Hello house, I am applying for a VV for a retreat. Do I need to book a refundable flight ticket, what documents do I upload and which one should be submitted directly to IRCC, Does my sponsor need to contact IRCC for anything in regards to my application and what airline should I book ahead with since I don't have a US visa and what documents are worth sending directly to IRCC or VFS (if any) for visit visa

Here's some of the things i intend to submit:
BANK STATEMENT
BUSINESS CAC
Landed properties.
Father landed property
Invoices
Letter for purpose 
professional certifications
Explanation of my Finances with subheadings explaining , introduction,assets and investments,employment details, personal business.
stamped page on passport for previous travels
Screenshot of sponsor website along with their letters of invitation
Bookings of the hotels we'll be staying
CV
Current lease agreement for where.I currently live

My own 9 months now i have to beg this agent before he will even reply my message he keeps saying i should be patient no response yet and i want to apply UK through school but i need to know the Canada decision first so i can know what to apply. How am I deceiving him? All I said was that IRCC will issue a visa if they think the man is eligible. We all know that the refusal rate is high, but some lucky folks are still getting it, even those with zero travel history.

I helped my sister and her daughter apply in November. Their visas were approved in February. Her only travel history was Ghana.

Her itinerary was February 10 to 19. Going on vacation with her child.

Booked 2 hotels to spend 5 nights in Toronto and 4 nights in Montreal.

Her account balance then was 7.3 million naira and $2200 in a domiciliary account.

Not worth continuing this back and forth with you because how does asking people to submit at DHL fix the service outage? Please have a nice day!

I’m not sure what you’re on about. I shared mine + my friend’s experience which you did not witness and asked if anyone else has experienced it and you go on full mode defensive.

VFS is not connected with DHL but they have shared services, no? If you think Nigerians would not find a way to exploit it, then you’re just being dishonest.

For anyone else going to submit their passports, please be aware of the racket going on and don’t fall for it.

Oh I see. Looks like the system is down everyday because this was yesterday and today (different instances). They are literally charging each person 22,500.

I think there’s a racket going around with passport submission in the Lagos Centre. My brother got into the centre to submit and was told there was no network and he had to use DHL. My friend called me and said her driver was told to pay the same.

Has anyone else experienced the same?

Pls I need advice on what to do, my family VV was denied yesterday morning.
Biometric date was Feb 10th for a church conference coming up May15.
Reason stated was
I am not satisfied you have a legitimate business purpose in Canada. It's also the same on my wife's profile. And my son's who is under 3 reason was different.
His reason stated that I am not satisfied you will leave at the end of your stay. Also the purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
Does this mean the conference isn't legitimate or what because a friend of mine also received the same reason as mine and my wife and other of my friend reason is same as my son.
Pls what can we do in this situation. Your candid advice will go along way for me and my friends on what next to do. Thanks

I've noticed there is a telling lack of understanding of British politics here. They are the kings of double-speak aka British diplomacy. When a British politician says something, you dont jump at it. You first take a step back and rumminate over why they said that.

I dont speak to defend politicians but Carneys profile is brilliant. Whether he would make a good PM is to be seen.

I got a mail from ircc to requesting for my passport. My question is can i submit to the embassy in nigeria or it has to be the one in uk?. Another question is can i send my passport to ircc via dhl from nigeria?..thanks

I'm curious - why would students who didn't show up result in IRCC being strict about visas? What's the connection please?

After one year, I received the Passport Request email. I have a little issue right now, my biometrics expires in 2027 and I would like to extend it before submitting.

Please, I need advice regarding my cousin’s visitor visa application. She applied in October 2023 through an agent, but since then, there has been no update. The agent keeps saying “nothing yet” and refuses to provide her login details for the IRCC account.

Is there any way for her to check the status of her application herself? Can she recover access to the account or request GCMS notes to know what is going on?

Any advice on what she can do at this point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Lol, you said it's not a big deal. Go to bank and ask for the requirements.
You all paint this Canada like Nigeria is far better so you encourage people to stay back and enjoy.
A good percentage of people in Nigeria get jobs via connections. Just know who's in charge and that's all. They're people in high end of their career that don't know what a job interview is like. People like that relocate abroad and start shouting Canada is bad upandan. To some people, it's just the change of environment they need and they can pick up perfectly regardless. People like that are on this platform (they read about the current changes happening and they are aware) But then you sing it to them from a generalized perspective.

Tell us how many job interviews you attended.
How you leveled up with skills and still can't find anything to match because immigrants full everywhere.
Certificate you acquired since you left Nigeria.
Tell us from your own experience like the lady I mentioned @geekybabe did and landed a job eventually.

You walk into offices in Nigeria and you're surprised how some of these folks get to find their way there. Imagine if people like that travel out to face the real competition of getting a job

i know three ladies that got married while on study/ post graduate to 9ja men who are PR or Citizens. Was it for love abi for security or na collabo. I cannot ask them sha 😂.
I don’t blame some ladies with PR for being too careful its hard to recover from being used .

Yes,
Go to NECO office in Lagos. It took about 10 working days to send to the school. It's not free though, can't remember how much was paid because it was sent done around December 2024.

some immigrants are looking for other countries to go. Some have accepted their fate to go back home and retire. We can now see that the whole immigration drive wasn’t solely done to solve labour shortages. It was to drive up demand/prices of real estate, services, education tuition and other consumption
