What's d right word to use for ur boyfriend's siblings, d ones u r older than.
My roommate in d university was shocked wen I told her I call my bf's siblings by name, (I went to a private uni) and she told me its verry wrong to call them by name even if I am older than them, (asper culture nau) she gave me some reasons I already know.
My boyfrnd then was d first born and am older than 2 of his siblings., I call them by names.
Well, it cud be wrong buh I believe he hasn't proposed to me,and moreover both of us were just trying to be optimistic abt d whole thing (dats wat relationship is all abt, anything can happen)
I ad so many experiences wen I was growing up (am d last born outta 6 children), my cousin's babe then use to call us 'aunty' and she's like 7 or 8 yrs older than I am. Things ddnt work out btw her and my couz buh till date she still calls us dat 'aunty' wherever she meets us, she doesn't hide it and she educated as well, infact her level has passed my couz's level now.
My sis in law calls us by name, and she gives us our respect, she practically sed it right from d first day she came into our house, (abt 10yrs ago) dat she can't call anyone 'aunty' (mumsy wasn't too happy with dat) but it ddnt change or stop anything.( She's married to the first born and only son)
I av lots of experience so I dnt thnk its abt aunty and brother.
Respect is reciprocal, calling dem by names doesn't mean I won't respect them.
Am dating someone else nw and he sed it last week, well we were actually joking and gisting so it wasn't that he was scolding me or something. (I gist very well with his younger brother). The relationship is abt 6months...
Am educated and I need him to do wats right first, I dnt want to be too forward. U kw guys, if u like call aunty and brother, do laundry, cook, be nyc to frnds & family, wat they'd do is inside their mind. So pls wats ur opinion abt dis.
