@ portsmouth86, congratulations I told u. |
@ portsmouth86, your hubby should get his passport withing Monday to Wednesday. Take me for my words and visa issued on Jan 27 the day u went for interview.... congratulations Mr and Mrs Bakare |
The date got nothing to do with the visa if u re successful. They start counting ur 30 days from the date of ur decision. Like someone i know was met to travel first week of Nov but got visa issue on Dec 4. Then the 30 days starts from dec 4 and got passport at Ikeja visa center on the 16th Dec. And the 30 days expires Jan 3. Just two weeks to book tickets and travel then pick BRP card within 10 days of arrival in the UK. Hope it's helps |
@ Faithadunni, congratulations |
Congratulations bro @ Jangolo |
Happy for you, @ Faithadunni. It's better he waits, maybe tomorrow wed or Thursday before the end of the week they will email him |

@ mimiamal, it's best to go to ur bank, they will help u out, if u bank with Diamond bank they are good with this type of issue. Just know ur card wouldn't work outside Nigeria |
Yes. International Operations and Visas Home Office, UK Border Agency P.O. Box 3468, Sheffield S3 8WA United Kingdom |

@ nma01, yes, I apply with more than two years valid family visa for a spousal visa and it was issue but asked my partner who I come to visit during this times when she went for interview |
Calm down, mine took 13 weeks, have not got supporting documents back and before I got the BRP cards was hell too, have to email them again cos I was at the post office giving to me with decision letter and no card Email them before the card was sent, it's over a month now with my wife no supporting yet but got the card. Just be patient ok, for ur 12 weeks to complete and u will hear good news ok. Best of luck |
Yes @ 7508, she can use the NARIC to rate her certificate if she got first degree in Nigeria. Get her transcript and original certificate and a letter from here school of study to prove she was taught in English and all address to home office visa section Sheffield and still rate it too. With that no need for English test |
1. Yes, Ikeja is services pay center but will be added to your payment before u can pay if u choose Ikeja as ur point of submission. If not choose VI and u will not pay for service center. 2. Sent to Sheffield, spousal visa is not handle by UK embassy Nigeria 3. Yes. Your spouse will do but if u have all the supporting documents u can send them with DHL to Sheffield yourself that's how I did mine in Sept 4. Interviews will be done but I don't think it's 100% just tell ur spouse to get ready and guru here will help u out when the time comes and ur spouse should make her phone ready for call from Sheffield visa section 5. 12 weeks or more, mine took 13 weeks but was contacted on the 12 weeks on Wats going on about my application with them 6. Nope, within 30 - 45 mins if u re interviewed but if no interview less than that. Hope that helps |
@ portsmouth86, so sorry to hear all this, I will advice not to call them, cos that will make u pay more. It's better to go with Jangolo advice, u will get a visa with or without wedding certificate. You have been here more than twice |

Questions 1. Ur full name 2. Date of birth 3. Who u go visit in uk for past visa 4. Family history, like how many siblings, dad name, date of birth and mom too. 5. Sponsor work details 6. Where u planing to live in uk with ur sponsor 7. Uni u attended 8. Where u first met u sponsor and date u first met 9. How u communicate 10. Any prove of gift or cash sent to ur spouse 11. Where u got wedded and date 12. Course of study and wat u will be doing in the UK. That's all I can remember. Hope it's helps |
@ Jangolo, will advice u to print as much page u can cos two pages a month is too small to prove ur relationship but print more from the last six months The question u re asking for, TLS or ur sponsor interview? Which of the interview. If it's TLS u don't need interview if u have been to the UK before but if not, u will be interviewed Hope it's helps |
@ Jangolo, thanks, I pray so |
