I once met a girl taller than me, but was still very attracted to her and wanted to go out with her. However, she was gay and said that she likes girls now because no guy wanted her. I never understood why that happens. |
Dude, I feel your pain. My brother and I are also somewhat close to 7 ft. However, for some reason, I'm not all that attracted to short girls, but he is, and most girls also say that we both are too tall. I agree with the original poster, stop complaining and be grateful for the height that God has given you, and use it to your best advantage. |
Just so that we are clear, what constitutes a big penis? also, are there any 5'10+ women on NL? |
surface:Why is everyone falling over this chick? I highly doubt surface is female, just a troll. besides, not all tall guys have big joysticks. It varies with every person. Pay "her" no mind. |
Myself, I say that I would like a tall woman because I find height extremely attractive. Apparently, most short guys do also. I've seen many short guys with tall women, and it is due to the way that they carry themselves and their personality. From what I have seen, money does not do much to attract women, and if it does, it won't last. |
To mention pedophilia is taking thing a bit far. To his credit, the original poster did confide in us. He asks about it because he is not sure whether it is right or wrong, rather than knowing himself that what he is feeling is wrong. For him to even confess this story, his love for this girl seems to be somewhat valid. However, it is not so much the age difference (10 years? There are couples with a 20-30 year gap!) that is the problem. It is the girl's age. At 15, she may know or understand what she wants, and if she thinks she loves the original poster, she may change her mind very quickly as she matures. The OP also has to understand this, and maintain some distance from the girl until she is mature enough to know that she wants to be with him. Pedophilia comes into play if and only if the OP is having a sexual relationship with the girl, which I seriously hope he isn't, because at her age, It will cause much harm to her emotionally, especially if the relationship does not work out. The OP, if he really loves this girl, should maintain their relationship on the friendship level, and should not interfere, in any way, with her maturation. When she is somewhere around 19-20, and still feels the same way about him, they can take their relationship to the next step. This way will have many benefits, as it will allow OP to become financially stable and know that he will be entering a relationship with a solid foundation. OP: I never experienced adolescence in Nigeria, so I'm not sure how courtship works, but apparently with many people's comments, added to the constantly reoccurring theme about "disvirgining" and all, I gather that it is socially acceptable for men to pursue a sexual relationship with women they wish to marry, provided they are virgins. (feel free to correct me at any time) I implore you, DO NOT DO THIS! If you have already started, STOP! You, being the older, more mature party, is an a position of power, and it will damage her mentally and emotionally, and you will be no better than the pedophiles that the other posters are claiming you to be. This love is not worth ruining a life over, especially yours, if you get in trouble for it. Do the right thing and let her be and wait about 4-5 years. If you two were meant to be, then it shall be. At the end, the choice of what to do is up to you, but take time to really think about your situation. |
Midas02:I say keep writing, because if you continue to write, they will have no choice but to listen. I have a few ideas myself, including a regional rail system that can connect from other states and cities, but I don't know how far that will go until I can also write to them myself. |
As much as people don't like to talk about it, there are probably tons of gay Nigerians in the US. I've seen quite a few in New York and Atlanta. |
dae:I agree with this person! |
This thread is still about guys who are short, sorry about the misunderstanding, haha. I've already told the guy what he needs to do. |
biina:I'm not generalizing at all. There is no other reason for men or women to wear colored contacts(which change or enhance eye color) but for aesthetic purposes. I wasn't focusing on the visibility tints that you speak of, in which the purpose is not to change your eye color, as my last post stated; you brought the issue up, and I will close that issue by adding that everything you are saying right now is validating such views on carelessness, (Not all of us are disciplined enough or Methodical...) as you are making yet more excuses for yourself. This thread will now continue about tall girls and short guys. |
biina:And yet, you're making a sweeping statement based on only your own experience. A lot of people, including my sister (who is also nearsighted), have different lenses. Usually, what they would do is place each contact in a separate container and label them accordingly, much easier than tints, and there's usually no mix-up. Going outside to drive with mismatched lenses speaks more of carelessness, rather than issues with lenses themselves, as you could have just as easily found out, by going outside, that your lenses were mismatched before going into the car. Besides, I think you miss the point of what I have to say about color contacts, because I never spoke of visibility tints to begin with, which doesn't affect the person's eye color. I'm talking about dark, opaque contacts that only serve the purpose of making your eyes seem a different color. |
chihums:Yeah, but the girl was 23, not 15. It's not the age difference that is the problem, it's her age! What part are you not getting? |
