If you're on a full scholarship covering living expenses (as many scholarships only cover partial costs), and you're fortunate to secure a fully funded scholarship, proof of funds isn't necessary. Simply present evidence of the scholarship, especially if it's a departmental one; your admission letter serves as confirmation. I'm acquainted with numerous scholarship students in Canada who didn't need to show proof of funds (ur bank statement) when fully funded!

Firstly, check the tuition fee. Is your scholarship full or partial, and does it cover your living cost, which is about 21,000 CAD as required by IRCC ? Then, you need to show proof of how you will fund the part not covered by the scholarship

if you relative is admitted to a school in Canada he will need apply study visa totally different from a visit visa and Only ircc can give a study permit not the school

Good day. I need expert opinion on this case scenario. I have been following this page since last year October as guest.

I submitted visit visa with following timeline:
Submission: 28th Sept 2023
Biometric: 3rd Oct 2023
Biometric Updated on application: 10th Oct 2023.

I later submitted SOWP with following timeline:
Upfront Medicals: 14th December 2023
Submission: 24th Dec 2023
Biometric on application still showed: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometric Updated on application: 27th Dec and showed completed in tracker

Medicals was updated passed Jan 3rd 2024 on visit application and completed on tracker but no update on SOWP application and tracker.

Application of visit visa was approved on 7th January 2024 and Passport request in 30 days, however nothing on SOWP.

Should I wait for result of SOWP before I submit passport (i.e. is there is possibility of outcome before 30 days) or make the submission right away? Thank you for your expert suggestions.

Timelines are to encourage all of us in the waiting list (I am always encourage seeing applications approved).

Go and submit ur passport for the vist visa firstly becos you applied 2 diff category of visa ..and paid 2 diff fees.also note that the visit visa approval does not mean ur sowp will be approved automatically.so go pick the visit visa and wait the outcome of the sowp.good luck

somebody already offer you an honest advice..you cannot relocate geniuely on tourist visa thinking you can comvert to work or student visa . best option is Express entry route or apply student visa as a master student some school offer 1 yeat master program and u allow to go with ur family as a master student and u get 3 years post graduate work permit instead of gambling ur life and money on visiting visa that will land you on fail promise of lmia and later you end in asylum route that is not sure you will be granted..becareful of people asking you to inbox them ..you may get scammed or victim of unproffession quack immigration advice pls let be careful !!

If she travelling on a super visa she can buy a one way ticket since you not sure her return date and that why it called super visa ...print what is a super visa from ircc and she carry alone too ..With a super visa, eligible parents and grandparents can visit family in Canada for 5 years at a time while visitor can only stay 6 months .and remember the costly insurance requirement..abeg no waste ur money ..buy one way ticket and say she comung back after 4 years it allowed!

Good day guys my wife SOWP visa was refused so I want to apply visiting visa for her.

1. Does her biometric for SOWP visa cover her for the visiting visa or she has to do biometric again?

2. What specific documents do I need to submit from my side (as an international student).

SOWP applications are rarely refused if your documents are well-packaged and your school qualifies for SOWP. If a college doesn't offer PGWP, it means the primary applicant cannot work, which in turn affects the spouse's eligibility for SOWP. However, since SOWP has been canceled, except you apply to study for a master's or PhD due to current law , this rule does not applies to you since you already a student in canada Your spouse still qualifies.
I would advise you to apply for a CBSA note to understand why the visa officer rejected your spouse application becos most sowp are rejected based on finance and l guess you need to work on finance . Once you know the reason, you can address it and reapply. Applying for a visitor visa and then considering flagpoling should be your last option! I wish you good luck

1. The poster said its impossible for a cleaner to make 6 figures. I said that's not true. Government employee cleaners in Canada can make 6 figures GROSS. I posted several links. If his wife has experience as a supervisor/ manager in that field and hasn't packaged herself well, in order to make that salary, that is on her. But I stand corrected, he's ignorant.

2. Stop your grammar. They're hiring city bus driver's. Go and apply and make a good salary. The other job was a building service attendant. NOT a building engineer. Basically a fancy way of saying a cleaner. Those jobs you can make 6 figures gross as I posted the link. It doesn't highlight any issues in the job market. It highlights the typical egotistical Nigerian who's more focused on job title, than what makes sense. In Canada, nobody cares what your profession is. Nobody will hail you because you're an X. Tell the Canadian to write a simple letter with his name and full address, indicating his invitation you as a friend or family member (brother, sister, uncle, etc.) To visit canada for maybe 7 days And providing accommodation include a copy of his ID like a passport or driving license..then tax return or bank account, or pay slip, if he or she is paying for the trip .

Timeline plays a major role in hopefulness if you are sure beyond reasonable doubts that you have been able to convince the visa officer that you will return to your country after your visit....

From experience, I have come to realize that the visit visa refusal comes within a week or less than a month after biometrics, and if you have not received any decision within this period you may likely be approved and also if there were any red flags in your application, it should have been seen at the time you submitted your application and you will be refused so that you can go back and correct that red flag and send in a proper application. Please in my opinion visa application is the most daunting experience and very few people can withstand the pressure that comes with the wait, this platform should be educative, calming and supportive as possible in my opinion.
Timeline:
Family Application submission: Nov16
Biometrics (husband only): Nov24th
Biometrics updated: Nov24th
Processing still ongoing....
(I applied in 2019 when I was single and was refused hence no biometrics for me)
