I did. If you want to talk to the Yorubas go and do that, I do NOT claim to speak for them. However, I speak with FACTS: The SS states hate biafra first before anything else and that is why they fought on the Nigerian side. After the war, they would NEVER even let you back in your so-called property till tomorrow or is there NO abandoned property again? The Yoruba you say hates you gave you your properties back with rent collected on your behalf paid in FULL, I don't claim to speak for them. If you have contrary evidence, SHOW IT HERE.

As per oil, there is oil in several states of Nigeria, Lagos, Ondo, Kogi, Edo, Rivers, Bayelsa, etc and the little in iboland will not even be significant. Also, you will either have to refine and use it all in iboland because there's no way you will lay pipes outside biafra land or load it into any tanker for export. These are facts. Life is about making decisions, you only make YOUR own and others make theirs. You can do anything you like in biafra, within the agreement of secession (if it ever comes) but you can never question others (Nigeria) on their own decision. Just like ojuku made his decision and cried later, he still remains responsible for that decision and its consequences including the killing of 3 M ibos. You can't blame someone else for your decisions or expect them to feed you or cloth you after you have made your choice.

your definition of facts is funny...do u think its only Biafra that wanted/wants to secede? the north are tired of power not being in their people hence BH, Ogonni just declared some funny indepedence months back. many Nigerians have outrightly said Nigeria shld split in two if Boko Haram dont want peace...

and as for secession agreement, make me laugh in ur local language...do u think we are living in the '30's? Wake up,we are in a new millennium and counting. No one lives a slavery mentality ok.

i asked before and im asking again, if BH or any tribe declares independence, wld u pick up arms to fight for our umity like our fathers did in the past?

My dear, you don't really feel what's happening in Naija. Am not a supporter of secession but Nigeria is already divided along tribal and religious lines. It can't be corrected anymore. A lot of injustices if you are from another tribe. Nigeria is already divided in our mind and if that could bring peace, lets confederate. That's the best.

we really are...we are only acting civil on the outside.

i served in crossriver and its shocking to say they have 150 indigineous languages and they identify their own by language. they dont see one as a Cross Riverian but by the tribe he comes from.
even an akwa ibom man wld take offense if called a calabar man yet,the two states were one and same before they were divided.

from the history of the bible, language was used as a dividing factor when God wanted to disrupt the tower of babel...language really is a powerful tool.

The US and Uk and any other world power are strong on the world front cos they share a common language...Nigeria cant boast of that.
The only way forward is for us to look inward and accept ourselves and unite despite our diversity.

CyberG: I think the judges should do justice to this case, so let us see. In my opinion though, let the ibos secede but their will be conditions which will NOT be negotiable:

1. Every ibo man will NOT have access or be allowed to live anywhere else that is current Nigeria, except iboland: Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi. They shall have ONLY 3 months to relocate to iboland. Every ibo who is not will be in contravention of secession agreement, will be liable for grave penalty, treason, become a legitimate target which includes capital punishment with all other options on the table.

2. They will be responsible for their local debts to banks, etc in their new country

3. If Nigeria is NOT good enough now, it WILL NOT be good enough for them later on ANYTHING, so no access to Nigeria's ports, airspace, oil reserves not on iboland, coast, currency, etc.

4. There will be NO economic cooperation with it and ANY parts of Nigeria.

5. Their military will be limited to 50,000 or a number as deemed fit by agreement at secession. Like Iran and other states, they shall not be allowed to make or buy heavy weapons, nuclear technology, etc.

6. There shall be an international body (including representatives from Nigeria) to monitor their compliance to 5 above.

7. Any break to the agreement will be met with BLUNT, BRUTAL FORCE that is not aimed at correction as Nigeria will not waste any efforts or resources bogged down in a stupid war over a land less than the size of Benue State. Also, Nigeria shall maintain permanent military bases, missile shields, and forward operating bases in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta, Edo, Benue and Kogi States. Nigeria will also assemble new military divisions to be stationed off the Atlantic coasts with a fleet of aircraft carriers, battleships. Dive bombers and heavy bombers shall be stationed in all states mentioned above. Drones shall be allowed to roam biafran skies and fly at not less than 18,000 ft.

8. The agreement shall remain in perpetuity and immutable for NOT less than 100,000 years!

The next era will see mankind do amazing and mind blowing stuff which would have been considered impossible in this current era.

although im not conversant wif this Mayan prophesy, i get ur point.
There was the industrial era which ushered in iron birds (planes) and iron fishes (submarines)...etc
