Update: As I finished posting the previous message, I got an email from CIC to check my online app. I did and saw a biometric correspondence letter. I’m just hoping for the best. My application is currently over 8 weeks. Orlarshaynee: Me sef o. I have been waiting; it’s been 3 weeks and few days My medical status showed passed on my app. They should just do fast, because my tuition deadline for first term is fast approaching and Nigerian banks too have their own wahala. We will share good news by God’s grace. |

You need to first ask yourself what programme you want to enrol in. If you select just any school/programme, it may affect you, particularly when you get to the statement of purpose (SOP) aspect, because you will need to convince the Visa Officer (VO) about the relevance of such programme to your field of study or intended career path. boommer: Good morning day all..please I need help from any body I'm currently looking for Canadian universities that accepts unofficial transcript. They are silly. If you wanted to stay there illegally and not study, you already have a visa for that. That should be enough evidence to them that you are going for what you said you are. Study. lynniebabes: Purpose of visit. I ordered gcms and was told my sop was vague and poorly documented. Which I tried to rectify with the help of some in house guru. I don’t what’s wrong with this people. Though I have a valid visit visa. I have been to Canada and back. |

The truth is they do this on purpose. They know a lot of people try to come in through the study route, so they try to be overly strict with approvals. Ginaruby: If an application like this is rejected i get confused, can someone help us understand. |

What was the reason for refusal the first time? lynniebabes: My medical just changed to pass. I submitted 11th of October. eligibility and background check started running concurrently. Same thing happened with my previous application. Same time frame and I was refused three weeks later. Anyone with such experience? |

I will advise you apply online rather than going through the paper based route. You will only need to provide scanned copies of your documents. Also, for siblings brith certificate, I don’t think that is needed. As I don’t know the full details of your application, I may not be totally able to advise on what document you will need, however, I know the online application option will provide you a checklist, which you should follow. There is a slot for additional information (which is optional); this is where things like: travel history, Nysc, WAEC, transcripts and the likes can be uploaded; as ONE document, so you will need to copy and paste all document into one file. I hope this was helpful? silvafox: Hello, house, I am about to submit my study permit application for Canada, my problem is I don't know what document photocopies I am supposed to take to the court for certified true copy and how much it costs. I don't know if I would be submitting my original documents too I don't know if all my siblings birth certificates must be from national population commission too |

UPDATE: it seem as though I was looking at the wrong part of my online application on CIC website. I was expecting to receive an email saying I had a message to read on my online application. This wasn’t the case. After checking and checking, I realised that my medical result had been sent and from the status message displayed; I passed. I had also called IOM earlier and they verified that my result was sent 2 days after my medical appointment. I take it back, IOM isn’t as bad as I thought. Orlarshaynee: Thanks for the advice and restoring hope in some of us.
I recently got invited for medicals and decided to use IOM over Q-life, which was cheaper but offered between 3-10 business days for sending report. To my surprise, IOM was a complete mess. They had issues with their x-ray machine and needed to take us to a nearby hospital. The whole process took time. I had my appointment from 11:30am but was there till almost 8pm. They said it would take 3 business days for report to be uploaded. It is now about a week and still nothing. I'm actually regretting not using Q-life.
Does anyone have an experience with Q-life Lagos? They should please share with the house, as I would at this time discourage people from using IOM.
Sorry for my ranting , I just thought people should be informed |

As advised already, just evaluate your MSc since it was from the UK. Also, for charges on sending transcript to WES, it depends on your school. In my case, they sent it to WES as soon as I requested for it; after providing them with my WES Ref No. You should email your school to find out how they handle such. magd: 1.You can evaluate only your msc and since it's foreign no need for neco wahala. 2. Not needed since you won't be evaluating bsc 3. You need to check with the school for the fees associated to send your transcript to Wes 4. Depends on the score I don't know how low it is but I know when you max out ielts it adds points. Also people write TEF which adds a lot of points too. If your occupation is in demand in a particular province you can try pnp too. The experts here will throw more light here as I just dropped the little I know. All the best. |

