Good morning Fam, please I need your help. I applied for Canada visa and Italian visa and had my biometric done same day 25th January. I had done that because I felt Canada delay in response and by the time my passport gets to me from the Italian embassy Canada may not have responded. However fate had a different plan. February 3 just one week after Canada approved my application and requested for my passport. I am 20days past and no response yet from the Italian embassy. I sent emails all week to please release my passport but they didn’t respond to my mail.

Please advice can I send an email to IRCC pleading they extend my submission date . I don’t even know what else to do.
Yes, send a webform to canada asking for extension of ur passport submission and explain the reason

Please go to YouTube and watch many video on how to fill out the Canada student permit application, arrange your proof of funds, and demonstrate your home ties. Also, keep in mind that schools are not your friends—they are businesses looking for customers and have no influence on visa decisions grin

Did you complete a prerequisite course before getting the acceptance letter from the college or University? if you did a prerequisite course then you can apply from inside Canada... If you didn't I don't advise you applying form inside Canada... But you can do your own research thanks .. student approval rate is high compared to visitor visa .
Sorry, but a prerequisite course is not compulsory as long as you have your letter of admission and PAL. You can still apply from inside canada. I know people who took a prerequisite course and still got refused, while others who did not take it had their visas approved. So, it is not an essential requirement just you know ircc are getting strict now as even student already inside canada can be refused student permit extention.

Good morning house, pls i am in canada with a visitors visa but i am decided to school here and i have gotten admission and PAL. Now i want to apply for a study visa/work permit. Pls help out its URGENT. Thank you house
You applying study visa not visit visa nd pleaae package ur application well especially pof and ur home ties and dnt take for granted that you applying inside canada it make no differemt to ircc and it more easier, cheaper to apply outside canada than inside especially medical cost and refusal rate are higher now .l wish you good luck

You can go ahead. I evaluated my post graduate diploma from ABU DLC with WES and it came out as a Canadian equivalent of one year post graduate diploma.
Evaluating only a postgraduate diploma without your BSc certificate is not a good plan because you will not receive two or more certificates point , and it is not a master's degree. So, know the differencehuh Or,anybody can you explain it more

- Where is your proof that majority of Nigerian - Canadians often face significant challenges? Share the data please.

- I though it is implicit in migration that most people are fleeing one form of challenge or the other. So should we begrudge people of the thought that their life in Canada is a step-up on their previous life? It is their life, their thought.... Life will always have its challenges, being 6ft under presents none.

- Next time, try and engage in creative gestation and be original. Using AI to generate content in support of discrimination is unbecoming. The people who came up with AI were busy working to provide solutions to people's problems not engrossed with bias.
I dnt need ur baseless lectures becos you cannot shame fact, the trust with ur AI assumption and maybe next time do that correction to ur family at home not me . if l may ask you how many nigerian earn above 85k per year in canada let start from that calculation or how many newcomers are emoloyed in their professional field.

All your assumptions are WRONG
That's the problem you ppl have
You think expressing reservations have to do with personal interest

Migration to Canada based on my personal circumstances won't be so difficult for me IF I CHOOSE TO.
The UK has been so good to me these years I've been here

Everything I say here is for two reasons

1. To call BS out AND
2. To warn gullible and impressionable newcomers from my country going to Canada *or the UK, my side of the fence)

That's it

You say I am "picking fights"
Picking fights with who ?
Most definitely not my fellow nigerians (cos I love yall) and most definitely with no "pajeet" either

All I do is to warn ppl of how SOME of these fellows can be....
It's left for you to accept

Or continue living in dreamland and "being in solidarity " with people who hate your guts.

