Kizito96,i think you need to be educated. Aviation minister is working under GEJ who employed her and supervises her. What she did was with the approval or even directive of the president. You should therefore ask the Foreign affairs minister to borrow a leaf from his aviation colleague and not asking the president to borrow a leaf from his minister. Some of you are just not informed.

so r u trying to say that everything that any govt official does must be approved by GEJ simply cos he's the president?

@ PHYSICS

We are here discussing how the name Nigeria being dragged in the mud everywhere because Nigeria no matter what still remains our country, the country your father land you come back to crying whenever they deport you for mere suspicious or unjustifiable reasons and you are here talking about beating women?

If you have issues with people beating women close to you take it to the family or crime section keep us out of it here.

please spare us the sentiments,
ur saying that cos ur still within the boarders,
international achievers are just called nigerians by nationality nothing more,
i keep saying it, with the way we nigerians behave within our country towards one another (treating our ladies bad, forming local sharpness, unnecessary jazz, etc), if we try that one abroad, we wld get more than deportation,
they should keep deporting jare, they think everywhere is naija, mtchewww
Business / Re: The Fading State Of Our Polymer Notes by oradee: 3:49pm On Mar 05, 2012
sarkee:

I believe Nigerian currency is among those high quality currency you can get in the world, check the security features in them and the texture, compared with some and you will see the difference.
I still believe that our attitude of handling our currency is among the major problem, imaging people deliberately trying to put on lighter on a polymer notes just to see how it will look like, imaging how some market women use their mouth to bite or tear off part of Naira to confirm it's genuineness, or some people washing notes with detergents, haba!
Lastly you should know that Nigeria is a cash society, where, I guess more than 70% of transaction is done in cash, so the rate at which Naira notes goes round is so high that within a short time it just got old or mutilated.
It's not even every country that can afford to print a polymer notes, but I believe our attitude of handling currency made the then CBN Gov. Soludo to introduce it with the hope that it will last longer.
Lets change our attitude and culture of handling our National Currency with respect, before Naira vex and comot for our hand, lol

like seriously, or u mean just the Third world countries grin grin

if we cant trust our minting company, why cant we just import the right quality,
Your saying that our attitude is what is fading the polymer note? (finding that hard to believe)
and so what can u say for the others that get dirtier than a 5yr old's school socks?
Business / The Fading State Of Our Polymer Notes by oradee: 1:39pm On Mar 02, 2012
Has anyone noticed that the newly introduced polymer notes have started fading. I hold a N20 or N50 and i'm like WTF,
even the higher currencies get so dirty i cant even put it in my wallet, and one thing I've noticed is that some currency notes are not well cut into shape that i have to double check to make sure its not fake, (the margin between the top and bottom isn't equal)
i donno what chemical the US/Brits use to print their notes but if we also import our currencies,we should at least import quality notes,

all the men barking injustice and unfavorable/bias judicial system, are u gonna enforce a pre-nup or post-nup before and after marriage?

if NO, then sharraap, !!!!! >: grin
Family / Re: Nigerian Billionaire Battles British Wife Over $21million Divorce Payout by oradee: 5:33pm On Feb 27, 2012
but then again,to the dude about to get hitched faster than most peeps, wld you honestly have ur wife sign a pre-nup now cos i believe u do pray to be wealthy someday.

Alot of our Naija men praise white/foreign women in dating and marriage. they claim they dont nag, not materialistic, and dont give the regular wahala native nigerian girls give.

so now that she has spent 15yrs with him and wants out with his cash, he now calls her gold digger while running from pillar to pole looknig for a way to save his money. (didnt he see those traits in her before marriage or was he carried away with the mentality that if its white, its gotta be right).

u men need to draw the line on ur double standards life in relation to local and foreign girls.
i might not know who wants out and what the reasons are behind it but then again our nigerian men should stop playing smart ass all the time, cos the end of ur sense is the beginning of another mans sense,

Claus:

It's worth noting that most lawyers of unmarried high net worth individuals are actually advising them NOT to marry. Thus we can see that the greatest aversion to divorce laws comes from the law community itself!

However, I don't think the political machinery in the West has the stomach to redress this balance just yet. The direction of political correctness right now is towards more rights and benefits for women and no politician is brave enough to champion anything that would bring fewer rights/benefit to women. fathers4justice have been fighting for years now, but no one's really listening. With time one would hope that common sense prevails and the laws are re-balanced.

For me, the greatest eye opener was when I went to watch Saturday league footbal for under 15 boys. These young boys train like twice a week and then play league football every Saturday as well as being full time pupils in secondary school. My talent scout eye spotted at least one future premiership player (who would therefore earn £millions). The truth is that when that time for premiership football comes, he can be married to a girl for 1, 2, 5 or 10 years and if they divorce, she is entitled to a considerable chunk of that money even if the machinery that produced that money had already been set in place long before the girl came into the picture.

I'm not arguing against a reasonable upkeep for a spouse and children in the case of a divorce. However, law or no law, the integrity of someone who wants to be a millionaire off the back of someone else's sweat will always be called into question.

Like a couple of people have said, you can't put a value on the intangible roles a spouse plays. Why then do we try to do it in the event of a divorce?

would all the single and married ladies pls answer this

nex:

Nigerians, I'm very sorry for you people O! GEJ is about to increase the country's external debt by 141% simply for 'completion' of pipeline projects and there are some morons justifying this.

If he needs $8 billion for pipelines projects in the final stages of completion, then how much was spent on the pipelines projects entirely? $80 trillion??! How can any President justify spending 30% of the country's annual budget on pipelines?! Na gold dem use do the pipes?! Na Russia e wan connect the pipes to?!

This is the same reason why the Greeks are going insane all over the place, and here we are, with some even lauding this broaddaylight theft. The President didn't even specify which pipelines he needs more than 30% of the annual budget for. If 70% of our budget is for Recurrent Expenditure, and 30% is for completing pipelines projects, then it means there's nothing left. Shall Nigerians live by pipelines alone?!

Nicely said,
i wld never understand why people justify corruption.
if he was still gonna borrow and plunge us into debt, why did he partially 'remove' subsidy?