Heard WES is faster, also, some institutions only allow evaluation from WES and maybe ICAS. It depends on where you are applying to, just make sure what ever body you are using for evaluation is acceptable. ObodoNaija: Why do most people go for Wes evaluation when their are a lot of evaluating firm. I want to use Span-Tran n evaluate my credentials cus it is cheaper and all I need to send is my degree transcript. It is recognized by Naces n most schools I want to apply to recognizes it. Is there any advantages of using Wes? I want to know so that I don't make mistakes. |
Travel › Re: How To Send WAEC Results To WES by Orlarshaynee: 10:48am On Mar 02, 2019 |
I think it depends on what you want to use the evaluation for. For PR to Canada, if you had your MSc from a University in UK, USA, and the likes, you may not need to evaluate your BSc, but if you had your MSc in Nigeria, I would suggest you evaluate both BSc and MSc (as some Nigerian MSc are classified as International BSc which gives a slight edge over just a BSc). Also, if you are trying to apply to a college, you only need your BSc from what I have been told. I hope this helps. dhurtman: Am planning to do my evaluation with WES and am confused weather I need to declare my BSc since I have already completed my MSc, the reason is because I watched a video online that states that MSc holders should declare BSc certificate and I read somewhere else that you only declare your highest certificate. Please help |

I also plan on doing this, however, I may still need to pay for my University to send official copies of transcripts to WES, so I feel I can either send a copy of my certificate with WAEC confirmation or with transcript from school. Thelmah27: Hello, can i send other documents along with the Confirmation of result and scratch card? I need to include a copy of my Degree certificate. I dont want to send it separately. |

I stand to be corrected, but from my understanding you do not need WAEC or NECO for PR especially if you have a higher educational qualification such as BSc or MSc. I think most people here who are trying to sending their WAEC for evaluation are doing so for educational purposes not Immigration. bettyLad: Please I want to ask,for Canada PR I thought we are to access our highest degree only as that would b my Bsc,I didn't use waec to enter the university as I didn't make math and English,I wrote my waec in a public school so I register neco gce which I used to enter the university, how do I access my neco gce now? Please help or is it just waec that is needed .I don't even have my weav sit number and centre number again |

From what I have gathered so far, that form is for the e-pin (in a case where you can't get the scratch card). Please do confirm. Kobaro: Wow. This is new. Where exactly are you filling that form? Please is it advisable to send the WAEC verification document by oneself or by allowing WAEC send it directly to WES? Also, I'm new in all this and require some clarification: Can I send my WAEC verification along side the scratch card to save cost? Thank you all. Lamgirl: Hello House, Please can two people send their waec verification in a small envelop each to WES in bigger envelop. |

Please I need help, I have my first degree from a Nigerian Uni, masters degree from a UK uni and now I am looking at applying for a graduate certificate program in Canada, I want to know if it won't be an overkill to include my masters degree in my application. Also, I am aware of the FSW thingy for express entry and I'm also exploring that, however, I have heard that even I get into Canada through the express entry programme, getting a job wouldn't be easy and I may need to obtain a Canadian educational qualification even if its a diploma before I can easily be considered by job recruiters P.S. Proof of funds and travel history aren't are problem for me, what are my chances of getting a student visa?. Austacus: Your funds is very good and it can give you a visa and your current employment are good also. so now, you will have to work on your family tie and purpose of Visit. Just to let you know that Dubai and South Africa is not regarded as a travel history (as far as Canada visa is concerned) well, they don't just refuse visa on zero travel history, though they will mention it with other reasons Tackle the other reasons and travel history will fly away. Your US denial doesn't have any negative influence on your Canada visa... it does, if you were banned. If you're not in a rush, order your Gcms to know the exact thoughts of the VO that handled your application. July is summer so you have time to order for your Gcms |