It's up to you
Please disregard any negative comments. The majority of individuals, particularly Nigerians in Canada, often face significant challenges, as many are on low wages and struggle to make ends meet. However, having come from societies where they experienced oppression, they tend to view their new life in Canada as a great improvement, even if it still comes with its own difficulties. For many, the contrast to their previous circumstances leads them to perceive even modest progress as a valuable opportunity, despite facing racism, health challenges, and a lower quality of life in Canada, as they have already come to view suffering as a way of life grin

These people are far from perfect just like every other group of people in this country but don't internalize those things that you see on twitter grin
Calling people out for bad behavior is not hatred. You are simply acting unwisely. Many Canadians are already calling them out, and they are resorting to the same weak defense of hiding behind accusations of racism—just like you are doing now. Sorry, but your defense is weak!

Pardon my questions i don't know much about travelling.
The only positive signal is that, thank God, you came online to share this information before scammers start approaching you with different formats, including fake sponsorship job offers they send to you, maybe from Indeed, JobBank, or LinkedIn. How do you mean stranger? people who post vacancies on websites and then "strangers" apply and interview them what do you call that? must all employees be your family members or friends? perish that mentality please.
Stop deceiving yourself grin. There are thousands of people with caregiver certificates inside Canada who are unemployed, and this new caregiver pathway is just another loophole Canada is creating to bring people in, which will be exploited after they close the LMIA route. They created this new program, but I'm not surprised, considering it's the same government that closed the Roxham ROAD Crossing to stop the flow of asylum seekers, yet still went ahead and approved visit visas in mass, allowing people to arrive in large numbers via the airport. I think the government enjoys the havoc they often create in the system. This new caregiver pathway to PR is leading people to pay AS high as $30,000 to secure a spot because it will eventually lead to PR. Even if you find a Nigerian who needs a caregiver, they will prefer to give the job to a family member or do it for money. Please be careful of scam job offers you see online , as I've seen many strange job offers recently, where you will be asked to pay a work permit processing fee. Please shine ur face well ,well!

IRCC does not request NDLEA clearance. Moreover, IRCC does not send email letters directly to applicants. Instead, they upload such letters to your portal if additional information is needed, and you receive an email notification to check your portal.

Hello

Please I need someone who's very knowledgeable about VISA application processes to assist with guidance for VISA application.

I'd appreciate when the process is completed.

Thank you
You will get scammed with this approach to a visa application. You can handle everything yourself, from admission to the visa application process. Stop seeking just any type of visa; that era is over, so you don’t end up stranded in Canada. It seems you are the same person who was looking for a canada visit visa and is now seeking agent for a student visa!

Hello everyone! Please I need your opinion.

My visa was refused twice last year so I’m planning to reapply again.

NOTE!
- I submitted my dad’s personal account, his business account and my own personal accounts.
- He transferred some money to my account(30m) and we did a gift deed affidavit.
- I paid one semester tuition (It’s a one year programme)

My application was refused based on financial reasons. After requesting for my GCMS notes, I found out that they focused more on my dad’s business account which had some lump sums and they didn’t even check my personal account.

Now, to move forward, I want to pay my complete tuition and I intend to use only my account which has #30,000,000 as POF for living expenses because I don’t want my dad’s account to complicate things. The money has been in my account for 4 months. Do you think that will be enough?
You made mention that ur husband now live in canada but on which status resident, student or what status ??

My study visa was rejected twice last year and I’m thinking of applying for VV because my husband is already in Canada. Is this a wise move? Hope it won’t seem like I’m desperate cos my study visa was rejected last month?

I’ve already paid my fees so I’m thinking of deferring till September or January while I process my visitor visa and hopefully when I get there I will reapply for a study visa.

Does this make sense please?
Your husband is in canada on what status as student or what??

I don’t know about how to go through this documentation process since I don’t have a Job at the time. Please kindly assist house.
Secondly do you think it’s advisable that I’m visiting my girlfriend?
You want to apply for a visit visa, but you have no job and no travel experience, which is a huge red flag and ur visa will be refused. Tell your canadian girlfriend to visit you in Nigeria, then you can get married and apply under spouse sponsorship to relocate to Canada.

