Not having a certificate doesn't necessary mean you are dull generally. We have seen school drop outs own companies and become billionaires. But if a company or school will not accept you if you don't have a certificate despite being talented or bright according to your standards. We are talking due process here, Constitutional provisions. Friend, listen now, drop your parochial inclinations, what is right is right! And when you do the right things, there is no ground to challenge you. I hope when you have kids, you will teach them from a tender age to always do the right things. There's no substitute to it.

I’m a corp. member serving In Nnewi, Anambra. This child (see attached picture) is my neighbor’s kid and she is just 3 years old. Even at this age she has already passed through a lot; her parent thinks she is a witch and the bruises on her face were given to her by her own parents. She gets beaten almost every day and she is malnourished and skinny from starvation. It’s really heartbreaking

This girl, at this age, lives in so much fear of her parents that one day we found her hiding behind the toilet door of the corper’s lodge.

We have talked to her parents, but they still keep beating her up. We are calling on the relevant authorities to come to this girl’s rescue. It is obvious they are trying to gradually kill her. MOD kindly move this to the front page. They live at Nnewi, Anambra. Amichi. NCCF NYSC family house.

NONSO: Thank you for sharing and bringing it to light. Having said that, you are a Corper and educated, what you can do to actually make that change in this girls life is to report it to so many human rights group, women group, aid group etc that abound in Nigeria. Research it online or ask other corpers or the NYSC secretariat.

Short training courses, which usually lasts few months, doesn't equate to educational qualification. Therefore can't be used in lieu of each other.
For example, if you acquire a Microsoft applications certificate from a "Computer center" in your street, you can't possibly claim to be a BSc Computer engineer.
If you have ever designed a job C.V, you will probably know the difference.

During the period, Buhari, Shehu and co where enlisted for the military, the English officer responsible for vetting, published a list of those who wouldn't make it based on lack of educational qualification, poor reading and writing skills, hence why the officer was sacked at that time and all were allowed to continue their training. We all saw what Shehu went on to become and Buhari claiming to have what he clearly doesn't have.
Needless to say many of those on the list were northerners - this incidents were well documented.

Sometimes I feel sorry for Nigerians lack of historical knowledge of their country.

Whenever I think about the northern part of the country, I curse every leader who's emerged from that region who never deemed it fit to ensure that a large percentage of the population over there received basic education which would GUARANTEE a certain degree of respect for human lives.

IBB, Abdusalam, TY Danjuma and their late brother Abacha should bury their ugly heads in shame! They plundered the entire nation yet they couldn't provide a platform and blueprint towards ensuring a safe future for the Northern Child. The sets of killers to replace the current ones in the next 10, 15 years are currently on the streets as we speak, they are the harmless 6 year olds begging you for alms when you travel across these region. They can be saved from such an uninspiring future now but their leaders really don't care.

It's a shame Nigeria share its space with such ridiculous beings responsible for the untimely deaths of those innocent souls. However, truth must be told, the killers are nothing but a product of their environment! Nigeria should get back to its negotiation table and re-negotiate the very terms of its existence to determine if the union as it is presently constituted holds a brighter future for North and South together or an amicable separation should be tabled. This is necessary because, "na from clap na hin dance dey start"... From Southern Kaduna, it could spread to Southern Nigeria if the root cause/sponsors of these heinous killings isn't brought to justice soonest!

Take you back memory lane, in 1980, an Ibo boy or girl will travel from Enugu to kaduna, Kano, Sokoto etc to start secondary school and will be entrusted in the hands of drivers, strangers etc and she goes safely and returns and will tell tales of how strangers took care of her etc. The same thing a boy/girl from maiduguri will travel to Portharcourt or Calaba for Schooling and its all pleasant and stories of goodness and our humanity at its best, now all that is lost what we have is fake churches, with fake pastors all preaching prosperity and getting rich and acquiring wealth is Gods blessings likewise fake mosques in the North with crazy imams preaching hate and the whole populace is full of wicked people through and through. Its a shame.

You were making sense until the biafra mumuism enter your head then you became an ewu hawusaa. The solution is to vote him out in 2019 based on the things he is not doing right. At least $$ is being returned. I think what we need now is to prevail on him to deal with the thief in his administration, from grass cutters to MTN loyalists etc. Then correct the lopsided appointments etc, change your economic team, change non-performing Ministers, else you are out in 2019.

If you make a mistake and you say its too late, people will be hurt, or whatever excuse you use to justify it, it is all WRONG. The right thing to do is to CORRECT it, only then will you know peace. What she has gained is that she told the TRUTH, she should seek forgiveness of all and then of God. I am muslim, in Islam, if i wrong you, and i ask God for forgiveness, that forgiveness is not complete until i first of all ask YOU for forgiveness and sincerely beg you, now weather you forgive me or not, i will get God's forgiveness. But if i stole your money, or i was INEC chairman and you won election and i said you lost and Mr. A is now Governor, keeping quiet and asking God for forgiveness is waste of time cos i will not get that forgiveness, but if i first come to you, return your money that i stole, then ask for forgiveness, then i stand a chance of God forgiving me also, i need to tell all that you won the election and have the judgement be reversed because Mr. A lost and you won else, on the day of judgement, i will suffer the consequence and my broda it is huge. I will give you two good examples. 1. Mohammed Ali was a handsome talented fighter, he called Joe Frazier "Ugly" Gorilla, etc and Joe never forgave him although Mohammed Ali begged him and asked for forgiveness again and again. So, Mohammed Ali will most probably get God's forgiveness because he asked Joe Frazier and apologised privately and publicly to Joe. 2. IBB, annulled the June 12 election that MKO clearly won, he can say whatever, but MKO is not even around now and he has to live with that pain and hurt all his life and the hereafter. Now, maybe on the day of Judgement, God might take all IBB's good deeds and add to Abiola's own and MKO make heaven and IBB, well na him sabi... and if IBB no get good deeds, and maybe MKO stole ITT $$ and committed plenty adultery, God might carry all these bad bad things comot for MKO head put all on top IBB head then MKO go make heaven and IBB..... i dont know. So, my broda, i take God beg you check yourself well, well, this your mind set is focused on what will people say, shame, disgrace, people go look me one kind, its too late, i better take it to the grave... all that is nonsense, make restitution today, wrong is wrong no matter what and right is right. Naija and show off, before all this, the army has investigated, demoted and punished the two soldiers responsible and apologised to Mr. Cripple. Now the Gov can do his own donation which is very very good by the way, but why call for their immediate dismissal?? why pass judgement? You can use that energy to appeal/ask the army what they are doing to ensure this does not happen to the next person again, leave those two alone, they have been punished by the army already and they may have dependants, family and kids maybe, demotion and query and a bad record on their file is already enough punishment as prescribed by the army.
