aminat2000:Absolutely, scholarships vary, and some fully funded ones, supported by the government or universities, don't require personal bank statements. People I know have successfully obtained visas by emphasizing academic excellence and financial need in their SOPs, stemming from their challenging parental financial backgrounds. It appears contradictory for visa officers to demand substantial bank accounts when the full funded scholarship is specifically granted to alleviate the financial burden of applicants in difficult situations with expectional academic talent. |
Madukachase:Oga, only discuss what you're certain about. If you're on a full scholarship covering living expenses (as many scholarships only cover partial costs), and you're fortunate to secure a fully funded scholarship, proof of funds isn't necessary. Simply present evidence of the scholarship, especially if it's a departmental one; your admission letter serves as confirmation. I'm acquainted with numerous scholarship students in Canada who didn't need to show proof of funds (ur bank statement) when fully funded! |
Vannie12:Firstly, check the tuition fee. Is your scholarship full or partial, and does it cover your living cost, which is about 21,000 CAD as required by IRCC ? Then, you need to show proof of how you will fund the part not covered by the scholarship |
Tunneller:if you relative is admitted to a school in Canada he will need apply study visa totally different from a visit visa and Only ircc can give a study permit not the school |
Ade1122:Go and submit ur passport for the vist visa firstly becos you applied 2 diff category of visa ..and paid 2 diff fees.also note that the visit visa approval does not mean ur sowp will be approved automatically.so go pick the visit visa and wait the outcome of the sowp.good luck |
raddyworld:somebody already offer you an honest advice..you cannot relocate geniuely on tourist visa thinking you can comvert to work or student visa . best option is Express entry route or apply student visa as a master student some school offer 1 yeat master program and u allow to go with ur family as a master student and u get 3 years post graduate work permit instead of gambling ur life and money on visiting visa that will land you on fail promise of lmia and later you end in asylum route that is not sure you will be granted..becareful of people asking you to inbox them ..you may get scammed or victim of unproffession quack immigration advice pls let be careful !! @ofime123 do not mislead people again becos same you claim last year and the admin warn you about lmia and truck driving job that people can travel on tourist or conference visa amd chamge in canada but many people that follow ur advice are now stranded in toronto will diff bogus asylum story after lmia and ur truck driver theory fail pls be honest with the truth and stop misleading people!! |
Newmum0615:If she travelling on a super visa she can buy a one way ticket since you not sure her return date and that why it called super visa ...print what is a super visa from ircc and she carry alone too ..With a super visa, eligible parents and grandparents can visit family in Canada for 5 years at a time while visitor can only stay 6 months .and remember the costly insurance requirement..abeg no waste ur money ..buy one way ticket and say she comung back after 4 years it allowed! |
Teeeteee130:Invitation Letter Proof of Enrollment at a school in canada Proof of Relationship( marriage cert) Financial Support Documents Accommodation Details( where you current live ur lease agreement) |
RyRyan:No zip folder allow but you merge as one pdf for each section like ur travel history |
Teeeteee130:SOWP applications are rarely refused if your documents are well-packaged and your school qualifies for SOWP. If a college doesn't offer PGWP, it means the primary applicant cannot work, which in turn affects the spouse's eligibility for SOWP. However, since SOWP has been canceled, except you apply to study for a master's or PhD due to current law , this rule does not applies to you since you already a student in canada Your spouse still qualifies. I would advise you to apply for a CBSA note to understand why the visa officer rejected your spouse application becos most sowp are rejected based on finance and l guess you need to work on finance . Once you know the reason, you can address it and reapply. Applying for a visitor visa and then considering flagpoling should be your last option! I wish you good luck |
maternal:And you think calling somebody's wife 'not smart' because they're not hiring for a six-figure job is not an insult? You need to grow up. Firstly, do you know how difficult it is to get a government job in Canada, especially when most are on one-year contracts? And do you really think government and private companies pay the same wage scale for the same job? Also, what percentage of the workforce is employed by the government on full-time contracts? I think because you've lived in Canada for over 15 years, you've lost touch with reality and the current economic and job situation. And you also think it's easy to get a city bus job? Come on, let people who have recently arrived here tell us. How many of them have been employed? Nobody is rejecting any job, but the current reality is that jobs are currently limited in Canada. Even citizens, residents, and students are struggling to find jobs. I think you need to make a more intelligent argument and be in touch with the current reality. I have said it before and I'll say it again... open a group and ask 20 people to send their resumes, then get a job for them, and only then will we take you seriously. Not all this ranting online, at least you're above 50 years old. |