You have 30 days to submit your passport for visa stamping, and with the new rule, it is not 100% guaranteed that you will get a 10-year visa until the end of your passport's validity, as the visa officer can still decide otherwise.

If so many Nigerians are "escaping" to Canada and not immigrating, it's their choice, these people didn't and would never ask you for assistance - focus on what works for your life.
I guess my post is affecting your business of selling TEF and other travel packages to your gullible followers, but let me correct the wrong impression you’ve posted. Please note that majority of jobs posted on Job Bank are either outdated, fake, or dummy jobs created to secure LMIA. That’s why you keep applying a million times without any reply. I think the world has changed a lot that it has become imperative for people to be flexible. Even in the US people still struggle so it’s not peculiar to Canada. Till date many people still get jobs before landing Canada and there exist many vacancies in different fields. One must re-skill if necessary. Gone are those days that one will hold unto an educational certificate like a chieftancy title. The research I had referenced in my earlier bashing was determining what is in demand and aligning with it, not trying to force the market to accept you.
I understand your comment is shaped by experiences of corruption, poverty, and lack of functional systems back home. However, an educated European engineer would not dismiss education and years of experience as a "chieftaincy title." While Express Entry prioritizes skills, the reality is far from ideal, and dismissing years of education and experience as a "chieftaincy title" devalues the very qualifications that skilled immigrants were selected for. Unlike in the U.S., where many I know thrive professionally, Canada often forces skilled workers into unrelated jobs, further devaluing their qualifications. Your mindset, like many others with painful backgrounds, suggests you are escaping rather than emigrating. An average Nigerian like you is not migrating but escaping, rooted in the struggles of your homeland. This reflects a self-diminishing view of education and overlooks systemic flaws that exploit immigrants through taxes while offering little support. This is my last response to avoid derailing the forum.thank you

Wsx2, I do not understand this your campaign again, we have had discussions on this on this thread. People are saying Canada is bad, it is not worth it, it is expensive, but those people do NOT want to leave Canada. If it is so bad, why are they still therehuhhuh The best example anyone can give is after they have packed their bags, left Canada and then do their videos from their new locations.
What I am pleading with you, and I have told you this before, those of you there should be telling those outside how to navigate life in Canada when and if they decide to come.
One way to navigate life in Canada is to come prepared with your tuition fees and living expenses. Do not rely solely on working to cover these costs, as many students struggle to find jobs for months. Additionally, studying in Canada does not guarantee permanent residency (PR), despite the significant amount spent on education including loans. Many students regret coming to Canada via the study route but feel trapped due to shame or having nothing left at home after selling their property. To avoid such a situation, choose your course, province, and school wisely, considering the system's current needs, and plan carefully to prevent ending up in a difficult position!

I'll also add that the skills/strategies required to thrive in Nigeria is quite different from what is required to thrive in Canada. People have different reasons for moving to Canada and the hardship people face at first is usually compounded by lack of understanding of the system. No amount of preparation may prepare you for some of the things you'll encounter but if you remain strong, you'll thrive.
When I moved here in 2022 my biggest fear was the job market hence I got a job in my field before landing. Close to my travel date, I found it hard finding anyone to accommodate me for the first two weeks. Friends in Canada who stayed at my apartment in Lagos each time they visited kept telling me how their house was full and all. I didn't understand because in Nigeria I accommodate people (friend of brother, friend of friend, sibling of friend...) hence I didn't think in the line of air bnb. When I arrived I noticed how heavily indebted people were. Even the whole "I bought a house" is different from home purchase in Nigeria as I knew it. Some people buy a house via mortgage and rent out all spare rooms. That was something new to me. Same people whose homes were full later offered me spot in their home for $800 or $1000 a month when they noticed that I actually had a job in Canada. Its a brutal system where people look to profit off others irrespective of the situation. I remained strong, stayed in that air bnb, built my credit and eventually moved into a condo. The rental market was very competitive then and nobody was willing to rent to me as a newcomer with no credit history. Hence I advice people to not be too quick to re-connect with old foes or make friends. After sometime, newcomers will understand the system and find it easier to thrive
The current job market IN canada presents significant challenges, with many professionals struggling to secure employment aligned with their career aspirations. While Canada offers an excellent quality of life, the scarcity of job opportunities has forced many to rely on survival roles, such as Uber or food delivery, which barely cover expenses due to the high cost of living. This has created an unsustainable and stressful situation for those aiming for long-term career progression.GOD HELP US ALL

