My wife and I got our Visiting Visa
We have 4 kids and 1 dependant (wife’s nephew). (Didn’t apply VV with them)
We are still in Nigeria.
My wife has her BEd Physical Education and Masters and I have a professional Diploma Statistics.
Our main aim is to move permanently with the kids.
I would sincerely appreciate advice on how to go about getting the right Status to enable bring in the kids and jobs that may Favour us to apply if that’s the case.

Baba, firstly no sell ur property before travel on vv, l will suggest you first try to come for like 2 months and see things for urself and also talk to trusted people inside already living in Canada and ask question please avoid all this all this sugar mouthed motivation speaker that are not in canada and also look at Express Entry and Nominee Programs (PNPs)..you can try chase lmia but do not put all ur egg in one basket ,lmia is hard and you may or may not get it especially now as the chance are so slim ...me don set plan B in motion ..l wish you and the children all the best

@Ruskov i just dey laugh you ...do you know how many Nigerian and other nationality that got vv this year and are currently in canada and the hustle for lmia is like war now some don pay for it codely and some don give up and overstay and some don face asylum which is 50/50 fail or pass chance ,some don return home ..you stay online in Nigeria and you dey hustle lmia ,how many don reply you ..na when you land you go see reality l still dey tell you na when you land you go know as he dey go, talk to people that land ,even student and are inside canada as many no want come online to share their pain ..all man go face it himself ,Na when you land you go know as he dey go .. you teaching people lmia tactics,lmia that you no get. urself NOT even visa yet ... you like a poor man giving people lecture how to be wealthy

As much as I do not want to enter this argument, I need to stress the part I bolded and let's not derail the thread.

A lot more women have done this to their spouses all in the name of pressure from friends/colleagues and more. Personally I always advise people to take heed and read more about the negative review of a place more than the sweet things; so if things do not go well you would quickly understand that i am aware (more like oh, I read about it before) but if it goes well, count yourself to be lucky.

Nigeria is in a state of calamity and cataclysm, hence more people are leaving on the regular, the rush to leave the country has made a lot of people research only on the good side of a country without reading the NEGATIVE reviews.

Throughout my lifetime (travels), I have got to meet at least one or two persons on every of my visit stranded overseas and wished they had researched and planned better, some of these people envy and see a genuine Tourist as "woow you are going back for real? I wish I can too" I understand the fervour, warmth and keenness attached to wanting to leave the country; It happens to me too despite just going for Tourism or Business.

In conclusion, let us evaluate a destination based on the positive and negative reviews so you won't be totally disappointed, for me I love to have a mild mindset about a destination and experience it first-hand, by then I will be able to write my own review(s).

Only few employers have lmia permit, they have turned it into business. They partnered with recruitment agencies and immigration lawyers to charge applicants. You won't even know that the company employing is involved. They stay anonymous.

People are using licensed immigration consultants(RCIC) you're talking about your experience with agents. Have you guys not been warned severally to stop patronizing agents? After falling for agents who lied to you, you'll start faulting the immigration process. Nobody sent you message to be searching for agents running package.

Read up how to find Canadian CV on line and start submitting applications for jobs etc. Try to also see if you have family members , use their Canadian address and telephone number while you prepare to join them in due course.

firstly,lmia is extremely hard compare to how the greedy agent portal to me before coming to Canada , and most recruiter are not ready to listen to your visitor visa story even for mental jobs ,secondly rent is very expensive if you have no SURE family or SURE friends becos many people themselves are managing and do not want to tell you their real life struggle until you land and see for urself ..i only work fews time for cash based on job l see on facebook advert which is not constant and even to get house they require ur local id and want to run credit check or somebody to stand for you to get accommodation which is not cheap and sharing like 3 to 4 people in a room not allow ...landlord go tell you only one person allowed even visitor go get number days he can spend so how will a person maintain this huge expenses without a constant job becos even for student to get job are not easy in Canada forget what you ready online when you land you go face reality.and l see some people option for asylum but it a 50/50 chance if you claim fail na deportation order direct.even people who claim asylum, Ontario govt last week say them no receive funding from govt so you on ur own for accommodation you can see it in the news ..asylum seeker may end on street soon due to cut in govt funding and canada govt to give priority to citizen due to homelessness ...my guy the Canada journey is for a strong mind ....please anybody with vv can come but be prepare not based on sweet talk from motivational speaker or blogger that only want to get more followers!! And hold cash to survive !!and anything anybody tell you please confirm no make mistake l make to believe the lmia easy story.and some people go pay for lmia and come online to lie about it again and some get scam and cannot talk ...see many things dey happen ..make l just face my line ...you land canada and just face village to get lmia na so he be ...you think canada na jos or minna ..you go just walk to people farm..make people come canada and experience things themselves and without a canada licence and experience you cannot a truck driver job due to safety concerns ...welcome to Canada

I’ve talked about this and will say it again, I’m an advocate of “God will do it” but we still need to accept reality n plan base on that. My colleagues traveled to Canada 2021 to visit his family, he’s the only one in naija, I was so pissed when he came back, I asked why he couldn’t just get a job and stay. He told me it’s not that easy, that was his own experience.

Since my wife travelled for her PGD, I’ve bn the one helping her with job applications. For international students who is legally allowed to work to struggle landing a menial job, imagine how difficult it will be for someone on visit visa. During job application when filling the questionnaire, employers always ask if you’re legally permitted to work, most of them don’t want to go through that stress of getting LMIA.

I won’t advise anyone not to try, just make adequate plans. Have something you can fall back on incase that doesn’t work out. I know the situation of the country, I know not everyone will have the opportunity to use PR or study route, but pls make good plans. Don’t put all your hope in what’s not 100% guaranteed. Agents will only sweet talk to cash out leaving you to your reality when you land. I remember how agent sugarcoated things for my younger brother, she told him rent is 50 cad, Job is easy n all. I had him introduce him to Nairaland study thread to see people’s experiences, he got to Canada n blocked the agent after realizing she lied to him.

I’m not discouraging anyone, I’m sure people have used this route and doing well. Just plan, have realistic expectations and pray.

Both He and his wife are based in Canada as I type. He got a job with LMIA and his wife got SOWP. They both working today . Currently on their way to PR(judging by the last time I spoke with them). They relocated as far back as 2021.

Your visa application has been approved or refuted, in your case , I believe it was approved.
The enemy in this case is VFS.

You should exercise patience , and do more of sending emails to VFS going forward.
Congrats on your relocation to Canada , do well to make us proud. Try to get jobs if you a tech person , start right out with vanhack.com and see if you can also get Jobs there.

Or check webs for companies that offer LMIA, and see if you can secure open or closed permits. Once again , best of luck.

If I were to suggest and advice , I wouldn't know your background, but nearly everyone I been in contact with with other backgrounds are migrating to tech. I'd say for easier and safer landing , would you consider that?

teacher, be careful of weak advice you dey give people because you no dey canada and you never enter and stop giving fake hope , l dey here 3 month now and l never smell constant job ….it not easy and forget tech you dey preach ,a person that get tech skill needed in canada no go come with tourist dey hustle lmia, ..people are losing job in canada too and.