biina:No, I don't wear contacts, but my sister does, and I'm close to many people who do wear them. Even with the 'color coded lenses' you speak of, people are at the same risk of mixing lenses. At the same time it takes to distinguish one color from another, one can easily identify the right clear lens to put on. The consequences of putting on the wrong contacts is not that dire. My sister mismatches lenses every once in a while. I've never heard her say, "Oh my God, I've mismatched again, I'm going to need colors." She simply takes them off and puts them on again in the right place. No 'simple human error' warrants the need for color lenses. |
@Poster https://youhadbetterknow.com/knowledgezone/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/chris_hansen.jpg But in all seriousness, If not a troll, you should wait at least 3-5 years before trying to be involved with her at that level. The age gap is not that bad, but she is much too young and immature. You may think that she loves you and all, but she can change her mind and outlook on life as often as the second hand moves. You need to back away, because you are going to also get yourself into a lot of trouble going after a 15 year old. Besides, how did you end up meeting this girl anyway? |
biina:I don't even know where to begin... This entire statement reads more as an excuse to justify such items, rather than a sensible reason. If one's eyesight is bad enough that you can't see the correct lens to put on, then color contacts should be the last thing on the person's mind. In fact, that person shouldn't be wearing contact lenses at all. Also, that green/blue system probably wouldn't work with the type of person you described. It would be as easy to mix up as regular colorless lenses, and make the person look even stranger, now that she appears to have heterochromia, or different pigmentation for each eye. The reason for my disapproval of color contacts are:
[li]She may think that it enhances her beauty/makes her more exotic looking, but in actually, it does the opposite, by hiding or masking her natural beauty[/li] [li]It makes the wearer appear less confident of herself[/li] [li]It's distracting! And not in a good way. Instead on looking at you, I'm wondering about how it is possible for a dark skinned girl to have bright purple or grey eyes.[/li]
|
No2Atheism:I mean, I understand the prescription needs, but there are clear lenses available. |
ThoniaSlim:Shallow statement? I don't think it was a shallow statement at all. I know fully well what corrective lenses are, and how they function. However, my question was not why you wear corrective lenses, as I understand that. What I don't understand is why some black women (African, European, whatever) go for wild colors that don't occur naturally anywhere in this world. I find it quite unattractive. Got that? |
There is nothing like true love. Rather its always True Money and when you have money, women are like rats smelling cheese in a garbage yard and would swoon over you. Once the money is gone, the so called love evaporates and she moves on to the next money lord. Its that simple. I have never seen or met a girl that would date a fairly average guy with little income or money without her complaining, getting jealous, getting agitated or not demanding or pressuring the guy to make more dough so as to sustain her. Its always best to have that money and use it to deal with them since they are all hungry b***tches and wharf rats. A friend once told me that all Single Chicks should be named MONICA COMFORT ie MONEY-CAR-COMFORT (MONI-CA) That's why i prefer sleeping with them and dropping Money by their side to buy their weavon or to do their nails instead of me buying a real gift or taking them out to have a nice time. They should be treated like Prostitutes more often because if they have their way, they will run you guys down because its their nature to take advantage of you when your emotional towards them. So anyday, anytime, Money over Bitches! Greedy Leeches waiting to suck any man dry!
Ooh, I smell a troll. Is there anything else insightful that you want to add to the topic? |
ThoniaSlim:I never understood why black women wear color contact lenses. What is so unattractive about the eye color you are born with? |
@poster You are probably looking for the wrong kind of females. While it's important for people to set standards for an ideal spouse, there are some cases, especially with the women that you talk about, where people are too vain. At 5'7", while not extremely short, you will be at a height disadvantage with many women from 5'5" to 5'10". Why 5'5"? Considering that most heels add ~3 inches to a woman's height, most will feel uncomfortable appearing taller than their man. Women at 5'10" are already as tall as the average male, and are usually a little bit more confident with being with someone slightly shorter, as there are less taller guys to work with. I would say that not all women are height conscious, especially tall women. However, you must not use your stature as a crutch, and also reevaluate and improve how you approach girls, so that they will see you as more than someone that is this height or that height. You have to show them the type of man you are on the inside. |
I always have the appropriate image macro for that statement:
|
wait, what? |
You know who I think is also pretty? Jazmine Sullivan, she could be considered curvy, and she has a good height. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3b/S5003691.jpg |
It's quite ok, I've seen things that will make anyone's stomach turn. I could get used to it, haha. |

NWAKAIBEYA:I don't think there's anything less attractive than a desperate man. If you want a girlfriend that badly, you made the wrong first step by making such a post. |