maternal:I wish to add something to this discusion as a person currently in canada From the way you write and share information, it appears you're an aggressive, uneducated thug, potentially upset about Nigeria and making false claims about Canada just to justify nigeria is bad and canada is paradise . Firstly, your statement that managers earning less than 100k aren't smart is insulting to many educated Nigerians facing challenges in their pursuit of financial success due to limited job opportunities in canada. Comparing a city bus driver's job to a non-professional job earning above 100k shows a lack of understanding of the requirements for each role. You Mentioning a building engineering job with city council that are very hard to get, with many registered engineers earning less than 100k, highlights the challenges in the job market. It's important to grow beyond childish behavior and consider anger management. I recall justwise, the forum admin, correcting you previously for outbursts without proper research. Stating that cleaners earn 100k may mislead newcomers, especially when many are struggling to secure any job in Canada currently. Showing your message to a newcomer led them to suggest a psychoevaluation due to the perceived mix of anger and false information in your points. And to those considering moving to Canada, please do your research and avoid sentimental, unprofessional sweet-talker advice like this man because some regret relocating to Canada following a physiopath adviser like this man..do not assume all job posted online is real or avaliable..many will not even reply you. Maybe this sweet talker should create a group and start connecting many nigerian looking for job becos is creating a false narration how easy to get a job in canada |
Levels1:Hello, I am a traditionalist and realistic to the core. Your God is not my God. If your God does not fail, then you can stay here and honestly make it in your business and life without applying for a visa with fabricated documents for a visit and then arriving in another man's land, lying that you are gay or lesbian to deceive your God. But many forget that God is holy and pure and never supports dishonesty and fraudulent acts. So, if you want your God to hear you and not the drama we see all over the place called miracles, grace, faith ask yourself, am I upright in my ways? And that's part of the reason we are all in this mess in our country. We practice religion based on false sentiment rather than the rule and way of the God we presume to worship. To many liking your message, I am not IRCC and not the cause of this delay or the current high rejection rate. Also, blame your over 2000 brothers and sisters now in Canada on a visitor visa but making fake claims of asylum to cheat the system and also praying to God to bless the liars. What a Godly people. I laugh." |
Levels1:Sir, we no hear from u recently..hope all ok? I beg ,ple no sell ur farm land or any property yet..wait ircc reply u becos as things be now..visa no sure for new applicant with no travel experience! God save our country nigeria oo |
useni4james:Tell the Canadian to write a simple letter with his name and full address, indicating his invitation you as a friend or family member (brother, sister, uncle, etc.) To visit canada for maybe 7 days And providing accommodation include a copy of his ID like a passport or driving license..then tax return or bank account, or pay slip, if he or she is paying for the trip . |
useni4james:Are you a canadian resident or student? Or you in nigeria expecting invitation from canada to suport ur tourist application? But if u on asylum seeker or an asylum seeker invite you..it 99% rejection so becareful! |
Ephenzy:You very funny, you writing like canada visa is all about document ,5 years ago when u applied it was very difficult getting canada visa but late 2022 they relax the rule amd issue visa in mass approval even without travel experiencs but majority they got visa and travel to cAnada end up claiming asylum. you have 20m in acct but u never go ghana or uk or kenya or south africa or usa that have even more tourist location then canada but ur first move na canada where u have no family or relations..and u think they are dumb and will continue to issue visa to this same class with past experience about abuse of the visa, current complain and associated cost on the economic housing asylum seeker.pleaase be realistic and stop all this sentiment. |
modaylet:Go back to ur agent the email was changed by ur agent! |
Ephenzy:Sorry, timeline has nothing to do with approve or rejection, ircc only give preference sometime to elderly and thoes with usa visa often get faster decision and somebody here was rejected after 6 month on monday so longer waiting never equal to visa approval. |
oluayebenz:Let's be logical in our reasoning with facts: Canada is capping student visas due to concerns about pressure on accommodation, health facilities, and job availability. Many Canadian even residents are complaining, and it seems unlikely that the issuance of visitor visas will continue in large numbers. This is especially true considering the majority of arrivals are claiming asylum. Some provincial governments have already expressed concerns about the costs incurred in housing asylum seekers, turning it into a political issue.and many here think the liberal want to lose election due to immigration as the conservative are already blaming the govt for the problems ..l guess many people here do not know the politics of the west..the approval rate will drop drastically this year! |
Emma549:Sir, in September 2023, you provided a detailed explanation on the student section of how your wife obtained a student visa and you were approved for a spouse open work permit, allowing you both to arrive in Canada in September 2023 with ur family . However, now in Nigeria 2024, you are applying for a 10-year passport, and your eligibility has started. You have received a passport request and are sending your passport to IRCC for tourist visa . I am now confused..social media stories ![]() |
Better people apply fast as canada want follow uk on SOWP restriction and cap on international student numbers

I currently live in canada and Finding any job in Canada has become recently tough, and many people are struggling to express their difficulties. It's disheartening to see professionals taking low-paying jobs just to make ends meet due to the high cost of living. International students also face challenges finding work to support their education. The silent suffering is worsened by societal pressures back home. If you know someone who recently moved to Canada, reach out with words of encouragement, as many silently bear the burden, impacting their mental health. I met a girl on a bus in toronto who was crying after we discussed these challenges. Hoping for better times ahead.many on tiktok are making fake video of rosy life and even few that arrive and rush to buy house with money they bring from home country as down payment are now in debt due to high interest rate!! Not everything that shine is gold. .do ur reserach well before japa..you hardly can save money due to high cost of living! That my honest contribution. .Welcome to canada)) |
Levels1:I have no words for a man who comes to Nairaland seeking a lady by putting an advert online with his phone number. That act alone speaks volumes about you, so I reserve my comment. ![]() |
