A journey of boredom. I woke up by 3am on 28th and after getting my acts together, I was off to MMIA. I got there, did the normal filling of forms and my bags were checked. Fastforward immigration screening and searching, we were sat at the waiting room for our flight. Finally we were off to casablanca. I sat with a nigerian based in UK and we spoke twice or thrice because there wasn't any entertainment. Got to casablanca and after a two hours wait, we left for jfk. It was one long and boring journey. The white guy refused to talk and I was there playing music and watching movies. The Food was terrible too. There was turbulence towards the end of the journey and peple were laughing and praying. Landing wasn't nice too but all in all we got there without problem. Poe wasn't how it was painted here. They ask u the basics and they stamp and sign ur passport. Took a shuttle bus to west haven and I am in a local hotel for now.
The cold here is guaranteed pneumonia. |

EJINNE: Thnxx @ claasicalmusic @ osahon9 if u folo well, u wld c I wrote... no document was collected. Last time I checked, you complete your ds160 before going for the interview. There is a section for work experience/training Where you fill in where you work, how much you earn and stuffs. So you think they can't verify these right? So if your application is waterproof, and what you filled in ur ds160 is correct, why not wait for them to give you a call. For your information, your application is scored before your interview. when you come in for the interview, it's just for you to convince them that you are a genuine student and not an intending immigrant. |

ebdib: First. Have a plan. Spend the first 2 minutes on a plan. Here's what I mean by plan paragraph 1: idea Body Example.
Paragraph 2: Idea Body Example .
You should have at least five paragraphs Introduction Body 1-4 Conclusion.
In your introduction. Please don't talk too much. Just introduce your stance on the topic. Body 1-4. Distinct ideas with coherent continuation. There must be examples. These paragraphs 1-4 must agree with the introduction. Conclusion by summarising your points.
Now you've done all of these. If you don't punctuate well you won't score beyond 4. To score between 5-6, you must punctuate well. Remember all spellings should be American. No colour, doughnuts (donut) etc.
Also practice typing on a computer. The longer the better. Proof read your work 5 mins to the end of the essay. Do this, and you're getting a solid 5 (93rd percentile) Goodluck After practising day and night for the writing section, still ended up with 3.0..SMH |

@profojah sorry for the delay. I agree absolutely with @repsin. I want to add something too. I think if you don't have experience in ur intended major, then your application sounds desperate. you just rounded up your nysc, probably you were teaching there or something. They know it's difficult to get a job in nigeria but that doesn't mean you shouldn't look for a job say within one year from when you rounded up nysc. Applying for visa immediately after nysc is a sign of desperation. I have seen so many denials to back this up. From my experience, you need to show them you know what you want from experience/training and even if you are not working, you are not idle. My 2kobo cos dollar don too high |

But if they ask tell them. That's my 2 cent. Something pushed me to check ur profile and I believe something is really wrong here. You did post on December 2, that a friend of urs used a fake bank statement. Then december 8, you posted your interview transcript for november 28 and the stories were outright similar. Hope you are not going there with another fake bank statement. Me know say na you be the two persons. |

portelli: Bro Walspring, I'm very very sorry about the refusal. But I so much concentrate where the VO asked: did U applied to schools outside the US? U said: No. And the Vo ask again how many in Nigeria? U ans: yes yabatech. The no 1 thing I noticed was that ur answers to both questions were inconsistent, because Nigeria is still outside US, you should have answered no when the vo asked 'how many in 9ja'. 2ndly, since U applied to schools in 9ja, that signifies that u still have interest in studying in 9ja, vo might suggest you should go ahead with ur study in 9ja and leave US unis alone. But don't give up . Ure almost the True!! |