Just one of the things I had in mind when I typed that too. Maybe you don't know. Italians have a rich history in Montreal and Toronto, as its mafia has a history just as rich too. Organized crime in Canada rakes in billions of dollars every year and those at the top are more light-skinned than ever. Italians, chinese, vietnamese, etc. make up a sizeable bunch. Tse Chi Lop, one of the most notorious drug lords in Canada who allegedly controlled more than 70% of the Austrialian meth market and reportedly made over $8billion a year (mind-blowing, right!?), is in no way black. Who knows how much drug and child pornography money is going to house purchases all over Vancouver and Toronto, and they are getting purchased mostly by Chinese Canadians who are still partly resident in Macau or Hong kong. And of course, everyone knows how much illicit wealth flows into Hong Kong yearly. If all you see are cars being hijacked and sent to Nigeria and Ghana, then I'm fairly convinced you aren't just that knowledgeable on crime in Canada and those who commit them. You still aren't seeing beyond your nose.

I'm just always amazed at the self-righteous ignorance many once-new, but now comfortable black immigrants display when they see news clips or instagram reels showing a few black kids breaking into a store. They see the media promoting these images and they develop a guilty pang that makes them start hating their own race and thinking their own people are those destroying the country. It's pathetic, really. Needs a new change of mindset. To not see the French mob boss sitting in his bloody palatial mansion in Montreal as the evil, but instead the 19-year-old black kid who is just being unruly.
In summary of your point and defense tactics, you subtly agreed that our people are just smaller thieves, like startups, stealing cars and shipping them to Africa with gangs breaking into shops to steal while the bigger thieves are others. I get your point now, and this concludes the discussion. Thank you

You are so naive. The richest villains in Canada aren't even black. You have no clue. Those making millions and millions in the illicit trade in guns and drugs in Canada are neither black nor brown.
I see many Nigerians on this forum here are set who work in offices. After work, they jump into their cars and drive home. Google is their source of information, but they forget that some of us are on the streets, observing and understanding what is really happening. Even the simplest questions asked by others fellow is avoided. The cars being sent to Nigeria and Ghana are stolen and shipped to these countries by the Italian mafia or the Black Italian mafia grin. Many of the gangs attacking jewellery stores recently , as well as the individuals buying those stolen cars to ship to Africa, are dark-skinned or brown Italian mafia members.
You guys are too far from the reality on the streets and too reliant on Google search engines. .anyway it’s better not to know the truth, as people stay glued to Google to defend what they know little of nothing about , searching for information about the Italian mafia while calling others naive. grin

I live close to a hotel in Niagara falls where ircc is housing refugees and I can tell you that ircc is currently issuing refugee claimant documents and accepting refugees and giving them positive responses without granting interviews or hearing date . A lady from Uganda who seeks refugee status in last November is now a permanent resident as we speak.. she got a positive responses from irb board with going for hearing... I know all cases are different I will not advise anybody not to seek refugee status. Do what you can to get out of Nigeria.
Are you from Uganda? Because in Uganda, homosexuality carries the death penalty for 'aggravated homosexuality, despite widespread condemnation from rights groups and others abroad. President Yoweri Museveni signed the bill into law, and it is easier for a judge to believe a person from Uganda than a Nigerian. So, prepare your case well, as you will be called to face a refugee board hearing and interview as a Nigerian. Hopefully, the law does not change before your hearing date, as many laws around asylum may be changed.
